Really good boba on the north side finally!!! (With the caveat that I only got the tea, not the actual tapioca) We got two milk teas, the phoenix dankong and the da hong pao. The former is similar to a light ceylon and the latter tastes somewhat toasted, like a hojicha but black. Both were excellent at 50% sweet. If you want a sweet treat, I think 75% would be nice, but the tea flavor really comes through at 50%. I think this place rivals some of the better Chinatown spots. Now if we could only get boba in other parts of the city...

I'm calling Chazui the north side Molly dupe. We all know Molly Tea has been the talk of the town (city) love at first sip. But Chinatown is such a travel for us northsiders and luckily I stumbled upon Chazui which is just as good. Shocking there isn't a crazy line like Molly but I'm good keeping it lowkey before I can't get my fix. Tea was floral and tasty less milk base which is what we are raving about these days and they even also have the milk foam. I actually love that they have tapioca option versus just amber because I need me some tapioca sometimes. Def check out chazui & it'll be love as first sip too. ADDICTING

What a great find! This place blew up on tiktok and had to try. This is not your typical cafe, it was really quiet and minimalistic. They do not have a lot of tables. Maybe 4 max, but a lot of them were taken by people studying / working. I got the strawberry matcha with oat milk which was a fun twist and added great flavor overall. I also thought it was pretty unique considering not a lot of places have these added flavors. "I thought the drink was relatively small compared to other milk tea spots since I ended up getting a second one. I also tried the jasmine lemon tea, which was taller and felt like a better value, though it's not as unique as some of the other options on their menu. Would come back again! Service was quick.

Super cute minimalist cafe with nice tea drinks and pastries (coming from Sweet Moon!). I had the white peach oolong milk tea with minimal sugar level and almond milk! It was very refreshing and tasty. My friend had the Jasmine Mango smoothie and loved it too! Will be back to try some other drinks and the fun pastries as well!

The jasmine grape smoothie was amazing. It was the perfect amount of sweetness. I can't wait to come back here in the summer and try the refreshing drinks in the heat.

This place is so cute! Love their combinations and they are really fun and flavorful. They were also super nice and walked me through the whole menu. It's a little bit expensive but definitely worth it for the premium ingredients!

Honestly they have some of the perfect drinks in this hot muggy weather! Highly recommend the Tropical Jasmine. Location is small but there's a few tables. Service was friendly as well.

Finally! A tea place opened in Lakeview where it tastes authentic. 10/10 for Chazui!! A lot of the drinks were sold out but we tried the da hong pao milk tea and phoenix dankong milk tea. I liked the da hong more (black tea) and the phoenix is oolong! Definitely get 70% sugar for the perfect balance. Can't wait to try the other teas!!

It was okay, the tea wasn't bad but it was very light in flavor. The staff was friendly and double checked to make sure the order was correct. Not a lot of seating inside, but a few tables and open outlets. I tried the Boya Milk Foam Tea and it was very light. It is nothing like boba, so don't expect sweet but instead floral.

I feel like they wanted the high quality tea aesthetic and the high quality tea price but did not provide high quality tea. It was average. I probably would not come back again. Bathroom was nice. Service was relatively quick and there is a kiosk to order.

Super cute and affordable tea spot in Lakeview! I got the peach oolong tea and the peach flavor was delicious and fragrant for the first few sips but wish I got less sugar because 70% was too much for me. I feel like the tea flavor faded out as I drank. I tried my friends lemon tea with 0% sugar and it definitely needed sugar haha. Service was great though, the staff were all super knowledgeable and attentive. I'd probably come back and try another drink with less sugar.

It's located opposite of the cash register and menu. Service was friendly. Washroom (restroom, bathroom search terms) available. Decent amount of seating, serving as a solid space to study or get work done. Black Sesame Matcha Latte - while the black sesame graininess settled at the bottom expectedly, the matcha was clearly whisked well. There were no clumps of bitterness to be found. Despite sugar adjustments, this was still very sweet so I'd classify the spot as more desserty rather than strong matcha or a cafe. Though I'm happy to be proven wrong with their regular matcha in the future.

I wish I was able to travel with one of their cheesecakes but they require refrigeration. Anyhow the cheesecake itself was delicious super light, fluffy, and honestly felt like biting into a cloud. I had the salted egg but they had several flavor options that I would've loved to try if slices were available. The texture is what really stands out, and the flavor was unique and interesting in a good way. I couldn't quite put my finger on what it taste like, but it was sweet, but not too sweet They only sale but I consider a personal size but it's definitely enough to share with two people, maybe even three depending on how much of a sweet tooth you have. My only downside like others is the price. Paying around $19-$20 for a small cheesecake felt a bit steep, especially since they don't offer slices. I really wish they had smaller portions available so you could try different flavors without committing to a full cake prize. They package it very well and they also serve you a cute little fork set and a knife for cutting which I think is contributes to the price. The shop itself is very cute with chic décor and a lot of Asian-inspired artwork, which adds to the overall vibe. Customer service was friendly. When I visit Chicago again I'd definitely go back the texture and taste alone make it worth it but I do hope they consider offering smaller portions in the future.

The taiwanese style popcorn chicken and pork cutlet were super juicy and tender with nicely crisp breading. Are you guys ready for this review??…read more So my partner decided we are going to china town for lunch with his mom and sister. Family day in the city, DURING A SNOWSTORM!! We arrive, place is closed, will open in 10 mins. Perfect, we go to a near by shop and I spot some demon hunter Stanley cups!! I get them of course! We head to lunch, everything is great! As we are heading out, my partners sister spots Te'amo! I ask if she's ever had mochi donuts. She hasn't, so of course we must stop in because everyone needs to try them at least once!!! We order at the kiask and patiently wait for our order. We get our order and leave....leaving the bag with the Stanley's behind!!! We don't realize this until we are home (45 mins away)! I immediately call, no answer, call again, no answer. I decide to DM their instagram page and guess what??? THEY HAD THE CUPS!!! Here I was thinking $150 in cups were gone. But they had them!!! A miracle!! 10/10 stars!! Anyway! I highly recommend the brûlée ube milk tea and the ube mochi donuts!!
