Jim said that he had a reconditioned wood stove that was still under warranty and he could do a full install that would meet all requirements and sell us a mantle for the new stove. We were completely happy with his price, bought the stove, sight unseen, where going to buy a mantle from him. We built a new hearth, had the fireplace cleaned, scheduled his inspection visit and we gave him a 50% deposit on the spot. He scheduled one install day and then had to reschedule. We confirmed the new date and checked in to confirm it again as it got closer (because we are facing November now and had already had one date go bad). He seemed like a nice enough guy when he came for the inspection and we were really excited about the stove. Out of the blue we get a check for a full refund of the stove with no explanation whatsoever. We call/email and ask why and get a message that my partner is a 'details guy' and so Jim doesn't think we'd be a 'good fit.' WHAT?!? If by "details guy" he means - we pay for a service, on time, as requested, and so we like to know that we are going to receive the service as promised - then, yes, he is a 'details guy'. When did this become a bad thing? We didn't hold back payment, we didn't demand to see the stove in person before we bought it, he is the one who replied to our query on CL - and then he rejects our business with a thoroughly questionable excuse? Can't recommend anyone do business with this Great Bear Renewable Energy. Now we are facing November, no wood stove and no chance of getting a good price on one until next summer when the winter season is over. Thanks for nothing.

We were looking to have some electrical work done and contacted several places to get quotes and a…read moretime frame. Of the 3 that we contacted only 2 returned our calls. Scott was one of them and gave us a time frame of about 3 weeks which we thought was pretty good especially since the other company couldn't get to us for over a month. We were looking to have a few semi-flush mounted light fixtures, a ceiling fan and chandelier above the stairs replaced, and an outlet added so that we could move our TV above the fireplace. Scott was very professional and worked quickly. I was both pleased and surprised that he even changed his shoes before coming in the house and swept up after himself. I was also very thankful that he was able to fix an incorrectly installed ceiling fan that could have come down at any time (our baby is obsessed sitting under and watching our ceiling fan when it is on). He is priced fairly, does great work in a timely manner, and cleans up after himself. What more can you ask for? I would not hesitate to recommend his services and I will definitely be contacting him for future projects.

Home Depot does not care about the environment or the people and company they messed up.Home Depot…read moresent a delivery to one of our customers houses,they broke a mofit destroyed 3 different properties,spilled hydrolic fluid all over farm land,. We filed a claim with them (insurance is Sedgwick claim number 20251011935) they passed it off to rxo who fwd to another insurance,come to find out the delivery was sub contracted out to a deliver company out of Florida that did not have proper insurance coverage for the clean up (months later still not done) only thing that was paid for was a couple of mail box's, us the contractor was not paid for the time forced there or the down time because order got reloaded on the truck for no apparent reason.Home depot and Sedgwick did not help the customers or contractors passed the blame around left a epa nightmare ,did not make sure they where properly insured and has refused to make this right.Home depot has not stood behind what has happened,has not made it right,me as a contractor should not have to fight because of there screw up the right thing would be take care of it and for them to fight with there subcontractors....you destroyed properties,damaged land,spilt fluids into the ground,destroyed properties,hit a electric pole,caused a contractor to loose a lot of money and down time and did nothing to rectify the problem.You did not follow the letter of nh law,you did not file the proper paperwork for the spillage caused by you with the epa within the allowable time frame and you did not reimburse our Financial loss. so now I have to look back on all the times we've been purchasing from Home Depot, and say that a company that would willingly not clean up and environmental hazard that they caused, and does not stand by their contractors who are purchasing from them to do jobs,I must say time to go elsewhere.I included some pictures.3 different property where damaged in the process.notice the link they sent at the bottom...does not fix anything....emailed the ceo no response....i gues Home Depot does not care about the environment and contractors that buy off them.These are just some of the pictures.hd will most likely provide a link that does not help,there insurance does not hold up there end of the barging and likes to pass the buck ,lack of insurance by trucking company and still employed at hd.they did not do right and did not do anything other then finally pay for some mailboxes....is this a company you are willing to support?
