Personally, I go to Danda because I think she does a fantastic job, and I'm always happy with the end result--for both my hair and my beard. It's a great experience all around. My son and I have been using this studio for years, and it's a great place to see the difference between whatever you get at Fantastic Sam's versus what an actual hair studio can be when it comes to getting a hair and beard trim, especially as a male. I didn't realize the difference before, but now I do, and I'd never have it any other way. Also, hot towels. I love hot towels. They have hot towels--and yes, a lot of places have them--but the way Modern Man uses them makes the experience that much better. And unlike some other male-oriented salons, they don't do the awkward neck massage with a little vibrating massager that's supposed to make a difference. It doesn't. The only difference it makes is increasing the chance I'll never return to that place. Modern Man has the formula down. Every visit I leave happy and I'm confident you'll feel the same way--especially if you use Danda (but all the stylists I've had are great!)...but don't book her up too quickly, or I won't be able to get an appointment. This is the best barbershop I've been to. I've been to many and they actually listen to what you want instead of butchering your hair! I have had jimmy and Arthur cut my hair and they both do amazing job. The other guys there are also very talented. The products they use smell good, they take their time, they make conversation, the shop is WELL KEPT AND CLEAN. They also give you a shoulder massage at the end with a massager to make you feel good. I have nothing bad to say about this place. This is my official shop. And their hours are perfect for me. I usually get in around 7am when they open. And they are friendly and ready to go! Also. One key importance, is they are CONSISTENT! You will get the same treatment each time, as well as the same quality for a great price. read more

Been going here for a few years and have tried most of the barbers, Luigi I stayed with until I sat in Roberts chair nice fella but quite hence only the 4 stars but he is a great barber and excellent at what he does will be going to Robert from now on, seems he pays more attention to detail. No coupons or punch cards, either. A shave would have been extra. The guy was friendly (I spaced his name - older guy). No masking. He didn't wear one, and I couldn't because I was getting a haircut. Which is mostly in-line with the rest of the businesses in Gilbert. I will probably return here. He did a good job.
