I'd advise taking care with fish- they use RO water, so drip acclimation will be necessary if you're on KC tap water. The Pygmy's cories I got from them were healthy, but they needed a slow acclimation to be put into my quarantine. They're now in the display. They're knowledgeable about their fish and plants (I'd assume salt water as well, but I don't have a saltwater tank, so I can't say one way or the other). The plants I've purchased from them have been great, except for one buce brownie tissue culture that melted and hasn't come back, but apparently my tank doesn't like buce, because I've tired multiple times, and buce melts and never come back, so I don't fault them for that. Their plants are nearly always in good shape and happy. I did buy some downoi that was super leggy, and so I trimmed it to use only the best of it. It's there, in the tank, and I'm watching to see what it does. But the tissue culture of the downoi I got from them really took off, and is propagating just fine. Their cost is in line with online sellers when you factor in shipping. I'll continue to use them. I've been pleased with the knowledge of the employees and their locality.

The owner is very nice and welcoming and she is updating and always rotating items for it to remain fresh for clients. They also have new and cheaper monthly fee which is a great deal. It is a nice atmosphere but they do need to remember to keep the music playlist playing as it is nice to relax to. The only reason I gave this location a 4 was because when I first entered the play area it was a complete disaster. There were only 2 parents at the time but they never picked up after their kids and it was hard to find matching toy items as they were everywhere. This is not typical of the Merriam location so it's probably just an issue today. They might want to suggest to parents to pick up after their child once they leave a specific area. I ended up picking the place up because the parents left and then it was more obvious to my grandson and other kids that came what toys there were available in each area.

My biggest issue with the last time I came here a year ago (also for a kid's party) was that the person working the party in general did not seem like they liked children at all, and was not kind or helpful. This time, however, things could not have been more different. The woman working was so great with the girls, spoke to them at their level, helped them when they needed it, and was honestly a joy to have lead the class. Totally changed my perception of what a birthday party here can be like, and made me more excited to come back someday. At BRKTHROUGH, you compete in challenge rooms (there are 40 of them, although a couple were unavailable during our visit) - they last a minute or longer, and are categorized as Physical (requiring speed, agility, coordination, etc), Mental (brainpower, trivia, memory, and puzzle-solving), or Skill (precision, dexterity, patience). The descriptors above came from the BRKTHROUGH website, but I can confirm that they are descriptive of the challenges. The room type/difficulty is shown on a triangle, so they are often a combination of two items (for example, mostly physical with some skill-based components). Every room is scored based on your completion (or lack, thereof) out of 100 points. You can redo rooms as often as you like, keeping the highest score. Your team has an RFID wristband to enter the rooms. Your goal is to earn as many points as you can during the time period you paid for (we did 2 hours). Not only do you try to get your best score, there is a leaderboard to show how you are doing against the other teams in the building. You can earn a prize if you obtain a certain minimum score, or win against the other groups. Other than the boys arguing over strategies, we had a good time. Even with young kids, we were able to complete a lot of the rooms. There are plenty of rooms that could be completed by those with physical limitations, but obviously not all of them. We had a good time and the time flew by. There is also a bar and restaurant and a few games to play after your time is up. There are a handful of rooms each time that seem to malfunction. Other than that, it's a delightful place to pour yourself a drink or 3 and spend a few hours trying to escape their mini puzzle rooms.
