Patty was very pleasant to talk to and I felt she took her time on my manicure.

I called ahead to check to see if they could get my daughters and I in on a Saturday. They said "sure! Come on in!" When we got here the owner recognized us from my call and was so sweet and welcoming. My girls just wanted gel manicures, but I wanted a pedicure. They have several to choose from, and I went with the hydrate and moisture pedi. She sold me on it when she said it came with hot stone massage. After picking my color I sat in one of their amazing massage chairs. Loved all the settings. But of course the best was the amazing leg massage with the hot stones! Get it! The salon is very clean and relaxing. Charming decor. Overall cozy feel. (I can't stand loud noisy nail salons) The technician who did my pedicure was excellent. She was very detailed and made sure I was enjoying and relaxing. The location is easy to get into. Plenty of parking.

The application of the acrylic was horrible but I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt by letting her finish. I asked her to put a light pink polish on the nail to cover the imperfections and give me a French tip. She couldn't even do that. When I tell her I didn't like them and to take them off she grabbed the owner who clearly couldn't see that her tech did an awful job. The owners excuse was I asked for too many layers of nail polish. (2 layers) as the polish was on the lighter side. I still got charged $40 for a terrible fill and had to go somewhere else to get them fixed. Luckily the owner of that salon took care of me and immediately saw how horrible the application was. I would not recommend this salon to anyone.

I've stayed quiet before, but not this time. I went to K…read moreNails for a basic gel pedicure and a fill-in and somehow ended up paying $106. Before anyone says, "Well, that's normal," let me be very clear: I asked questions. When the nail tech asked if I wanted my nails cut, I specifically asked if there would be an extra charge. She told me no. So imagine my surprise when I get the bill and it's somehow over a hundred dollars. When I asked where all these charges came from, that's when the confusion started. One tech started talking to the other, and suddenly I'm being told I was charged for "going around my nails," cutting my nails, and other things that were never explained beforehand. I still don't know what "going around my nails" is supposed to mean, and quite frankly, neither explanation made any sense. It felt like they were scrambling to justify a bill that should never have been that high in the first place. What makes this sting even more is that I've been coming here for years. This isn't some random salon I tried once. My son and I used to come here together whenever he was home from college. They knew us. After my son was murdered, they acted like they cared. They offered sympathy. They know this isn't something I "went through" and got over--it's something I have to live with every single day for the rest of my life. They know how profoundly that loss changed my life, and they know I'm on disability because of it. That's why this experience hit differently. You expect this kind of treatment from a place that doesn't know you. You don't expect it from people who have looked you in the face for years, know your story, and then have no problem handing you a bill full of questionable charges that were never discussed until after the money was already gone. And let's be honest about the service itself: it wasn't worth $106. Not even close. Everything felt rushed. There was nothing exceptional about the experience, nothing luxurious, nothing that justified that price tag. The biggest issue isn't even the amount. It's the principle. If you're going to charge people for something, tell them BEFORE you do it. Don't wait until checkout and then start throwing out explanations that sound like they were created on the spot. I walked out feeling completely taken advantage of and wondering how many other customers have left there questioning their bill. At this point, I don't trust them, and once trust is gone, there's nothing left. K Nails can consider that $106 a farewell gift because they'll never get another penny from me. If you go here, ask the price of every single thing they touch, trim, file, clip, shape, or "go around" before they do it. Otherwise, don't be surprised when your total ends up looking nothing like what you expected.

Case in point is when I made an appt and walk in only for these two young girls, whom I'm guessing are in high school, sitting down to the side of the front desk to greet me. Odd? Yes, because why aren't you actually at the front? I told them my name and the service I was here for. Out of nowhere this girl comes and asks me what I'm getting. I show her the design and she said I can go with her. We walk to her station, which reminded me of cubicles because they're all right next to each other. She starts taking off the nail polish and I noticed there's a sign on each desk asking to inquire of prices before services. I asked her how much it would be and she looked puzzled. Then she went to one of the other workers and asked him. She came back and told me $70. I was shocked! $70 for a fill-in? No ma'am! Initially I told her yes, but when I asked her to trim them down only a little (still wanted to keep the l shape but only make it a little shorter) she ended up doing way more and at that point I knew the design wouldn't look the same. I lost interest immediately and went back to browsing on my phone only to have her cut my cuticles on two different nails. It felt like they were on fire! At this point I'm livid, in pain, and couldn't wait to get out of there fast enough. When it came time to paint I told her to just give me a solid pink. She looked confused and I reiterated only a solid color. She then said ok, $45. You're joking, right? $45 dollars for a basic, and I do mean basic pink color with no lines, designs, nothing? It's egregious and down right laughable. I was so relieved when she finished and couldn't wait to get out of there. Overall, this visit reminded me of how someone goes into a barber shop and there's one barber who's dying for a client, but no one wants to sit in his chair. Perhaps it could have been different if I had another technician but the fact is, I didn't, she couldn't really communicate, I wasn't offered anything to drink and she cut my nails so short, I couldn't even do the design, and was grossly overcharged. Thank you, next....
