The short story is that my vehicle was damaged during a winch out, I was blamed for the damage and…read morethe driver left saying "dont call us again" sure the winch out was free but the damage was appraised at $1000 Sure the wait was twice as long as I was told but it was a busy morning I'm sure. The guy was friendly at the beginning and got me moving using his roll back and the winch cable. When he attempted to drive me up on the road his tires spun so he inched his truck and my jeep back onto the road with his hydraulic stinger. When he got traction he asked me to put the vehicle in drive and steer behind him as he towed me the rest of the way onto the road. I followed his instructions and braked as soon as the cable slacked and well behind the roll back bed. Unfortunately he never retracted his stinger, since I could not see it, I hit hit. When I noted the damage he claimed it was my fault and requested that I pay for the tow... you can probably imagine the conversation after that. He called his boss, I guess the boss said something along the lines of "cut your losses and get out of there" so he did and I was left wondering if I should have called the sheriff. It was wrong of them to leave without accepting responsibility for the damage and it put me in a no win situation.

I dropped two cars off for North Carolina inspections so we could get them registered here. That went fine until I later found out an inspection was NOT needed for the first year. Ok, that was only $14 each, but it surprised me they didn't mention it or didn't know that was the rule in NC. Today I picked up a car after an oil change and new tires. They had again inspected the car and charged me the $14 fee. I hadn't asked for the inspection. It wasn't due. I am selling the car out of state, so didn't need it for the renewal. Weird. Minor irritation, but still. Strike two. When removing the wheels several lugs broke, they were proactive to find the parts and make the repair but never called to tell me about the new work and new expense. Communication is key, and they certainly need to work on that. A review of the invoice before paying would also be a nice touch to communicate what was done and then any discussion could take place then and not AFTER I get home and GET IRRITATED!

I dealt with this personally when they towed a white Crown Victoria. I was a licensed dealer, had the title and proper reassignment paperwork, and they still refused to release the car. That's either gross incompetence when it comes to dealer titles or a deliberate attempt to squeeze more money out of people. I should have reported this to DMV enforcement. Now they're doing the same thing to someone else. A friend of mine was in a serious accident, and they won't even allow his wife to access the truck to retrieve personal belongings. Even worse, they're refusing to release the vehicle to anyone other than the registered owner, claiming "only he can pay for it because that's the law." That is flat-out false. You've made an enemy out of me. Your business model appears to be taking advantage of people when they're at their lowest. Predatory, dishonest, and unethical. I hope you had fun offloading that blown up Crown Vic especially considering it was registered to the South Carolina Police in your eyes hahah.

Very competent, but really dropped the ball on customer service…read more A few years ago we arranged to drop our then only car off for routine maintenance and a look see. I told the woman in the office it was our only car and we would have to rent one, so could they do it in one day. I was assured no problem. Three days, two of which the car was sitting in the same spot. When I asked about it, the woman told me basically they had emergency repairs they had to do first. Emergency? That was our only car. Was someone go going to die without a car? Do they only have one mechanic? I was then told those cars belonged to "regular customers". ?? Something clearly, we were not. When we finally got it back, the work we wanted done was done. The look see resulted in a list of some pretty minor stuff, and things you just wouldn't bother fixing in such an old car because it would cost more than the car us worth. The bill was over 2X what we agreed upon, and, three days of a rental car. Have never been back
