The technician they sent was very flaky and difficult to schedule. We were having trouble with our dryer, which he diagnosed as a problem with the motor. He replaced the motor, but the problem never resolved. I made multiple attempts to get him to come out and fix the issue, but he never showed for the appointments. Subsequent attempts to reach him, have not been met with any response whatsoever. The only positive is that he did show me a way to manually kickstart the dryer, so that it is usable, pending a more permanent repair. read more

It's been 5 weeks and still no results! They filially gave me a refund. The next technician from another company came out and discovered that two of my shelves were broken. They weren't broken prior to the first technician from Top Tech. Of course they weren't willing to discuss that with me. I do not recommend this company!!! read more

Don't be fooled by the positive reviews Short version: They were unprofessional and not knowledgeable about my repair. They charged me $300 for unnecessary work and wouldn't come back to finish the job. Long version: I reached out to a local repair shop I found on Google. I had a beverage fridge on my roof deck that had a bad door sensor. I told them the brand, model and what needed to be fixed. I expected someone from the area to show up with the parts needed, fix the problem and complete it within a few hours. What I got was very different. The two guys that showed up were from Top Tech, not the company I set the appt with. They mentioned having to drive from downtown. They arrived in an unmarked sedan with no shirts or signage to indicate they were repairmen. They did show up on time and knew I had a problem, but had no idea what the problem was. I explained what I had told them over the phone. They told me I would be charged $95 for a diagnostic check. I agreed to it even though I already knew what the problem was. The fridge was in a custom made counter with a barbecue and the person who built it had not considered having to pull the fridge out. It took them five hours to get the fridge free from the barbecue. I asked them if it was necessary to remove it and they said it was. By the time they finished removing the fridge, the day was over. They wanted me to pay them for their time. I agreed, but wanted to pay when the job was finished for fear they might not come back. They insisted I pay them now. I gave them $300 for the work. They said that the problem was the sensor (big surprise) and it was also low on freon. They needed to order the part and it would be there in a day or two. I followed up with them multiple times the next week with no response. I reached out to the manufacturer and was able to order the sensor and replace it myself. There was no need to remove the frdge as the sensor is located inside the front panel. There was still the original tape in place which tells me they never looked at the sensor and there was no serial number on it which they said they needed to order a new one. It cost me $30 and it's working fine now. Maybe they weren't experienced with my product, but they should have said something instead of faking their way through it. They didn't offer to take their shoes off when entering my home. They smoked and left cigarette butts on my deck. They also scratched my outdoor teak table when they were working. These are small things, but it's what I've come to expect after working with other contractors. I gave them two stars because they showed up on time, removed the fridge without damaging it and were also pretty nice. I would never call them again for any service. Wrote same review on Google. I do not recommend this company for any appliance repairs. The cost for a 15 minute cleaning of a stove and one small part, $320.00 and the oven didn't even get fixed. The tech was rude and flippant, when I called to him to come back out he never called back. The dispatcher said he would have to charge to come out again. What a waste of money! read more

They don't even deserve one star! A repair man came to my house in December to fix my oven and microwave. He was here about 3 hours and fixed my microwave. He didn't know what was wrong with my oven but said he'd find the schematic and get back to me. He never got back to me. Then my microwave quit working again. I called and it was within their 30 day warranty period. They said they'd have the same repair man come back. He never called. I called the office again. They said he's busy he will call you. I waited 2 more days no call so i called the office back again and she said hold while I call the repair man. She then said he's not answering her call. She said I should try to call him personally. What!?? How is this my job? That's your job. He's not answering the office calls but she said he would probably answer me....um, no! Not My job to call him. You call him and Make him come fix my microwave. He's your employee. That's why I called a company. It's now past the 30 day warranty and nobody will come back to fix my microwave and my oven has never been fixed and I paid $333! I Do not recommend these people at all. They don't care about their work or returning calls. Epic FAIL!!! Ripped off. Horrible customer service if any! Alla 1st of all I was never called back and told he wasn't able to find parts for my oven. He said he didn't know what was wrong with it so how could he possibly be looking for parts???? What part was he not able to find? When I had a new technician look at it he was easily able to identify the problem and he was able to find the correct part immediately. After your company not calming back to fox my microwave after a week of trying to get someone out to fix it I finally called another company. I need my oven and microwave working. That's why I called in the first place. The new knowledgeable technician quickly realized your technician used non factory parts and they caused my microwave to short out! My husband and I moved into a house 2 years ago and inherited some "quirky" appliances. One of these weird appliances is a GE glass induction cooktop with a downdraft exhaust system. The downdraft is supposed to slide upwards to use the fan and then back down into the counter when it is not in use. We had problems with this thing from day one, but finally a repair person figured it out and it worked perfectly for one year. Then it broke again, and the repair shop that fixed it the first time had gone out of business. I didn't know what to do! I called 3 other appliance repair people and none of them would help me. They wouldn't even come look at it. Then I called Top Tech. A nice man answered the phone and booked me an appointment for the very next day. Alex was assigned to our job and he was great. He was polite and respectful and wore a mask. I showed him the problem and he got to work. A couple hours went by and Alex was getting frustrated. I told him several times that if it can't be repaired to just tell me and I'd get a new one. He kept saying that he wasn't ready to give up yet! You could tell he really wanted to figure out the issue. Finally it was getting late and he had to leave. We basically had to kick him out - I think if we let him he would have stayed all night working on that thing! He put the exhaust back together and we paid him for his time. He wrote on the invoice "Need to research" and told me he'd look into it and call me on Monday. Honestly I thought I'd never hear from him again. Then on Monday afternoon, he called! Alex came back over and brought a helper this time. The two of them worked together and didn't quit until it was 100% fixed. They did a great job and the exhaust is now working perfectly! I'm so glad I called Top Tech. I had an unusual problem and 3 other companies wouldn't even look at it, but Alex and Dimitri were up for the challenge and didn't quit until it was fixed. If you have any appliance problems I highly recommend you call Top Tech. They're great! read more

I have an expensive Samsung Stainless fridge and the fan in the freezer suddenly started making a loud buzzing noise.. After the weekend,, it just suddenly stopped. The fan was no longer working.. It was also leaking a lot of water.. On Monday I called Top Tech Appliance to have them come out and take a look at it.. That same day, a gentleman named Alex came out to take a look at it. He gave me an estimate of what it would cost to repair both the freezer and the water leak. He showed me exactly what the problems were and what needed to be repaired or replaced. I thought his estimate was reasonable and could see what needed to be done, as he showed me exactly what the problems were, so I moved forward with having the repairs done. It would have been much much more to replace the fridge! As he did the repairs, he showed me all the faulty parts and hoses that needed to be replaced and why. No monkey business here! The following day, the freezer was still not getting cold, so I called Alex and informed him of such. He came back that evening, checked everything again and discovered that it had no freon. He filled it with freon and stayed late into the evening to MAKE SURE everything worked as it should before going home to his family. And, he didn't charge me for the second visit!! He went above and beyond what you would expect from an appliance repairman! Moral of the story......Alex is honest, a real mench and one of the good guys! Explained to me my problem with the freezer, and they offered me options to repair it. Arrived on time, was respectful and clean, and wore a mask on my home. I have used this company for regular maintainance service for a few years now. They are reliable, if not particularly quick. They do show up on time, but it's a pretty big window they give you. Got advise on which brands seem to have the most defects. Defrosted my freezer with stream and installed something to help defrost the drain. There was too much stuff in my freezer and the air couldn't circulate. Apparently, you aren't supposed to pack your freezer for the next pandemic. LoL read more

Beware you will pay the $75 even if Top Tech cannot provide a tech and refuses to do the work. In June, I scheduled a visit to repair my fridge which had stopped cooling. I was aware of the $75 visit charge with the understanding it would be applied to repair if I chose to use them for the work. A tech came by and said it was the compressor and to call the office for next steps bc he did not repair compressors. He also said the $75 would be applied to the repair service cost if I chose to proceed with Top Tech. When I called the office back, I was told there was no technician available, ever, that could do the compressor repair (A STANDARD FRIDGE ISSUE!) and that they were keeping my $75.......for a job THEY REFUSED TO DO. I asked for a refund and they said no. I wrote to them twice and received NO response. So they have put me in a position to share my experience. BEWARE of using them for repair because they may choose not to help you and still keep your money. read more

Our water dispenser on our GE fridge kept freezing and as a result, wasn't working. Pedro came to fix it, he ordered a heater for it as the water tube kept freezing. Our water worked for all of two days, then stopped again. He replaced it again and again it stopped working after two days through no fault of him or the part. It was our 10 year old GE fridge. He said that they were originally built with the heater but GE decided to save some money and removed the heater. We'll just have to get a new fridge. He refunded the cost of the part quickly, within two days. He's a nice man, wears his mask, and would text before he came. I'd use TTAR and Pedro again. read more

The tech knew exactly how to fix our oven, which he called an "antique" and had the tools and parts to make the repairs. He provided excellent service at a cost we could afford. Later, the oven started making a weird noise. Alex returned and determined it was the clock. He practically dismantled the oven to get to the clock mechanism so he could disable it and saved my sanity. It was obvious he really knew what he was doing. He was detail-oriented. I used this company on two separate occasions (a week apart), first time was to repair my washer, the second time to repair my dryer. On both occasions I received a phone call from their repair person (Vitaly) within 24 hrs after speaking with Angel the company rep. Vitaly was prompt, made the repairs quickly and cleaned up afterward. Unfortunately, after a few weeks the dryer started to do what it was doing prior to having the repairs. Since the parts were under warranty for 90 days and we were only in the fourth week after the repairs I called the company and spoke with Angel to advise her of my issue And schedule another appt. I asked for a repair person to come back out to service my dryer again to determine if a defective part was used or if something else was needed. I never received a call back from there service person. Angel advised me that Vitaly was the service person for my area and not sure why he hadn't callEd me back to schedule an appointment with me. After attempting to schedule three more separate times and no response from there service guy, it turns out he was more concerned about the $$$ amount he could charge than honoring the 90 day warranty on parts. --- so disappointed!!! This could have been handled more professionally in my opinion if this person was one of your best repair persons (as I was told). I consider this a lesson learned and will look elsewhere for future repairs as well as recommendation to friends. ...Updating my review as of 12-29-21. I must say I'm very pleased with how the owner of this company reached out to me personally to apologize for this unfortunate event. They asked if there was anything they could do to correct the error. I had the issue resolve through another service company so there was nothing I wanted other than their process be reviewed to ensure this doesn't occur to someone else. They agreed this would be done which I was glad to hear, but in addition they also refunded me the full cost of the repair. I didn't ask for the refund but was very grateful and appreciative. I think that says a lot for a company if it's important to them that their customers are happy even if it means they may loose out financially. I believe companies like this one will always be successful as long as the customers are valued. I'll use them again in the future. read more
