During my first inquiry phone call I spoke to a knowledgeable local representative who made product recommendation's, addressed all of my questions and followed up with an estimate of my rental. Once the booking was confirmed I received correspondence confirming the date and time. The day of the event the 56 foot obstacle course was set up at the arrival time and they arrived at the scheduled pick up time. The team handled the entire set up and take down activities. There was no question that I'd even need to shop around for a better deal or experience. Mike was top notch professional, knowledgeable, and accommodating. On the big day, he quickly set up the equipment, played an additional memory slideshow and music, and made a bunch of our neighborhood kiddos weeks with his popcorn machine. The sound quality and screen quality was perfect, even as a Christopher Nolan film usually demands an IMAX. We connected with Michael about hosting a movie night for our volunteers and staff at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts, and he immediately responded to our request and scheduled a time for a site visit. From our first interaction, he was friendly, genuine, on time, and communicative without fail. He has immense knowledge about his industry & equipment and has an impressive arsenal of processes in place so that his team is ready for anything. We had to postpone our first date due to weather, and Michael was in communication with us the whole time we were working to reschedule. We even had a hiccup with our planned site the night of our rescheduled event, and he and his team pivoted their entire set-up process like it was nothing. As a person in the events industry, I cannot say enough about their unwaveringly calm demeanor and creative problem solving. The night of the event, they arrived with plenty of time to set up the screen, sound system, lights, and popcorn machine. Everything was set up on time and looked organized. The screen was bright and displayed the picture beautifully, and the sound system was top notch. Michael and his team worked tirelessly to make our event seamless so that our staff could enjoy the event as well, and they thought of every little thing. I called these people to rent a tent in an emergency situation when my niece's outdoor wedding was…read moreat risk of getting rained out. I'll give them kudo's for responding immediately and being extremely helpful and friendly during my initial call. I made arrangements to rent a large tent, was quoted the cost and received a confirmation email. Fast forward to the following day when my sister, Mother of the Bride, called to confirm set up date and time. She was told the "tent" had no sides and if she wanted sides, there would be an additional hefty charge. (Ok, I rented a TENT, which has sides, not a CANOPY which has no sides!) Being a situation where she had no options, she agreed to the addition, hefty charge. (Mind you, I was quoted the price shown on the website with an additional charge per panel for the sides. Now they've added on to that stating the original quote for a tent, not a canopy, did not include sides.) Arrangements were made via phone call between MOTB and personnel at KC Party for set up time and date. They called her back the night before the wedding---during rehearsal, no less-- asking her if she REEEEALLY wanted the tent or would she rather just cancel since the forecast had changed. She told them no, I reeeeally want the tent. They told her they didn't have anyone to set the tent up as early as it was needed and it couldn't be set up til late afternoon. She reminded them the ceremony began at 5pm, so to allow for decorating, table set up, etc. the tent had to be there earlier. They went on to inform her there were only three sides available and blah blah blah, so she agreed, "Ok, let's just cancel it" rather than sit there during rehearsal begging them to follow thru with the tent set up. THEN they informed her that they would only be refunding part of her money since she canceled. (SHE canceled, when they are the ones who called HER asking her if she really needed the tent, which they didn't have available, anyway since they had only 2 sides and we did not rent a freaking CANOPY!) Ultimately, the brides uncle negotiated with them and they refunded all but 75.00, however it should have been a 100 percent, full refund. The stress they caused the bride and Mother of the Bride was certainly worth that much. I would not recommend this company to anyone, ever.
