Rude, aggressive, incompetent and unorganized. Dropped off my dog first thing in the morning. The dirty place was empty except for Al the owner. He took my dog and said that he would start on her right away. 2 and a half hour later I went to the shop. She was in a pen with 8 other dogs, all barking and stressed out. My little girl was afraid and away from the rest of the other dogs. Al yelled out loudly and said 45 more minutes. I asked him for my dog and said I would be back with her when he was ready to complete the grooming. He aggressively picked her up and shoved her at me and said go away and don't come back. They take on more than they can handle. Seems he and the staff are having a hard time handling the stress. read more

I told the young man my dog didn't like his nails trimmed with a dremmel tool but, he insisted. My dog was crying and screaming. I finally told him to stop and use clippers. The experience was traumatic for my dog and me. I will never take my dog back. They don't listen to owners and they tramatise dogs. Today, because of a Calendar mix-up with another Groomer in town, we needed to get our Maltese-Poodle groomed and the Nails done on our other dog before traveling out of state. Just got my Golden Retriever back from Al's. Took her and my Grand-puppy. I was referred there by my daughter who takes her Golden there. First, the staff is very friendly and asked lots of questions about what we wanted from the groomer. Then Al came in - very vivacious, positive person! When we picked them up, Al offered them "cookies" and me a soda. He even assisted in taking them out to my car. Both dogs were well trimmed and very soft! And had Halloween bandannas on them!! When I took my dog in today to get groomed I thought it was for a cut. When I went to get her all she had done was a wash and brush. I could have done that at home. When I called to find out why was told she was set up for just a wash and brush. Then was told it would be about 40 dollars or so more to get her cut. And that would be about two more weeks. My husband calls to cancel the next appointment. The lady on the phone did not offer any kind of resolution. read more

Being new to town we had no clue where to take our dogs to get groomed. We considered taking them to one of the box stores down the highway but preferred to stay close to home and support local business. We dropped our dogs off with their "covid" look. We took our dog their many times w/o any problems. However I did notice he limped on his right back leg when he returned from Al's. The same ting happened the next time we took him there. So my wife had a reservation for grooming and while there just mentioned this to Al so he might be careful. He immediately got super paranoid that we would sue him and refused to groom our dog upsetting my wife. All he had to say was OK. His overly defensive reaction sounds very suspicious unless there was a reason. Our dog is an older Springer Spaniel and never has been aggressive in his life. Thankfully there are dog groomers who care and we can take him to another recommended groomer. read more

I had an appointment. Called to confirm and the place was in utter chaos. Apparently someone had quit and it threw the place into hysteria. Left my number to be called back and never heard from them. Called again and was told they couldn't find my appointment and were booked until August. I called June 1. They need to get themselves together so they can take care of their customers. If they are so mixed up and disorganized, I'm afraid my dog will be traumatized and never want to go to a groomer again. read more

These guys are great! Everyone there is super friendly and they welcome you the minute you walk in. Our dogs always look and smell wonderful after their grooming and Al and his staff will always adorn them with either a bandana for the season (Halloween, Valentines Day, etc) or with a cute bow on their collars. Sometimes even both! One of our dogs is older and doesn't like to stand for long periods of time. They were able to get him groomed, within an hour, while my husband waited. After two excellent sessions with my elderly Himalayan cat, I took my two Mini-Aussies to Al's , in dire need of baths and grooming. They bathed, clipped, de-matted, trimmed nails, the works. When I arrived to pick them up, both girls were sitting relaxed in a wire crate, calmly waiting for me. The price for both dogs was less than $60.
