The first day we came, the front desk lady was very nice and set us up to come the next day to get a tour of the center and to discuss options. We met with the owner and talked with him for about an hour and a half going through an assessment of what we are looking for and what our fitness goals are. It was nice to have a trainer actually do this as we hadn't experienced that from the past personal training gym we were going to! This was a plus to us. He told us we could text him to set up a time to try out the group workouts for free. We texted him the next day and told him what days we could do, he let us know a lady (I'm assuming a trainer) would be contacting us to set that up. He also asked my husband if he could personally set something up with him one on one to get some training sessions started with him. He asked when would be a good time for him to call my husband, my husband let him know, but he never called nor contacted us to reschedule. Also, the lady that was suppose to call us to set up the group sessions never called either. Obviously they don't need new clients who care to join their gym so we decided we are going to continue searching for a good personal training gym in our area. Very disappointing as it looked like a cool gym, but when the owner/trainer can't even give us a call when they said they would, it tells us something. They won't let you out of a membership or skip a month without a doctors note. I tried to skip a…read moremonth because I didn't want to infect the studio with Covid but they are insisting I provide a doctors note to do so (even though that's not stated in the contract). There's also a 6 month commitment after signing up. Since I can't skip I don't want to waste my money so I asked to cancel my membership. They told me it's a $200 fee because my membership automatically renewed.... I just hit my 6 month mark.... Honestly just money hungry people that lock you in to a membership and would rather you infect their studio with Covid than help you out and let you skip a month. Just find another studio. Edit: I woke up this morning to a $200 fraudulent charge from the hook on my account after leaving this review. I also left this same review on google and they responded with pure lies trying to save their image. They said my membership renewed 3 months ago which is not true. My membership is set to renew this month in a few days and they refuse to cancel without the $200 fee. This company acts like they are women supporting women but all they do is promote body dysmorphia and steal your money. Second Edit: Just want to put out there the love and support I received in the last message from the hook. They stole $200 from me without my permission and Ive said nothing since this happened last week... just now I get a message telling me to move on then she instantly blocked me. First time I've been kicked off a machine in 30 years of…read moreworking out in gyms across the world...literally while in the middle of my set by an employee unracking my weights and telling me to get off cause they are moving the exact machine I was currently using,.. I only had two sets left, mind you, and my sweater was on machine, I was getting ready to sit in it and use it, and the employee starts unracking my weights. I said "excuse me, I am using this and he said well we are moving it"! Never ever would this happen at 24 hour fitness or any other commercial big or small private gym. They know how to put their patrons first at those other places. IF he actually was taught to put members first, he would've let me finish the extra three minutes it would have taken me to complete my sets... never going back here. Or they could've put a sign to not use machine, like all other gyms in the world do. I have been a personal trainer all my life and never have I witnessed anything like what happened to me here today. If you're serious about your workouts and your time in the gym, don't bother with this incompetent staff that doesn't know how to put paying members first. What I experienced today is like eating at a restaurant and while you're in the middle of taking a bite of your half eaten burger, the waiter comes to your table and grabs your plate with your fries from underneath you. Who does that? LOL.
