I was looking for an affordable place (heck yes, $35!) to get a pre-trip pedicure and am happy I landed on Golden Nails. They were immediately able to accommodate me as a walk-in, and I was out within 30 minutes. Even though service was fast, it didn't take away from quality...my cuticles, trim, heels, and polish coating came out perfect. Lots of stations, clean setups, and beautiful results...I'll definitely be back. PS - make sure to get a loyalty card; you get a discount after 10 visits! read more

Do not let that man touch your nails. Absolutely butchered my natural nails. Ripped them apart, then acrylics were thick and wicked crooked. He couldn't do anything but a single color coat, ended up fixing them myself at home. Also shared nail buffers, files, etc. between clients. Did have autoclaved metals, but everything else was used on more than one person for who knows how long. read more

I was a walk in this was my first time in and I had a wonderful experience. The salon itself had a wonderful atmosphere and ambience. The staff was very friendly. I only had to wait about 20 minutes. This was a full set acrylic with gel. It was the exact length and shape I was looking for!! The gentleman who took care of me was very gentle, precise, and efficient. This was the third salon I've tried in the neighborhood, the other two not that great. I am so happy I finally tried Golden Nail. I got the luxury pedicure ($50) and it truly was. They went above and beyond my expectations, even letting me know to wait a few minutes before putting on a second top coat. Checking to see if polish was dry every few minutes and then carefully putting on my sandals when she decided it was safe. Most places put on all the coats and then leave you to figure out when it is safe to walk out. I got a punch card and will be going back regularly! read more

This place is terrific. Prices are reasonable, and the salon is clean though a little cluttered with their exuberant decorating style. I had been using another nail place previously, but their prices had gone up (and service didn't match) and parking was frequently a challenge. I started going through the places on Lower QA and took a chance on Golden Nail. I will not go anywhere else, from this point forward. As I mentioned, prices are great and they don't rush through your service, even when people are waiting. This alone makes it worth the trip but add it to the consistent customer service and you have a winner. read more

The man who did my nails was detail oriented and gave me a hand and arm massage at the end. I'll definitely be back! I hate giving negative reviews but there's just no way I could ignore this. The positives: they take walk-ins and they were pretty friendly. That's where it ends. The negatives: the lady I got filed my nails to the point that they started bleeding. She had to stop more than once to pat down blood. I should have left then. As another reviewer mentioned. she didn't didn't add enough coats of the gel polish. By day 2 I already had one chipped mail. Generally when I've gotten gel, they rarely chip and if they do, it's certainly not by day 2. I don't know if I just got the wrong person but I won't be coming back here again. read more

Came here super last minute before a big trip last summer, they squeezed me in and sent me home with great nails! Lasted all throughout my two week trip. And the main and the biggest part was the gel they used, did NOT damage my natural nails underneath!! I had/have been working to strengthen them as they are naturally thin. Great vibes, very chill! I love this nail salon. Highly recommend it. Probably the best pricing I've seen in Seattle nail salons since I moved here 3 years ago, and I won't go anywhere else. I called for a walk in appointment and they were able to squeeze me in for a quick pedicure, and the woman who did my pedicure was super friendly and communicative. Made sure I was comfortable, and their pedicure experience was fantastic and even included a hot stone calf massage at the base tier. read more

I came in to get my nails done with a very simple flower design in mind (sandy liang five-petal flower). First, my nail tech would not let me choose the colors I wanted after I asked multiple times because she said it would not show up (low contrast) but my friend did those same colors with her nail tech and it looked great. Second, the nail art is very sloppy and not at all what I wanted. She did mention that she can't make it the exact same as the picture (even though it was a very basic design) but that was fine since all I needed was a simple flower. If you see the pictures, she literally just made five messy dots and didn't even connect them. She also seemed irritated whenever I asked to change anything. It was very frustrating that she couldn't do any part of the simple design correctly. My friend came in at the same time and her nail tech was better but also a little sloppy. I picked this place specifically for the nail art and I mentioned that when I made this appointment. If you're going for any kind of design, I would not recommend as the result was low quality and the service was not good. read more

I've come to this nail salon for several months, but I will not be back. Kathy often does my nails. I'm so over the fact that I made an appointment for 5:30pm today and they seemed "too busy to take me". I waited for 20 minutes after my appointment start time and eventually left. The last time I was there, they had others who arrived with an appointment and couldn't be seen. They're pretty bad with managing their appointments and their time. read more

Honestly i should of read more of the reviews. Their shaping is terrible and rushed.. I also asked for pink tips and told her and him three times and she still used white. Their work is super super sloppy and rushed. And then when i was paying he told me $100 which when i first arrived he said $25 for a pedicure and $65 for my manicure. And then the other girl had to correct him and say it's $90.... Red flag. I'm not one to ever right reviews or ever complain but god dam LMAO don't go here . read more

My sister and I came to Seattle on a week long vacation and we were both way overdue for mani pedis. We had read Yelp reviews and Golden Nail was near our hotel. We called to make an appointment and went on a Thursday morning. They really took great care of us! The mani and pedi was great on its own. We both got the Deluxe versions of both which came with scrubs, hot rocks, hot towel wraps, paraffin waxes and massages. The constant never ending massaging as each treatment was happening was so appreciated and amazing. It was a great experience and my skin is so soft and I was so relaxed afterwards. They have nice spa chairs as well. We are trying to figure out how soon we can come back to Seattle to go to Golden Nail again! The prices were very reasonable as well! read more

Been here several times and I have to say they have the best price for a basic mani and pedi in the area. Today I decided to do something different and got shellac on my nails. The color turned out real nice thanks to my nail technician recommendation on the color. I higher recommend this place. -The price is good. -Theres a lot of color to choose. -The service is friendly. -There is almost never a wait or at least the numerous time I have been here there is no wait ( I normally go on Saturday mornings). -It's easy to find and there's plenty of street parking at a reasonable price. read more

The nail techs were sweet, and gentle. They did a fantastic, yet careful job with my cuticles. The no chip manicure paint job was practically flawless. I would definitely recommend this place. On an unrelated note: I think the quality of polish nationally or something has changed bc I haven't had a no chip last longer than a week without chipping - terrible. It's less thick, nails feel more brittle after, etc. Both index fingers chipped after 4 days. read more

I wandered into this salon since it was so near my house. I only had to wait 10 minutes to be serviced! I was shocked by the prices. I loved that they are economic. An express pedicure which includes foot soak, nail trim and file, cuticle cut, callus removal, and sugar scrub and massage was only $15!!!! I mean talk about good! I had a manicure and it was $10. The manicure was okay, the girl who did my hands was a little rushed. However the girl who did my pedicure was amazing. She truly cleaned my feet. Her name was Hannah. Overall I see myself coming back here for pedicures! Just so you are aware the place is a little run down and could be a little more organized but if you bypass the appearance you will be blown away. read more

These guys are alright for nails. 100% do not recommend their lash service. The set that the lash tech applied was pretty and she did it quickly, but my eye swelled tremendously. Enough to wake me out of my sleep at 3a and keep me up all night. My son and I were scheduled for a photo shoot the morning after and I had to reschedule the whole thing. The tech was nice enough about it and removed my lashes immediately upon opening up shop the next morning. No refund was given, but she did offer a free pedicure. I'm here, at the salon getting said pedicure. They are charging me extra to get the deluxe, which is what I usually get. The service is fine... I don't think I will be returning after this tho. DO NOT get your lashes done here unless you want to go BLIND. The owner's name that goes by Lisa poured glue inside my eyes and dodged me for days to have it removed giving me all sorts of stupid reasons annnnd the day she did my lashes she gave me an eye drop that had expired. She's heartless and don't give two fucks about people's well-being. She does not sanitize anything she utilize in that so called lash studio! Even the room she's using does not qualify to be a lash studio. Pay more and keep your eyes safe!!!! Once it's gone its goneeeee. My doctor told me I could have lost my sight because of the toxic chemical she used to remove the lashes. She was literally picking my natural lashes along with the extensions during the removal which left me lash-less for weeks! read more

I'm quite reluctant to get my nails done because of past experiences where I come away with a bloody finger :(. But golden nail was not like that at all! Granted I've only visited once so far, but the lady who was doing my gel manicure was so careful and meticulous. There were many times when she would go back and check a step/nail was perfect. Literally the worst experience I've had at a nail salon! I'm so disappointed. It's not even 24 hours later and they look worse! I went into for a mani pedi and the lady who was doing my pedicure was amazing and did great which is why I'm even giving it a 2 star rating when it should be negative 5. The lady doing my hands was so rude and tried to force me into acrylic set when I said I wanted it soaked off to get liquid gel. She got upset and started to cut down the acrylic and tried to do a "fill" so i told her again i wanted them off. She got rude & finally soaked it off. Then she kept telling me to do dip powder instead and I kept saying I wanted liquid gel and then another lady came over and told me to do dip so I finally just said fine and started crying. The lady didn't even care and even laughed a bit. HOW RUDE! This was my finished product and I'm so annoyed but I don't even want to go back to get them to fix it because of how bullied I was. She ended up cutting my natural nails down much to my dismay and shaped it so weird! I said I wanted almond rounded! I had been growing my nails out for 2 1/2 months so I knew they were long enough. read more

Well, I have been here a few times now. I have noticed that the service has changed quite a bit. I went yesterday 5/22/23 for maybe my 6th visit, and my nails are done horribly. Whenever I told them I wasn't happy with something, I was convinced it was 'fine'. It isn't fine. I got home, and my nails were not cleaned up, and one toe doesn't even have a second coat of paint in it. I likely will not be going back. I am disappointed! read more

Melissa G was my aesthetician and the appointment started off great, although she didn't ask me how I like my brows done before starting, which is unusual. However, after 45 minutes or so I noticed she wasn't changing her gloves and they were getting really sticky with wax residue, so every time she'd touch me I'd get stickier too - the paper cover on the table underneath me was starting to come off stuck to me in shreds. After she adjusted the position of the wax table, including unplugging and replugging the wax warmer cord with her gloves still on, I politely asked her if she could change her gloves before continuing, and she said sure, she would if she *had* some (?!?!). Guess what, friends - there was only one more glove in the whole store in her size, and all the others were much much too small to fit her. I'm not sure how gloves don't get routinely restocked in a waxing salon, and I'm not sure how Melissa thought it would be ok to perform a nearly full-body wax appointment with one and a half pairs of gloves, when typically in my experience gloves get changed pretty often during a wax -- if she had welcomed me to my appointment and said, I'm so sorry, I realized I'm out of gloves, do you mind waiting 10 minutes while I run to the Bartell's LESS THAN TWO BLOCKS AWAY and grab a box, I would have been happy to wait AND would have been grateful for the emphasis on hygiene practices. I don't even want to think about the germs that got cross-contaminated onto my raw exfoliated skin from that one pair of gloves touching everything in the room. Never again will I book here.

She also asked me to REMOVE my review. And all this happened from 3.30 AM to 5 AM, yes early morning 3.30, the same person who didn't have time earlier to reply to my emails in the daytime. And when I told her that it's surprising that she had the time to send emails at 3.30 AM, she said that she can email at any hour suitable to her. Really? No, you cannot do that, you cannot disturb someone at 3.30 am. I couldn't sleep at all that night and it was really a horrible experience for me and I wish no one goes through something like this, that too just for a facial. Taylor Preston, the owner of Estrella Salon contacted me the next day, I had got waxing done from her in November 2014. Taylor apologized after reading Ceanna's emails and offered to give me a facial with 50% discount. You can read the whole thing below: According to Ceanna, my cancellations have interrupted her ongoing clients, but I don't know how she is accusing me for the July cancellation when she herself was not in Seattle from June to August 17th. And if she was busy she could have told me the very first day that she cannot accept new clients. She said just because she cancelled on me I shouldn't have taken it so personally and acted upon something so minor. And it doesn't warrant my emotional reactions to lash out at her business even if I got to know about the cancellation only after I inquired about my appointment. "Being informed is being informed", these were her words, and because I never received any service from her I can't write about my experience. So, in short a customer cannot be busy because they don't have any other work in their life other than getting a facial and they can't write about an experience before the actual service. She also told me that since she had OFFERED me a recommendation even when she has never met me so it was EXCELLENT customer service, yes she wrote those words in UPPER CASE. And that I never responded to this offer and that she can no longer offer me that recommendation. I mean, really? After living in Seattle for a year does anybody need recommendations? Her language clearly shows that she felt she was doing me a big favor with the RECOMMENDATION and that without her recommendation I can't find another esthetician. I felt like laughing because I have already received facials from 3 different estheticians in Seattle and they are all awesome, but I wanted something in walking distance from my apartment so I contacted her but now I really regret it. I really couldn't believe that I received emails with such language and few words in UPPER CASE and that too between 3.30 AM-5.30 AM. Are customers so unimportant that they should be obliged or scared to write about their negative experience?? This whole thing could have been handled maturely, rather than accusing and threatening a customer.

I can see parking being a little difficult here during busy hours since it's in belltown, but definitely worth it in my opinion. Another customer came in around 7:30pm requesting a mani/pedi and the owner happily agreed to provide service. TIP: Call in advance to ensure they're open if it's later at night!

Customer service was commendable, and the staff were pleasant. However, there were several issues that were quite disappointing. I arrived around 3 PM and left at 6 PM, spending three hours to receive unsatisfactory nails. The acrylic was stuck to the skin under my nails, and the gel polish was bumpy. Despite requesting square nails, I received bubble/duck nails. This was particularly disheartening as it was my birthday, and the set cost $90. Additionally, there was black polish residue on my fingers, and the French top line was uneven. There were communication issues regarding the length; I asked for slightly shorter tips during clipping but was told that filing would shorten them. However, the poor gel polish application made the nails appear longer. Although a companion who received a regular polish manicure had a positive experience, I would not recommend this salon for acrylics, as shaping, design, and polish application are not their strong suits. read more

I'm not one to leave reviews. But in this case, Golden Nails definitely deserves a positive review for their commitment to extraordinary customer service. When I call in, no matter who I speak with, they are always courtesy and friendly. They go out of their way to make sure my questions are answered. But what I love most is just how they make me feel. They really make me feel important, that my business means something and is special to them. And the results they've delivered be are well beyond what they promised in the beginning. As a said, I'm not one to leave reviews for any company, good or bad. But, I had to leave this one as I'm just so happy with my results and the service I've received. This is the last place I went to and got a pedicure and ended up getting a foot fungus. I've never gotten one before and when I removed the polish all my nails were infected :( I would go here because it was closest and convenient but it looks like I have to go somewhere else now after I get this treated. However, two days after my gel manicure, the edges started lifting. This has been happening the last few visits. I decided to call and ask them if they could fix the thumb nail which was so hideous, I peeled off the polish. I went in after work - the lady that fixed it didn't acknowledge me. I was having trouble matching the color, and asked for her help, she completely ignored me and walked away to talk to someone else that was working. She returned and just stood there with her arms crossed, staring at me. At this point I was on the verge of tears and wanted to say 'nevermind' and leave, but I chose the closest color to what I had. I also asked her if she could seal the other few that were peeling and she straight up told me 'no' and shook her head to reiterate 'no'. She did two coats on the thumb nail, panting onto my skin, then filing my skin to 'fix' it. As I was walking out (the girl at the front desk is always very kind) she apologized and could see how upset I was, she even offered me a discount for next time, but I didn't have the heart to tell her that I am never coming back. I walked out into the parking lot and just cried. I will never for the life of me understand why someone would center their business around customer service, yet treat people like absolute garbage. The nail place I used to go to wasn't the cleanest honestly. Half the chairs didn't work, and they didn't have a ton of colors, but they treated people with kindness, and perfected their craft. And that goes a lot further than a crystal chandelier hanging in your salon, when your polish job is subpar and customer service is even worse. I never write reviews like this, but I feel I would be doing others a disservice if I didn't. If you want your money's worth, and to be treated like a human being, do not give this place your business.

I asked why, to which they said they only drill off the color (I had a couple of old designs on a clear polish background), and they'd never let the drill touch my nail bed. I was hesitant but agreed. I had a mani/pedi. The woman doing my toes filed off the first layer of old gel and soaked off the rest. Yes! Exactly what I wanted! Then the mani came (at the same time) and I shared with her again that I've had nail trauma and would like to soak off. She said they can't do that. I looked at my feet, seeing them in fact doing just that. She promises she won't drill my nail beds. Well, she did, of course. And she cut four of my fingers doing cuticle work. My nails are thin, in pain, and bleeding. Not sure why they could soak off my toes but not my hands considering they were the exact same kind of gel. Pretty disappointing experience considering the spot is really nice and pretty pricey. Won't be returning.
