After some difficulty- I got in touch with Profix. My situation was a bit unique. The control board of Viking Oven broke (If you are reading this- do not consider buying a Viking Oven ever. This is the second time the control board on our oven has blown in 3 years and this is after the oven arrived dead on arrival. Our VIking fridge has broken twice and been replaced as well) and I needed ProFix's help to 1) determine if the part was under warranty and 2) how much the labor was to fix it. If you have Viking appliance and need help under Warranty in the LA area- ProFix is the only vendor available (although I was told one in OC might come up too). I was honestly pretty frustrated with ProFix because I had a picture of the broken part and it was clear what was wrong and what needed to be fixed. Yet, ProFix refused to tell me over the phone how much to install a new control board without paying them $50 for a phone diagnosis or $100 for an in person visit. I agreed to have the tech come who arrived- took one look at my picture (without even looking at the oven) and agreed with my assessment that the control board needed to be replaced. They also told me that the part was not under warranty (I originally thought the control board was under the 5 year extended warranty) which is was not. Profix did send me a full written estimate which was helpful. They assured me that their cost to replace the part would be competitive- which to be fair it was- $900 all in. However, I found another vendor who would do it for $800 and another that would do it for $875. These competitive quotes came from licenses appliance repair businesses (not handy men). Also of note- the other Vendors provided a quote just via my picture and description. What I liked about some of the ProFix alternatives was that they were willing to give me advice on how to fix my oven cheaper- even if that meant not paying them. One vendor which I liked showed me how easy it was to remove the control panel and replace it myself once I told him I was comfortable with simple DIY. Profix was honestly not interested in providing this advice at all even when i asked them. In fact, the tech, who was very friendly basically told me I'd be foolish to attempt to fix such an expensive oven on own even after I told him that I do small jobs on my Jeep and motorcycle which both cost more than the Oven. The ProFix repair person also told me no one fixed broken control boards anymore (people only replaced them)- which a simple google search showed not to be true. This just disappointed me because after spending $100 on Profix's evaluation I was hoping for them to give me some options other than just having them order a replacement and install for $900. In the end- I have decided to send my broken control board (which I removed myself) to a shop that fixes them for $150 (+ $18 shipping) and then attempt to re-install it myself. Im not sure if this will work (fingers crossed) but if it doesn't- I'll ask for help. read more

A little update 6 months later.... The AGA died today. That's 6-months after the initial service. I am lucky it's not the fall when we have family over for big dinners, etc. I am hoping that in such a short time that Profix will make good on this and see why the new parts have failed. I am not deducting any stars at this point, but I will be seeing how this issue is handled. Hoping for the best as I spent a LOT of money on repairs this past December. We are House Managers for a very pricey house in the Brentwood Hills. As such, we take care of everything in and outside the house. We hire all workers, we oversee the work. We are ever so picky because out client is picky and wants everything to perfect. We had installed an outdoor pizza oven for this client some years back. He rarely uses it, but of course on the day he wanted to it would not work. My husband went to the house to try to repair this really expensive Lynx Pizza Office and could not. So, I began my search on Yelp and other places and checked for issues with companies as we are required to do. I was shocked at some of the horrid reviews I saw. I came across Profix and decided we would talk to them, but we had questions, were they BEAR certified, what type of insurance they had a few other questions. Profix got back to us in a few hours and answered every question we had along with BEAR cert. numbers and things like that. This company really had it together. And, again, I am so picky about someone else' home. We retained them on the spot and the next day they were out. They were on time and it is a drive up those hills and they are authorized Lynx repair people. They discovered the issue very fast, a spider had died (sorry Dude) in the gas line making the oven unusable. They had what they needed on their truck and they fixed the problem straight away and it works great. And they were super nice. Their price was ever so reasonable and all but the spider are happy. Stop the scrolling for reviews on other companies, save time and GO WITH PROFIX!!! Best appliance service around hands down. Mike was so professional, so thorough, and he's SO good at what he does. Through where we purchased our Viking appliances we had a few installers come to check on some problems with our fridge, everyone kept passing the buck, it's this, it's that, it's the unit, assembly, etc., but no one could fix the problem. Viking warranty sent Profix and BOOM, Mike checked things out in a way no one had even come close to and fixed the issues. No doubt I will only call Profix in the future for appliance repairs, you can see he takes great pride in what he does and how he does it. read more

We had a miserable experience with ProFix. Our Viking fridge's freezer iced over from a blocked drain tube. Instead of removing and cleaning it (with a small risk of cracking), they insisted it could only be replaced -- but the part was on back order -- so they just steamed it and presented it as a successful fix. Unknown to us, the blockage remained, so the ice came back, and soon after the defrost system failed -- likely from months of running it this way. They gave us no warning that the blockage was still there, no explanation of the potential damage it could cause, and no recommendation to install the replacement part immediately once it arrived. We feel badly let down. When we asked for a partial refund, the response was slow and defensive, and the request was ultimately refused. There are much more helpful and responsive repair companies out there, as we have since discovered. read more

I was extremely disappointed with Profix. I had a touchscreen problem with my Dacor oven. Their technician came out and charged $480 with a "you pay irrespective of whether we repair the problem or not". That was bad enough. However, when their technician explained the problem and the parts that were needed from Dacor, one might think that this met the definition of "Profix diagnosed the issue". I ordered the correct parts from Dacor, tried to book Profix to come and try again to fix the problem, however they said they would charge another $420 and that I would have to pay this irrespective of whether the repair was completed successfully, because they had not diagnosed the problem. I found that completely unprofessional considering it was their technician who had come round first time around and clearly provided his technical advice and diagnosis around what the problem was and what parts needed to be ordered. I would never use this company again. read more

This review is long overdue, I thought I'd written one already! So the situation was thus: We had a gas leak in our double Viking oven and no one could figure out why or where. First, we contacted our closest authorized repair shop, but I was really unhappy to be quoted a ridiculous amount of work and money, which still would have been okay had they identified the problem, but the quote was based on speculation and guesswork as they could not pinpoint the gas leak. I did a wider search for authorized repair and found Profix, but was disheartened when I saw on Yelp that Valencia was outside of their service area. I gave them a call anyway and the rest is happy history. I cannot exactly recall the name of our wonderful tech but he had a very unusual and rather difficult Spanish (Salvadorian) name. Problem clearly identified and solved! Profix now shows a wider service map on Yelp, but if you go to the authorized repair shop finder at Viking, they will not show up on search results so please be aware of this! read more

In April 2025 our Dacor Built-In Refrig. started making a grinding noise. Our Extended Warranty repair service came out diagnosed a lower fan problem in the refrigerator. After they left it got worse and after 2 more visits the temperature would not hold either and the noise continued. They on 3 occasions, reported to our Extended Warrant Insurance that there was nothing wrong with the refrigerator. In comes PROFIX (hired on my own) diagnosed the problem, ordered part, installed and now have a perfectly working refrigerator after 3 months of no resolution from our covered repair service. We contacted Profix to service our build in outdoor grill. Their response was very quick and communication during the entire process was outstanding. The tech (Jordan) was out when promised. He was very thorough in his inspection. We were provided with a detailed quote to try to repair our very old and tired grill. Some of the parts needed to do the repair were no longer available from the manufacturer. We have decided to replace, but will not hesitate to contact Profix for any of our appliance repair needs in the future. read more

We had some work done by this company for us last year. Profix was a referral by a client. It was our first year in business. This year we found out we need a copy of Profix's COI because its a requirement by our insurance provider. Profix refused to provide us proof of insurance. Not sure why they wouldn't provide it unless they are not properly insured. I would ask for them to provide proof of insurance on every job god forbid one of their technicians gets injured, you don't want to get sued. Proxfix came out to repair my Viking Dishwasher. Tech was a very nice person. After removing the drain screen, rinsing it off, and using a towel to sponge out water, charged me $180. Problem reappeared on 1st wash cycle after technician left. read more

Unfortunately, This company did not fix my Viking Ice Maker after multiple attempts, I have now waited over 6 months. Beyond disappointed. They picked it up November 26th and HOPEFULLY they will bring it back in 2 MORE WEEKS. Viking does NOT stand behind their products, spent over $1100 on labor 6 months ago for my stand alone ice maker and it still does not work and another 700 with another company because ProFix was such a disappointment on my ice maker In the refrigerator after 2 1/2 years because paint was chipping off and going into the ice we were drinking. read more

Business quality has declined significantly. The owner, Mike, use to be attentive to customers and repair Viking products properly the first time. For the last few years he now sends technicians that show up late, refuse to follow-up and do not properly fix your appliances because they do not diagnose problems correctly. On top of this his prices are incredibly expensive. I suspect he is operating fraudulently at this point and encourage you to look at the reviews that are not 5 star. I would use the other Viking authorized dealer in Los Angeles or a general appliance repairman. read more

If you own own if the various high end commercial style appliances (Viking for us)and need service this is the place to use! They seem like a family business with some employees but they are professional and incredibly responsive to the consumer. I had Dave come out and his knowledge was top notch and he was a super friendly and fair guy. He even offered more economical solutions to the problem my oven was having. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family and yelper a too! My bro Lil Chrissy has used them several times for his fancy kitchen and gave me the recommendation. read more

Our experience has not been good, at all. I'd be okay waiting for parts from our range company, but no communication from the ProFix is not okay. Lorna has been extremely rude and grumpy--I'm happy to connect with the younger, happier people that work there because they actually get sh*t done and contact the range company rather than making up excuses and not communicating with their customers. I have contacted our range company with all of these details. I would never use this company again--it's sad because our service person was very accommodating, but waiting over three months to get the work done and having to call to check up on it before having the service doesn't work for me. read more

TIME is money, and normally I have no time to write reviews. That said, this is review is worth my time because I wasted a lot of time trying to troubleshoot and repair my barbecue myself. Called to schedule diagnosis appointment week of June 17- scheduled for Tuesday June 25. Technician arrives on time. Immediately takes internal temp of freezer and determines internal temp is 25-26F despite freezer at lowest setting. Calls tech line and is instructed to access evaporator as tech support advised it was "iced over."- proceeds to dismantle interior panels of freezer which includes removal of ice maker, shelves. Determines evaporator matrix is not iced over. Calls tech support again, and is advised fan motor for evaporator is defective. Runs freezer (still disassembled) to trigger compressor on and kick on evap fan. Determines it is the fan motor has quit. Explains situation and that they would need to order fan, reschedule repair etc. No problem. Begins to reassemble freezer / ice maker /shelves. I hear screws being dropped. "Reassembly done" and turns freezer back on to be met with error code on control panel 26 C (= ice make functionality error). Tears back into freezer and finds harness to auger motor wasn't reconnected. No problem. Puts freezer back together and code is gone but mentions to me "I didn't put shelf back, I don't feel like putting this all back together, you can just put this stuff on bottom shelf." I'm not impressed but it's not a big deal. Tech leaves letting me know I will hear from Profix the following day. Later that night the freezer has ice make error code again. A hard shut down clears it. But I find a stainless steel machine screw on my kitchen counter. Upon a closer look of freezer, ice maker, shelves, I see several empty screw holes under ice make shelf (it's obvious screws were here, there are witness marks of where screws were up against plastic). It's unsettling to pay this outfit to come diagnose our unit's issue, and to find it's been put back together as haphazardly as this. I called Profix with my concerns only to have them countered by a very defensive manager (not sure of her name) that said while she wasn't making excuses, that I needed to be made aware of their techs' "insight" - their thinking is they'll be back to rip into the unit to make the repair so why reassemble everything. I could not believe this mindset. (I am in the automotive repair industry- when a vehicle owner has their vehicle's brakes inspected, the mechanics know to put the wheel and all lug bolts back on the car). Her poor attitude towards my concern was enough. We ended up finding a different outfit to resolve this issue. I ended up finding another machine-thread screw, this time in my Hydroflask. I heard an object in my water bottle and opened it up to find the same 4mm type screw in bottom of it. At first I was perplexed as to how it ended up in my water bottle- then it occurred to me- it was left or dropped in the ice maker hopper during the slipshod work. I am really grateful I didn't swallow or choke on it. I would not recommend this outfit for appliance repair. read more

I did a google search to find a certified repair person for my Viking cooktop. Unfortunately it somehow got rerouted to a group who said they were certified by Viking but they were not. The quote for the repair was $2500. After getting in touch with Profix, who actually is a certified repair company, they quickly found the problem and the repair was completed for $606. Quite a difference! Make sure you use the appliance website to look for repair. I certainly learned my lesson. Oh and the initial fee was also $30. less. Thank you Profix!! read more

so rare to find service companies who are OCD about fixing things to perfection! and they even identified and troubleshot a peripheral unrelated issue. unbelievable! I scheduled an appointment to have my Viking range fixed - ovens were not working. The technician came and performed a maintenance for $195 on my range. That evening, the range would not work at all. They sent a new tech over the next day, presumably someone with more experience and knowledge. He identified the issues as related to the igniters for the oven. The price for the repair was $815. My problem with these guys is that the initial guy did nothing to fix, or even identify, the problem. Then, when they sent the new guy who knew how to fix the problem, they did not credit me for the initial $195. That was both inconsiderate and wasted my time. read more

The good: The service was professional and fixed the problem. The bad: pricing beyond the $90 diagnosis was not transparent and unreasonably high for a simple fix. In response to the business owner: Thank you for replying. Perhaps others will find those rates acceptable for a sensor reset due to an over-temp condition that took ~15 minutes to resolve (9:05am-9:20am), but it was a bit high for me. While the $90 diagnostic visit fee was explained ahead of time, the remaining $120 was revealed after the repair took place. The explanation of repair pricing when booking was, "It's at the supervisors discretion". read more

I very rarely write reviews but I felt the need to share my amazing experience with Profix and the technician Adrian who came by to address some issues with my Viking refrigerator/freezer. I own a Viking freezer/refrigerator side-by-side unit and was having problems with the refrigerator door not closing flush. It started with some squeeking with door closing slowly and got progressively worse with door not being able to fully close. My icemaker had also not been working for 4 months. Prior to having Profix come by, I had stupidly googled other Viking repair services and had horrible experiences where they barely did any diagnosis and gave me crazy high quotes to replace hinges, replace ice maker, labor, etc. Those 2 websites sent me technicians from companies that were different from who I had called. The websites I had contacted basically just outsourced the work to local companies that had horrible reviews. After feeling so frustrated with my experience, one of my co-workers referred me to Profix who was a Platinum Authorized service provider for Viking. Profix was a real company that did not outsource work to other companies....they have their own employees. Adrian from Profix came by and was really pleasant and easy to talk to and instead of just saying hinges, etc. needed to be replaced, he did actual troubleshooting, taking out tools to adjust different things on the door. Long story short, he was able to fix the issue without having to replace any parts saving me over $1,000. And what's even crazier is that he said there wasn't any extra charge beyond what I was going to pay for flat fee service call. He also took a look at our busted ice maker and was able to replace it on the spot with new ice maker for far less than what the other companies were going to charge me. And the icing on the cake was that instead of charging me to clean the coils, etc. which the other companies said I really needed to do and quoted hundreds of dollars for, he said that he would take a look first to see if it needed cleaning. He took a look at coils and said it looked really good and there was no need to pay for cleaning! It's so rare to find truly honest companies that don't try and rip you off with unnecessary repairs and service at marked up prices. My experience with Adrian and the rest of the team that I spoke to, to schedule, etc. was awesome. I can only speak for my experience with Viking refrigerator/freezer but if you have any issues with your Viking appliances (and I'm sure with other appliances they repair), you should definitely reach out to Profix. You'll be so glad you did. I rate them an 11 out of 10!!!! read more

I called Profix they were really quick with appointments. Although they couldn't help much with the downdraft hood the technician was really nice and helpful. The downdraft hood was stuck all the time it wouldn't come up . Somehow the day the technician showed up it worked. I was advised to replace the motor but the motor model number was discontinued. I will surely use the services in the future. read more

I requested a repair for my Dacor oven and contacted ProFix because Dacor listed ProFix as authorized service company. ProFix asked for $25 to do an estimate and I agreed. Two weeks later, despite several emails and phone calls asking for the estimate, it was not done. I even asked if the repair was something they could do--I received no response. I have now canceled my request for the estimate and told ProFix I was appalled at its lack of response . read more
