Bad and COSTLY experience. Don't be fooled by the smiling faces and very "friendly" persona of the service writer. Every time I asked to see the service tech video of the the problem I was told the "system is down". I asked that the video be msg to my phone. They would not send it. Went in for oil change on my GMC Terrain. Was told there was a very slight drip from transmission and that it needed to be repaired before it got worse. Service writer said it is probably a seal. Even though I had never seen any evidence of fluid leaks on the floor of my garage where the car lives, I said fix it because I did not want to have an expense down the road. Service writer also said to get it done before the 3 year bumper to bumper ran out so the cost would be covered by the warranty. Sounds like it made sense. The "repair" was made. Unfortunately I noticed transmission fluid on my garage floor the very next day. Took the car back to Trent. Service writer said it may be a transmission case but this time they fixed an axle seal. The axle had NOT been leaking before they "fixed" the transmission "leak. Next day I again noticed new transmission fluid on my garage floor. Took the car back to Trent. Service writer said it was probably the transmission case warped. They worked on the car again. By this time I was completely unhappy with the Terrain and the dealership service center. I did research and saw that the terrain and other GM products had an ongoing problem with transmission leaks. I got the impression that the Terrain was not a reliable car for my wife to drive anymore. Decided that I needed to trade it in and by a more reliable vehicle for my wife to drive. This experience cost me thousands of dollars. I have a gut feeling that the service writer and dealer service center (because of their sloppy repair) screwed me royal. read more

When he finally came over he said 'did they tell you when you made your appointment we don't service white vehicles?' I said excuse me and then he said oh what are you here for? I told him and he said oh we wouldn't have time for that you should have made an appointment. On the 4th try Service picked up & to me was not happy to pick up the phone. He was borderline unprofessional. In fact he told me to hold on for a 5th time & transferred me back to the receptionist to make the appointment. So, who makes the appointments for service? Who ever it is. Screwed this one up. Got to Appointment check in went OK. WAS IN & out within an hour. Will say Trent's Machines do an outstanding job. They are the ones that should get the praise not service Dept. When I purchased my vehicle Hansel informed me the hood had to be painted. I still drove it home for a week and had no problems with the vehicle and returned it later to have the hood painted. They kept my car for 3-4 days. When I got the vehicle back I drove it a few days later to discover my seat memory settings and everything had been changed. My keychain was missing and something I had in the armrest was moved to the glove compartmenT. Now all types of alarms are doing off saying my vehicle needs service. then a week later my car won't start. I've only had this vehicle a little over a month and I'm already having issues. 0/10 do not recommend buying from here. You really sell me a car with a faulty battery or charging system!? I've never in my years of buying vehicles have had any issues with a car I've bought from a reputable dealership. I feel like I got this car from a buy here pay here. But they won't receive another dollar from me. You don't do people wrong. read more

I called and asked specific questions about a used vehicle they had advertised and was given false information. I was told the vehicle was not a smoker's car so I drove four hours to see it but as soon as I opened the door it reeked of smoke. The ashtray had obviously been used and there were cigarette burn marks in the carpet and fabric along the window. Make sure you VERIFY everything you are told by this dealership. read more

Contacted the dealership about interest in particular vehicle, was replied by Mylisa very quickly and she worked with me on getting an appointment setup, which was difficult for me this time of the year at my job. Met with Jimmie Lee, had the vehicle setup for me to test drive, went through all the features throughly. Did make clear to Mylisa and Jimmie, I like you look/test and then think about it later, which they both respected that. After test driving, Jimmie got my vehicle trade appraised for me and had the sales manager run some numbers for me. Sales numbers really was not that bad, little out of my price range, definitely needed to think on it, but thankfully no pressure from the dealership, which is how I like the process. I did eventually wanted to purchase the vehicle, unfortunately it did get sold before going up there, but I hold zero hard feelings against the dealership! They followed up with me each day by txt/email, which didn't mind, in fact they did try to come with even a little bit of better offer for my trade too. Everything was fine except for receiving a recommendation for a fuel system flush (at extra cost of course) and asking what the recommendation was based upon (i.e. were there any symptoms? Is it part of GM/Cadillac's normal maintenance recommendation), it became clear that there was no basis for making the recommendation. It was an obvious ploy to try to take advantage of someone who might not have been quite so gullible. GM/Cadillac clearly do not recommend and even "bust the myth" that fuel injection flushes are of any value. read more

I got a great deal on a Ram Truck 4wd here after looking for a Ram Truck for about a year. Was a little longer drive than I had planned on but the extra miles were well worth it. No high pressure sales tactics. Very nice, quiet showroom with very professional employees. Ron Polk was my salesman, he has been with dealership about 10 years. He was very knowledgeable about the truck and showed me how to work all the features on the truck. I test drove the truck on the first day I went, told them I wanted it but would have to come back the following morning to finalize everything since it was getting close to dark, I don't drive at night if anyway I can avoid it. When I arrived the next morning, I was shocked when Ron insisted that I test drive the truck again to make sure it was the vehicle that I wanted. What dealership does this? Well Trent does, this was truly unheard of at any other dealership I have ever been to. Ron worked hard to get me in that truck. When one finance option failed, he kept working on other options until he got me in that truck, they have 20 or more finance companies available I think. Outstanding customer service! We could not be happier with our purchase of a used vehicle from Trent Cadillac. Josh G was absolutely fantastic! I called ahead of time to ask about a vehicle they had advertised for sale. Considering New Bern is about 2.5 hours away from our home, I wanted to learn as much about it before we took the time to drive out there. Josh walked around the vehicle with me on the phone and told me all about the condition and even took some close up pics so I can evaluate and decide if I wanted to drive down to see it. The next day we drove down and met with Josh and viewed the car in person, with no surprises. They didn't hesitate to agree to fix some of the things we wanted fixed and Josh even offered to deliver the vehicle to Raleigh the following week, since we wouldn't be able to take it that day! It was our first time to the area so Josh gave us a little tour and recommended where to stay and eat, so we decided to stay over in a hotel and explore the downtown area that night. Everyone at the dealership was warm and friendly, including the finance man Bryan, and it sure was nice to meet the dealership owner when he came over and chatted with us about the vehicle. We've bought quite a few cars over the years in both big and small dealerships and we never once were greeted by the owner. OK, so here's the clincher - talk about phenomenal customer service, I left a personal item behind at the hotel and Josh went above and beyond and picked up the item for me on his way to meet us to deliver the vehicle!
