I got the matcha thai tea with boba and my sister tried the original tao tea special, which was their black milk tea with brown sugar. The tea tasted very strong and traditional so if you are looking for more of the American slushie boba tea then you won't like this. If you want the original milk tea experience then this is a great place for you. I can't wait to go back and try some of their other flavors. It's been over a year since I came to this establishment. I wanted to give them another try while I was nearby- even though my last experience wasn't the best. I got myself an Oreo brown sugar tea with some add ons. After taking the first sip of my drink my mouth was full of salt. I went up to the counter to see if this drink was made with salt and it was clear it wasn't supposed to be. The server I spoke with clearly didn't know what she was doing. I expressed how shitty the drink tasted while the server asked her coworkers and they laughed as it was a clear mistake. After expressing how bad my drink was the server said "oh well" and walked away smiling, leaving me there with my salt filled Oreo tea. At that point I asked to speak to a manager. Patrick was kind enough to hear about my experience and we stepped outside to address the situation as I did not want to make a scene in the busy establishment. After speaking to him he offered to remake me drink- which in my opinion is something that should have been done in the beginning. Safe to say this place is a waist of money. read more

This is my new favorite place to get boba in this part of the city. It's been a long time since I had a drink that made me go "WOAH" it's that good! I'm really sad about this but I have a dairy allergy and clearly stated so. I'm really disappointed that businesses don't take this seriously. I called and the person working told me that the creamers are "non dairy" but non dairy does not mean lactose-free or dairy free. This place is amazing, its also really cute inside as well while drinking amazing boba made by the employees there, especially manager JANET who ive known when the place first opened who has been a hard working person and makes incredible drinks for us and has never really failed us. This is a good boba place with many options. They have teas, smoothies, coffee, and more. So far I have had 3 different drinks and recommend all of them. The place has sitting tables and board games so you can chill and play. The papaya sunrise tasted very refreshing and natural. It was sweet and just perfect. However last time I had their sago milk tea, the pudding was curdled and rancid. I didn't notice this at first as I started drinking it halfway through my drive. But it was just absolutely disgusting and you could clearly see that there was a green hue to it. My favorite was sago milk tea, dragonfruit kumquat, and the brown sugar boba. Many bubble tea places do a dairy free milk powder for their drinks but this place either offers actual dairy milk or coconut milk as a dairy free alternative. I've often done the drinks with coconut milk and it makes them so rich, creamy, and tasty! The flan custard is also a great add-on to the teas. You cannot go wrong here! read more

I will say that I still very much like Tao Tea, but I will also add in that I've noticed since getting Tao Tea that I've been noticing some add perfume-like flavors. I started getting Tao Tea more regularly and have noticed that there is a lot of rose-like/floral flavors in their different teas. For example, we have gotten the Mango Paradise smoothie many times and I have never liked it - my husband loves it - and I think it's because I can taste flowers in it. I've also gotten the Dragonfruit Green Apple smoothie and it has similar flavors that bother me. I will continue to try this place out because I initially loved it. I still love their Thai Coffee. I also like that I can address the sweetness and have it 0-75% if I want to. Their staff is super kind and have always made the items I request. I guess if I find out why their stuff sometimes tastes like flowers/perfume/soap, then I will be happier! read more

Beside their milktea, My personal favourites are the coconut ginger, coconut dragonfruit, thai tea, and the DURIAN YOUGURT. Yes, it's durian yougurt. The owner managed to come up with a recipe that makes the taste of durian very pleasant and matches well with the yougurt. They also have great customer service. My husband and I love boba... we actually wanted to try the boba place across the street but they only take cash so we were excited to see that there was a place we could go to right across the street... the place is really cute and cozy and has board games you can play... we ordered the thai tea coffee and the grapefruit tea... then we saw tamarind and my husband LOVES tamarind so we ordered another drink... we will talk about that one later... the thai coffee was ok... something was off but I can't put my finger on it and the grapefruit cup was really nice and even came w a small fork to eat out the fresh grapefruit... it was a bit on the sweet side and had a weird taste to it and some weird jelly type thing I have no idea what it was... Now for the tamarind..... I dont know what that was... I felt like my taste buds were assaulted... first looking at it we were surprised because there were peanuts and sesame seed (alot of sesame seeds) I and some clumpy something on the top... so I shook it up and we decided to taste it even though it didnt look appetising... my husband tasted it first and I wish I could describe the look on his face... I told him to fix his face cuz I didnt want the workers to see the look on his face... I didnt think it could be that bad so I tried it... I couldnt see my face but I know the look couldnt of been a good one...
