A nice little place to grab a beer and get some food. The server did a great job as we had a big party and took up the entire back room. I especially liked the beer list that included craft beer. The menu had a variety of items to chose from and the burger looked really good. I went with a crab cake, fries, and a side salad. The crab cake was really good and filling (about 6 oz). The only downside was that I couldn't get a baked potato on the side until after 4. I'll be back!

Awesome Thanksgiving experience!!! Definitely considering returning here next year... food buffet was delicious, service courteous, and ambiance comfortable--like being at home.

My lunch date suggested this restaurant. We were warmly greeted by our host/waitress Sophia who provided excellent and thoughtful service from the moment we sat down to order to when we got up after paying the bill. The restaurant inside is modern and very unassuming from the outside where we actually sat. Our food was delicious large in portions. Ultimately, a trip worth taking for great service and excellent food. We already planned a return trip.

This is my third time here in the past two weeks. The first time the food was pretty good. I got the open faced turkey sandwich. The second time was amazing. I got the shrimp and crab Chesapeake pasta. Today I was going to order that again but my friend ordered crab dip as an appetizer so I ordered the salmon with asparagus and a baked potato instead. The salmon and asparagus were awful. The salmon was thin and flat and completely encrusted with black and white sesame seeds and a balsamic soy sauce (supposed to be a ginger soy sauce but I didn't taste any ginger) which I didn't care for. I scraped the sauce off and wiped it off the plate with a napkin and put lemon on it but those sesame seeds were just an off putting texture. I thought it would have a few sprinkles of seeds over it but it was just too much. The asparagus tasted good until about half way down the stalk. Then it became hard and tough. I was unable to bite it. It was like eating bamboo. The server came back and saw I had not eaten my food and asked if I wanted a box. It was a $27 meal so I said yes and explained I didn't care for the taste or texture of the food. She said ok and just brought me the box. So all I ate was my side salad and baked potato. I could have gotten that at Wendy's drive thru for for 1/4 of the cost of this meal. When she offered dessert I hinted that I had not eaten dinner yet so I'd be skipping dessert and would have to get dinner elsewhere. She ignored that comment too. I feel disappointed more wasn't done to offer me a better dining experience. :(

What a lovely place! Casual, no fuss, good food, and Laura our server was delightful. It's going into our regular rotation.

The Chesapeake omelette is ridiculous. It's just sad that it comes with one piece of bread not to because it's very good.

Yes it's slower than the fast food drive thrus because your order is made from scratch. Real home fries perfectly cooked on a hot griddle is a good test. Best of all was our server Ryley working by herself at 7 AM opening. She never stops moving, has a sharp memory and wouldn't let me find the bottom of my coffee cup. The fast food joints are clustered at the I-70 exit if you're rushing through. You will not be disappointed if invest a few more minutes added to your trip and experience a successful small town restaurant. There aren't many like this any more. That's ok; every place has its own way do doing things. I waited. Noticeably, I was the only person of color in the entire restaurant. Still, I waited because no tables were available and they could see I was there. They made eye contact several times, walked by me several times. Finally, a table was turned over (very very slowly). I anticipated that would be mine since I'd been waiting and no one else was there. While the table was being turned over, another party came in. They were not spoken to either. When done, the woman who had turned over the table greeted them and walked them to the fresh table. She looked at me and turned away. I watched, confused. Someone who appeared to be a manager or owner hopped down off her stool at the bar having seen what happened, spoke to the hostess and asked me if I wanted to sit at the bar. I declined. I had waited and I wanted a table. The woman just turned and walked back to her seat at the bar. No apology (though she saw what happened), no indication of making it right. The hostess appeared annoyed but not apologetic and said nothing. I ended up leaving because the people there made us feel so unwanted - blatantly and boldly so. So if you're POC or visibly queer, skip this place.

I drink unsweetened tea most of the time so I'm constantly waiting for a refill. The good ... the food is generally tasty. The Bad ... they are charging $32.00 for a 16oz ribeye. I know they use Mt Airy Meat locker for their beef. The steak was seasoned well but had a tiny sliver of a bone for what they called a bone in. Also .... The nickel and dining is ridiculous. You get one side. And they upcharge for mushrooms or onions. In comparison... Longhorn service a 20oz Ribeye with 2 sides and bread for $32.79 So I got the Ribeye and about 6 stalks of very tiny asparagus. I actually like the small asparagus but not 6 stalks??? As far as the steaks go ... don't give me the local meat BS or the cost for a small business. Side cost little ... salad and potatoes are cheap. We don't go to this place regularly because of this ... so we end up with a $72.00 bill (wife got a Cesar salad with shrimp) and seltzer water with a lime. Result ... have to make something to eat after we get home. After dropping nearly $90 after tip. My wife and I prefer to patronize local places but these owners are making it hard. I was going to order the chicken wings and a side salad .... But ...$24 for 12 half wings is beyond ridiculous. The wing shortage is over but many places are hanging on to the price increase ... I'd imagine because they think the customers are stupid. Out of curiosity... I shopped a pack of fresh wings at BJs wholesale club to see what wings are going for. The price for an 18 pack is around $8.00. And that would make 36 buffalo wings since you only get half. Disappointed... food that we did get was good ... but value is somewhere close to a zero!

This was our first time here, as on prior occasions we found the line too daunting. We were surprised when another 4:15pm patron was led to their reserved table, but we learned that their planning and caution was well-founded. We discovered the popularity of Bolder to be well-deserved. Seeking lite fare for an early dinner, calorie conscious, we both navigated the tempation-filled menu with success. We thoroughly enjoyed the bison burger and turkey club, the latter being sufficiently sample for a split lunch the next day too. Service was rock-solid and very efficient. We definitely hope to be back soon. And we will make a reservation. Dress code is casual.

It's a little bit off 70, but not bad. First off, this restaurant has an incredibly oversized parking lot. Maybe the restaurant has areas I didn't see, but I was a little bemused. Inside, it's decorated a bit like an old lady house with country accents. It's welcoming and nice, if a little old. I was seated and served quickly. My waitress was great. I ordered French onion soup and a bison burger with sweet potato fries. The French onion soup came out first. It had a huge layer of cheese on top, but it tasted like white cheddar. The soup itself was good at first but started getting bitter. I discovered a huge bay leaf in it. That explains that. Guys, leaving a bay leaf hidden in French onion soup is a violation of Article 35(2) of the Additional Protocol I to the Geneva Conventions. My sweet potato fries were seasoned with a chipotle cinnamon blend. It was weirdly sweet and clashed with the burger. I didn't care for it and honestly feel like if you're going to season with something weird, you should be abundantly clear. The burger was a disappointment. It was fairly basic. It was cooked right, but every so often I would get a burst of salt. I suspect the meat was salted and not well mixed. My burger, fries, and side of soup came to over $40. I am honestly being more critical of them because of that. At that price point, I expect REALLY good, not salt pockets, a left-in bay leaf, and weird seasonings.
