Dana arrived in a beautiful, extremely clean mobile grooming vehicle, and from the moment she greeted my dogs, I knew they were in good hands. She worked absolute magic on my Bohemian Shepherd, Gabbie, who had some matting. Dana not only removed the mats gently and expertly, but she made Gabbie look stunning. She also groomed our Frenchie, Molly, who came out happy, soft, and picture-perfect. Both dogs walked back into the house smiling and relaxed, which tells you everything about her approach and her skill. Found Top Hat n Tails on yelp when I was looking through different groomers in our area, I didn't want to take Romeo to tradition groomers anymore due to the service lasting 4-5 hours long, and I started to sense he was turning more nervous each time we went. Romeo was done in an hour 30 and he looked perfect, bow tie to top it off. Highly recommend if you want an stress-free experience for you and your dog!

Writing this as my second dog is seeing Dana. I cannot put into words how happy I am to have found Top Hat N Tails!! I have a dog reactive GSD and have tried so many different ways of grooming her - myself during quiet hours at our local self groom, every single groomer in camarillo at 7 AM to avoid other dogs (that inevitably she would still be exposed to), grooming in my shower (okay admittedly this avoided dogs, but OMG THE CLEAN UP!!). Then came Dana - a fairy godmother for dog grooming. My GSD not only looks and smells amazing but came out from her bath not traumatized or on edge. I have a little dog who is very fearful and have had some trouble getting her groomed. Dana pulled up in her self contained grooming salon. She did a fantastic job grooming Flower and getting her nails clipped and filed. And Flower didn't need to leave the house. My dog is small, but Dana specializes in larger dogs so give her a call! highly recommend Dana and Top Hat N Tails. read more

If you need a dog groomer to come to your home, I very highly recommend, Top Hat N Tails Grooming. We have a 6 yr old lab mix rescue. She can not be groomed anywhere because she hates being caged and she is ski-dish of strangers. Dana came to my home and did one meet and greet with her. My dog Shy loved her. She went in her van for grooming and blow drying with no fear. She came out smelling like a rose ! The price is very reasonable for the convince and professional work with the dogs. read more

We've been looking for a groomer who accepts large dogs like our Akita. Dana arrived in a timely manner and went right to work making our Machi feel comfortable in the Top Hat n Tails state-of-the-art groomers van. Machi came out looking and smelling fabulous. Awesome experience! I contacted Dana after seeing her grooming mobile while driving to work and I'm so glad that I did. Dana's response to my inquiry was done within the same day. She was able to book my Maltese for services to be done within a weeks time and on a weekend, which is ideal due to my work schedule. Previously, during my search for a mobile groomer, many were either not accepting new clients, I wouldn't get a response, didn't service my area (Port Hueneme), booked for months out, or unable to accommodate around my work schedule. My dog looked and smelled great after his grooming appointment with Dana; from beginning to end the experience was courteous and professional. Just had my 10 yr old, 125 lb great pyranees/husky mix groomed by Dana. She did a fantastic job. My girl has a hard time jumping into the car now because of arthritis, she's aloof by nature, and has a long double coat. When Dana brought her to the door, she had a big grin on her face, she looks six inches narrower, and her fur is soft and silky. She was even able to trim her nails (which she hates). Already set up an appointment for our golden and the next grooming appointment for both. Give her a try. I don't think you'll be disappointed. read more

Not sure what's going on, but there was far more empty space on the display racks than there was product. If I had actually needed something, it would not even have been worth going in. Additionally, the entire time I browsed the store, neither of the two workers behind the counter bothered to ask if they could help me. They only said "hi" in response to my first saying hello.

During that time have been dog mom to six dogs, four of which have visited the store with me. We drive up from the valley several times a year. Upon our most recent visit a gentleman decided to tell me all about my dog, her teeth, and what she can and cannot eat. She's been eating WB treats for her entire 14 years of life. If we are on a trip up there without her, we bring some back to her and her sister. If she is with us, she gets to pick. This day she wasn't interested in any of the handheld offerings, so he continued telling me about her teeth. The cold, hard truth is - my dog reads me. That's her deal. She knew I didn't like him, so she didn't like him, so she didn't want any of his selections. We wound up spending like $5, against his better advice, which is far less than we usually spend. Hell, we bought our first dog stroller there many moons ago - back before they were a common thing. I was really unimpressed this visit and will think twice before going in again. The previous owner was extremely personable, polite and displayed gratitude for her customers. We never had any issues until the second owner took over. At first, she was great, very bland personality but did a good job so we continued to patronize her business. About 9 months ago I was on my way to take my dog to get groomed and he had started to develop symptoms similar to he ate something bad or was ill. He began excessively vomiting and seemed very lethargic. He had not ever experienced anything like this before and it was so sudden so I became concerned took him to the vet and they told me he needs to rest and lots of fluids so I had to cancel my appointment. Of course, I missed the appointment as I was at the vet, it was the first time I have ever missed an appointment. The vet said he needed rest and didn't think it would be wise to take him in case he had the flu. So I called the owner apologizing profusely and she was not understanding she did not care about the well-being Of my animal. I did not want to risk getting any other pets sick! You'd think she would appreciate me not wanting to possibly get other dogs sick. Fast forward to this incident I had an appointment scheduled for February 18th at 9 am written both on my paper calendar and my phone calendar. I walk in and she abrasively says your appointment yesterday and I apologized and said there must have been a misunderstanding because I wrote it down on two calendars. *** SIDE NOTE***this same incident has happened to SEVERAL customers according to her yelp reviews and googles reviews so I am NOT the only customer this has happened to as she claimed I was the only one ) *** She goes into saying all these unprofessional and abrasive things and begins to make comments about my life how I need to manage my and priorities differently. Mind you, I run several businesses and a family so that was not relevant obviously she felt the need to pick apart someone to make herself feel better. I understand how challenging it can be to run an independent small business however it's all about being professional, having grace, post your rules and regulations in case of a missed appointment as salons and other groomers so. She obviously seems to have deeper issues and I believe that is a reason why she hashed out so incredibly volatile. I will never bring my business to doggie delight and all the other customers who I referred years ago to get their pets groomed as a result of my experience will take their business elsewhere.

I have known about four other people who she did this too that no longer go to her. I would give her zero stars if it were possible.

I've given my dog bone marrow treats and was wondering if it was still okay to give him one once in a while or if they might cause tooth damage. I asked about the anal glands and was told they were okay. Not sure what that meant, I was looking for a right/left empty/full answer. In the past I've been shown the dental x-rays along with before and after pictures of my dog's mouth. None of these were unavailable. Blood was left on my dog's arm that should have been cleaned off. Being a retired RVT and the amount of money I've spent on veterinary care I expected much better treatment from PAH and answers to my questions. It might be time to find a new Veterinary Practice.

Once with a cherised companion whose…read moremass had to be removed and proved to be BENIGN, after they had performed surgery in another part of her body a few years ago for a different type of cancer. Last week I took one half of a bonded pair of elder Brussel Griffons in and he proved to have serious complications from bad teeth and was not a good surgery candidate. He suddenly passed away in my arms two days after that appointment. I am so glad the vet found what was wrong beforehand and I wasn't blindsided by his death. Today I called for his brother who had suddenly stopped eating and was lethargic and was given an appointment within TWENTY MINUTES. The poor little furry dustmop was dead when the tech tried to take him from the carrier. I can not say enough good things about the care myself and my dogs have received from Mile Hi. Although I wish there had been more years with the little guys, they are buried under the same tree and will have eternity together gamboling through the meadows. Every member of Mile Hi has been caring and wonderful for every visit I've had with them - good outcome or not so good outcome. And they have been easy on my wallet. I have used three other vet services in my 15+ years here in Prescott, and Mile Hi is the best by far.

AVOID THIS VET AT ALL COSTS…read more This veterinarian drew out supposedly "lifesaving" services for our dog for a full week. Days and days of being told to bring our dog in to the vet so they could administer supposedly lifesaving procedures. When there was no improvement after a full week of this, we took our dog to a different vet. This other vet immediately informed us that our dog had been in full kidney failure for probably the entire week and there was nothing more to be done. On top of that, our dog's pain and suffering had been prolonged for NO reason. When I asked the receptionist about this and whether they would be willing to settle with us on the over $1,000 bill, given the firm second opinion and the clear cut nature of what they had done (charged us, essentially, to prolong our dog's suffering, instead of being honest and transparent), I was met with rudeness and a real lack of compassion. I was told that because we did not "check in" every day (which is NOT TRUE-- I was on the phone with these people at least once a day while our dog was being treated) and because they "used their resources" there was nothing she/they could do. More like, there was nothing they were willing to do. There was ZERO kindness or understanding shown. This is an absolutely terrible way to do business, especially in a small town. I take my pets' health and well-being VERY seriously, which Is why this is so offensive. I have since shared this story with friends and have heard other horror stories regarding this vet which completely validated my experience. AVOID this vet -- go to Mile High (or anyone else who is conscientious!!!) instead. This veterinarian takes advantage of people who are willing to go to any length to save a beloved family member.

Dana did a great job with our Labrador Retriever. She took the time that was needed for our dog to get acquainted and feel comfortable with her before beginning the grooming. She was able to park her van in our driveway and complete all services without the chaos and confusion of other dogs around. This has been a problem for us with other groomers that we have used in the past. On-site mobile grooming is more convenient, faster, and we have a much calmer dog after grooming. Dana did a good job on our mini goldendoodle girl, Maisie, in Chino Valley. She was timely, friendly, and her prices are fair. Maisie acted traumatized after her last experience with a mobile groomer, but she was a happy girl after being groomed by Dana. That says A LOT!
