My babes have been going to Toothfairy since 2018 and it has been nothing but an amazing experience each time we go! My daughter had to get a tooth extracted when she was 4 dude to knocking it out and they made her feel so comfortable as well as making sure that I knew what they were doing and making sure I was comfortable with the process. To start out I'd like to preface this review that my rating is based solely on a botched filling job on one of my children. The dental hygienists have always been good, they are kind and do good work on cleanings for the kids. The receptionist at the front is always very kind and helpful too. If you were simply going in for a cleaning, you should be ok. This office offers good yearly cleanings at a reasonable price which was what drew us in initially. However, when my one of my daughters needed a filling, we set up an appointment, my daughter was very nervous, and when the dentist looked at the cavity, he said it was very small, and he could fill it without giving her the numbing shot. Dentist did the Filling, it seemed to go well, we were happy. However, my daughter's tooth still was bugging her a few weeks after so we took her back in. A different dentist at the same practiced found that the cavity had gotten larger and had not been filled properly. The dentist, I saw, did not want to say that the filling had not been done correctly so he offered to redo the filling at no cost to us since we had already paid for the first procedure. I appreciated that they stood behind their work and was happy it was being redone correctly however a little while later my daughter STILL was complaining about that same tooth hurting so we decided to go in for a second opinion. We went to a new dentist where we found that a massive cavity was underneath her filling that she had gotten done at tooth fairy. She was now at risk for a large and painful root canal because of how close to the blood supply the cavity was. We had the other dentist fix her tooth. The cavity was huge and it was costly and painful to get it fixed. I was shown pictures of tooth fairy's filling and the other dentists filling and it's safe to say there was no comparison. You can barely tell my daughter has a filling now, they took the time to make sure it was done right, it looks nice and apparently feels wonderful especially after months of pain. Tooth fairy's filling looked like they took some white chewed up gum and popped it on her tooth Since the last procedure at another office, my daughters tooth has been pain-free. Because of the what I feel was work that was poorly done at tooth fairy, She had to go through months of pain and we've had to pay for it numerous times instead of just being done right the first time! I've been in contact with tooth fairy, but I've gotten no response. Because of this experience I would not go back to the office and I would not recommend anyone else doing so for any kind of procedures. I sincerely don't like leaving bad reviews, but this was just not a good experience for my family, and I thought others should be aware. read more

I must've wrote down the wrong time for my daughters appt, which I never do, so you can imagine my immediate sense of being upset. I thought we were 15 min early - come to find out the office lady said we were hours late. Despite my failure, the office lady ran to the back to see if they can squeeze my daughter in. Sure enough we got in! We waiting all of 1 minute, the dental assistant was charismatic and comforting - my 3 year old trusted her and let her clean her teeth! (Unheard of!) Then the dentist came in, and he was thorough and again comforting. My daughter loved the whole experience. Especially being able to pick out stickers and toys at the end. So I really loved this place when it opened. We were the very first clients in their books when they very first opened and were still remodeling. We've been coming every 6 months since my son was 18 months. Today was the last time. We had confirmed 815 am appointments for this morning and which I confirmed through text from their office, and the office opened at 8 am. We arrived promptly at 807 am with two of our toddlers to find that the office was dark and the door was locked. We waited thinking maybe someone was running late, understandably it happens. We waited until 830, and still no one showed up. Me and and my husband took our kids to Trader Joe's in the meantime which was right next door. After shopping, we decided to walk past the office to see if anyone was there, it was 9 am. We could see people at the front desk so we walked in and informed the receptionist they we had 815 appointments for both our children. She replied and said "no, we don't have a doctor in the office today" i informed her that I received a confirmation text two days ago stating that I had to confirm or I'd loose my appointment, and showed her the text from my phone. She didn't seem very apologetic, that we had to get our kids up early and then to have no appointment AT ALL! I know mistakes happen, but this a big one and very unprofessional. The only solution that she could come up with is that we could make the drive to Gardnerville to take our kids to the office there for the certain day that we wanted, which are Wednesday mornings, because my husband and I both work. I'm very disappointed. Unfortunately, We will not be coming back. read more

We needed to find a new dentist after our last dentist stop taking our insurance.. :/ I absolutely dread going to the doctors/dentists any place where I have an appointment. Typically you get there a little bit early and end up waiting for at least 15 minutes to be seen. Not the case here.. I got to the office about 20 minutes early to start the paperwork.. I had an appointment for all 3 of my girls at basically the same times-3:30 & 4:00. I was dreading having to wait in the waiting room with a squirmy toddler, and 2 little girls who get bored quickly.. However as soon as we walked in they got me started on paperwork, and before I even had a chance to fill out one of my girls' papers- they were taking my girls back to get started! WHAT?! that is unheard of.??! They got one setup for x-rays, and the other started on cleaning.. I got to hold my toddler while Dr. Salar checked her teeth as well.. We were out of there by 4:15! My oldest even had her molars sealed .. The staff were absolutely amazing and great with my crazy crew.. The girls were so nice and patient, and the doctor was up beat and happy. Went on a year break from Toothfairy's office so I could bring the whole family to just one dentist (adult and pediatric) but this year just realized I needed Dr. Ben Salar's expertise again. Nice that they they follow up and call for your appointments and just the right time he spends and talks to the patient, not feeling rushed. read more

I've brought my daughter in the for her first 2 appointments and the staff is always super nice and welcoming. Since I've been in since covid has happened they follow all necessary guidelines. My daughter is usually pretty shy but she felt comfortable here. She was telling everyone how she went to the dentist and showed off her smile. I definitely recommend this place. read more

Tooth Fairy Pediatric Dental at the Reno site was amazing !! I took my 2 year old and my 3 year old to establish and conduct a cleaning . Mind you they have never been to the dentist before, the staff was amazing they were able to doing x-rays and cleaning. Was in shock of how perfect the appointment went . Dr. Jensen and his staff were fantastic with my 3 and 4 year old children. They were so patient with my daughter who did not want to participate when we first arrived. My son is almost 2 years old and this was his first time coming to this dentist. The dentist did great with my son, explained everything to me before and as he was doing it. His assistant was great as well, right after his fluoride treatment she showed him the prized and even though he is only supposed to grab one she let him take a few more to cheer him up. The wait time wasn't long at all! Overall this was an amazing experience for pediatric dentistry, I look forward to bringing my son every 6 months as suggested. read more

As far as first experiences at the dentist, we couldn't have wished for a better one than at Toothfairy. From the moment we arrived the staff were wonderful, putting our daughter at ease and making her laugh. Birdie left the dentist saying she LOVED it and you can't ask for more than that! I believe Dr. Jensen was professional, courteous and well educated in his field. I've no doubt that his diagnosis was accurate. Clean and sufficiently equipped with somewhat modern technology. Staff was amazing and very nice. I had a basic check up and a cleaning. The cleaning was a huge disappointment and is why they score 3 stars. They do not use professional Dental Hygienist services so they basically give you a tooth shine and a couple tarter scrapes here and there. I am used to a more aggressive and through cleaning. So I wouldn't recommend that service if you are expecting a tooth by tooth, more thorough cleaning. They do not use barriers or anything for privacy. More like something you would see in Asia. The patient next to me had to move his legs so I could leave the room. Not cool. This is a quick in and out experience so for pediatrics I'm sure it's a dream come true. Not sure why my insurance recommended them for me unless it was proximity. Overall, not bad, just not the dental group for me. read more
