I think it was a Brandon that serviced my car. It's been making a funny noise while I'm stopped (not idol) for about two years. It's slight, but I notice it. Another mechanic replaced the main belt and that might have helped a little - it was 10 years old, so likely needed replacing anyway. I didn't want to take it to a Chevy dealer because of bad past experience. I thought I would try this mobile car repair since it's convenient with good Google reviews. The mechanic said he heard the noise but the car had no codes and when we drove around with his machine plugged in, there were no issues. He recommended a tune up to see if that would help and found a small oil leak that needed to be fixed - $750 for a 2015 Corvette, seemed reasonable especially for the convenience. He couldn't fix it that day because parts needed to be ordered. They charge a visit fee that's deducted from the repair cost if you complete the service - reasonable. The mechanic came back and did the tune up and oil leak fix. This took 3 or 4 hours and I checked on him a few times. Each time he was on the phone helping another mechanic that needed guidance. Again, no problem. I would rather have a mechanic that helps others and not the ones that need help. We drove around after service and the noise is still there. No codes or warnings on the machine. Problem: within a week of service I drove the car for the first time myself. About two miles from the house at a speed of 55ish I felt the car hesitate slightly. I thought maybe something from the oil leak repair that would go away so I kept going. My husband was an hour away towards the coast. As I drove on the highway the hesitation became more frequent, like every five minutes. My car has 180K miles on it, so I notice when something is off. After maybe 30 minutes it had a short (maybe 1-2 seconds) of a feeling like it was going over gravel, but I was on the highway. This became intermittent and longer periods as we were driving home. When I was close to home and just getting off the highway, the check engine light comes on. I had called the mechanic and he said he would come back. We didn't drive the car at all after returning home that day. The mechanic came back and found that a wire had "jumped out" of one of the spark plugs - not cool. He fixed it for free, cleared the code, and checked the car after driving further from the house with the machine plugged in. This could have really damaged my car and was definitely a mistake from the mechanic. All I got was an apology and no partial refund for my trouble. I would not use this company again. I'm giving three stars because I think this mechanic was good but made a mistake because he was fixing my car while he was on the phone helping other mechanics. read more

The "mechanic " did not have hardly any tools,was on fb scrolling for 20min and seemed like he had very little knowledge on what he was doing.He stated that his diagnostic tool was borrowed.. Before I deployed to the military i had a mechanic come out to service my car. I needed my brake fluid changed and had a check engine light due to a severed O2 sensor the rear rotors on the car was also in need of servicing. I was charged full price but only had the brakes done. I contacted Brandon about the issue and was told that when I returned from training the additional services would be completed. Fast forward 2 months i come home and this guy is ghosting me and acting like he has no recollection of the agreement. My alternator and battery went out while in Orlando for vacation. A local friend recommended Top Notch Mobile Repair and they did not disappoint! They were on time, diagnosed the problem, brought the parts and installed them on site in a timely manner. AND the price was reasonable. I highly recommend!!! UPDATE: Made it home to Washington DC! The very next day when I went out in the morning to start my car the battery was completely dead. I towed my vehicle to my regular mechanic to figure out what drained the battery and was told the new installed battery was way undersized for my vehicle. This is completely unacceptable. The install of an undersized battery makes the price unreasonable and puts their integrity and knowledge of auto-mechanics in question. My recommendation is that if you must use them, I didn't have too many choices, purchase your own parts and have them install them. Also, I asked for a receipt for the parts purchased, there was no response. Be careful with this company! read more

Needed help bad since car was starting to get dangerous driving with a bad steering rack. I called them and they got to work as soon as they were available. They had to come back again because of alignment issues but I'm thankful they came back and fixed it. I won't hesitate to call anyone else if it's another big project like this. read more

To be fair, I paid Brandon to install a new Starter. Of course, a good mechanic would verify whether that is the issue or not, but Brandon didn't bother to troubleshoot the issue prior to doing the work. Secondly, I attempted to start with the old starter in the truck, so he could hear the noise, but my efforts were pointless. Thirdly, he proceeded to install the new starter -- the truck made the same single click noise with the old starter, he didn't see no harm in charging me the full $150 for not fixing the issue. Nevertheless, he tries to diagnose the issue after the fact, even in his "experience" he couldn't figure out the problem. He says he will "research" it that night -- never happened, never heard from him after he got the $150 cash. I could've played hard ball with him, but that life is past me. If this was your daughter who had the same issue I had would you have given her the same subpar service and collected such payment? I hope that $150 goes far for you, Brandon. read more
