Never again. I used to love coming here as a kid but now that I'm older I realize this place sucks. Not only are they super pricey but they sells bootlegs. Tried to ask the guy for the price of a Death hoodie and he said $40. Mind you it was faded out and colors looked weird. Great place to get rock & roll apparel and many other knickknacks. It reminds me of many of the shops that used to be on Melrose Avenue. It also sells vintage toys and lunch boxes. I've been here a few times to buy stickers and rock shirts for my kids, and always found something cool. I noticed several reviewers mentioning rude service, but I never had any issues. Everyone I came across has been cool so far, and never got any attitude from them. Easy to find, although parking can be difficult near this area on weekends. I've been coming here for a long time, they're always stocked up on band tees, they have a whole wall full of various punk bands and artists merchandise. I'm a bit iffy about coming here since the same couple of employees that have been working there for ages always act like you're bothering them when you ask to look at stuff from the walls or from the cabinets since they keep all the accessories locked up. I was driving back from the San Gabriel Valley when I got a text from my ex-SIL asking if I was looking for a particular Funko. I was only 8 minutes away so I made a quick stop. The place has a decent selection of Funko Pop! and I even found the Diana Prince one for $17. I did not check the PP+G pricing but I'm sure it's fair. They sell the commons for $11, a bit higher than some places, but it's a small business store... they gotta make a living. Parking can be a pain. I ended up parking down the street near a tattoo place. They close late at 10 pm, which was the only reason I made it after coming from the mall. read more

A little overpriced, but a fun little spot. I didn't "discover" it as much as I walked past it on my way back to the car after my hair appt. I'm a dork and have a small, but specific, collection of pop funkos. This little shop was fun because they had all the HP funkos I hadn't been able to find elsewhere!! ...although I do regret spending $21 on the demogorgon funko after finding it online for $16. You win some, you lose some. Prices aside (& I totally understood the prices, not complaining), fun experience, cool store, nice and friendly employees, would return. I was looking for a place to find some cool punch patches and I ended up finding much more. Amazing atmosphere.

NEVER AGAIN!! I used to LOVE this place, it was the only local place I could rely on to find decent band shirts. However, my last visit was awful. First, I walked in and had a nearly finished drink. I understand the sign outside says "No food or drinks", but (1) I am a capable adult who can drink without spilling and (2) I can afford to buy whatever it is i might ruin in the rare event that I did spill! The guy asked me to leave my drink at the door, but I just tossed it because by the time I would be done shopping my drink would be too watered down. Secondly, while I was shopping, the guy (who I'm sure is the owner because he's been there forever), very obviously and annoyingly was following me around and watching me shop. I not only felt uncomfortable to shop, but he also made me feel like a twelve year-old who he thought was going to steal. Regardless of his intentions, this type of creepy stare down makes customers feel uncomfortable and rushed! It's too bad this happened because I will now be taking my loyal 10 year business I gave them SOME PLACE ELSE! read more

Shirts are expensive considering they are NOT licensed apparel, meaning the musicians get nothing out of the sales, unlike Hot Topic. That being said... Still a great shop! I mainly come here for Funko Pops! The guys here try to give every customer their attention but sometimes there is a lot of people, so waiting your turn can take some time. They have a variety of collectables which I love, and it's the only store in whittier that has more than 6 different pops, no offense to the other stores. When I notice a blemish on the Pop or box I ask if they have different ones in the back, they always check for me without complaining and bring me back a couple different ones so I can choose the best one. This place is definitely worth checking if you're in Uptown. read more

This happened a couple years ago but the experience has stuck with me so I thought I'd share it. I walked in to look at the glass pipes. Was in the little room for awhile and no one came to help. I thought "okay, I'll go ask for help." I asked an older, grumpy-looking Mexican man for help (I think it may have been the owner/manager, not sure) he walks over and his overall energy was just bleh. Like we were bothering him for asking to buy a pipe. Me and my friend pick one out and when we're paying at the cash register, I realize we didn't buy a screen. The particular pipe we were buying was one where you always need a metal screen , and of course the guy hadn't told us anything. I very calmly said "oh! we forgot to get a screen for our pipe!" The guy makes an annoyed face and says "that's over there! That means we need to walk all the way (literally only 10 ft away) over there again." He sighed and said "alright, lets go." He grumpily walked us over to the pipe section and started pulling out us glass again?? I say "um, I said I needed a screen." He looks at me like I'm stupid and says "we have those by the register." THEN WHY DIDN'T YOU GIVE ME ONE THERE? He pulls out screens from cabinet anyway and says "that all?" "Yes." He says "Are you sure?" sarcastically and then laughs at me. I couldn't believe what a blatant asshole this guy was. Like god forbid you have to walk 10 feet in your own store. I'm so sorry for inconveniencing you like that. You should've been thanking us for the exercise anyways. read more
