We've been charged for termite control bait trap service for a few years. I recently went to look at the traps and was shocked to discover that only one MONITORING station was present and clearly had not been examined for a very long tome. We now have severe termite damage. I've now hired Orkin, accompanying their tech of their inspection and are now on a contract . I feel I can trust them. We were also getting charged $250 a visit for roach extermination and I discovered that the "technician" was just putting a few little dabs of Avion Syngenta gel (you can get a pack of four tubes for about about $35 on Amazon) into the hinges of cabinet doors. Now I do that myself every month and have things well under control at a fraction of the cost. I would never use Top Hat again. read more

I found this insane Hornets nest on the side of my house and I was totally freaked out. I called Top Hat to get rid of it. They came the same day sprayed it with some stuff but it was so tremendous they came back the next day and that did the trick. After 3 days they returned to remove the dead nest. What really impressed me was the follow-up of the owner. He called to make sure it was completely gone and that it was safe to spray it with the hose to remove any remnants of the nest. With regards to contacting my super for your info, it was not for Top Hat specifically. Myself and other neighbors were experiencing issues with mice, and they provided us with your information. It was not by tenants' choice that your business was offered. After your initial unsatisfactory visit, a super visited my unit and agreed that many entry points had not been blocked by Top Hat when they should have. If they would have offered another business, we obviously would have chosen them given the history of Top Hat visits. -------------- Unreliable, unprofessional, and unworthy of your business. I had 2 appointments set up with them and they didn't show up to either of them. Both times I called the morning of to confirm ("yes, John will be there"). Both times the time slot comes and goes without anyone showing up. No calls, no buzzes at the apartment, nothing. Both times I call at the end of the time slot saying no one came. They would take down my information saying someone would call me right back. Surprise, I never did get that call back. Perhaps the worst is that they had the audacity to call me back a week or so after no showing, claiming that I was the one who wasn't available. I offered to send screenshots of my call log showing no one ever did call me (despite them saying they were calling me and I never answered). Of course they didn't want to see that, because it would prove how unprofessional and unreliable they are. Don't even waste your time with this bunch. read more

Called them to get rid of a hive. The office staff was nice and efficient, gave me an appointment for two days away. The exterminator was prompt and explained what would happen, returned later to remove the hive. Their fee was reasonable. Would definitely use them again. read more

Excellent, honest and fast service! Top Hat helped us to remove bees nesting inside our house walls. The company owner, Richie, called me within 10 minutes of me leaving a message on the company's voicemail. He personally came to our house to deal with the problem, explained the process very well and followed up by phone a few times after his visit to ensure the problem was eliminated. Dont remember the names of the women answering the phones but each was so sympathetic and understanding, promised service at specific dates and times and the were right there as promised. The first visit was from Louie and he was excellent, not only answering all my questions but put the whole bug problem into perspective and helped me get out of the panic mode I was in. Follow up visit was John who had been in my home before to help my daughter with a problem. He was also kind and reassuring but most importantly both of these gentlemen were so positive, reassuring me over and over that no problem cannot be fixed.
