Photos of pedicure are after second attempt. I just left Top Ten frustrated and actually in pain after what is supposed to be a relaxing pedicure experience. My friend and I went in, I was started at least 10 min after her. One person started my pedicure, around 5 minutes later they were arguing and another person took over. She quickly clipped and cleaned my one of my feet, put exfoliant on my super dry legs, rinsed me off and started getting ready to paint. She was just about to be finished painting and I asked if the rest of the pedicure is no longer included. She tried to say something about my feet being itchy (not sure what that meant, definitely didn't have itchy feet) and then started DRY grating my feet and heels. It was so painful that I'm having trouble walking in my shoes now after we left. I didn't get lotion or anything afterward to help with the discomfort. She removed the polish after grating and said she wanted to re do it so she can rinse my feet, I tried to express how painful it was and to not bother taking the polish off so we could just leave. She did it anyway, quickly rinsed my feet and started polishing again. The polish looks like I did it myself. I went to the front and very clearly said the experience was terrible, and that I don't believe I should have to pay for this (skipped several steps that they did not skip on any customers around me.) The pedicure services were not rendered as they should be, they skipped most of the pedicure! They started to gaslight me saying that I was complaining it was rushed and offered $10 off. The crazy part is, the man that did my friend's pedicure (she got the hot stones, grating, warm towel, all the steps) seemed to be the manager. He was next to us the whole time, and still made me pay and accused me of saying it was rushed. I didn't want to be there for one more moment so I paid because I felt forced. Please be cautious about going to Top Ten! They will make you feel like you lied about the terrible service, and you'll be forced to pay for it anyway. I'm concerned about infection and cleanliness too after the experience that I had. read more

I'm honestly so disappointed. I thought due to the regular pricing I'd get average nails however I was clearly wrong. These workers were disrespectful and not considerate. They took my friend and I in and out as soon as they could my dip took around 10-20 minutes with no work done in my cuticles or hand lotion. They didn't even inform me that the color I would be using was not a white as the photo shown. I am extremely in pleased and urge you to not go here if you want a decent quality experience for an average price. read more

Rushed, rushed, rushed - in and out. The nail tech (bright yellow blazer) filed the hell out of my nails and fingers in such a rush - my fingers and nails are killing me and cut me with the cuticle clipper - bleeding. No washing of the hands - just threw on 2 top coats while the nail dust was still all over my hands - then 2 mins later put on globs of oil. She could tell I was not happy - so then she threw on globs of hand cream and rubbed it all together and said I was all set. I was a slimy dusty mess. Could not wait to get home - wash my hands - look at the poor nail job that you can tell it is going to lift in a week - too thick and now I have neosporin on my nails hoping not to get an infection. This was my first time here, I don't live around the area. I didn't even realized they closed at 7 and I walked in at 7 looking for a polish change and they took me right in. There were only two people working. The owner, who was finishing up someone else, and a younger girl who did my nails immediately. The girl who did my nails was so good at doing nails I don't think I've ever been more satisfied. She did it fairly quickly but my nails came out absolutely perfect. I have been a loyal customer of Top Ten Nails for 5 years. Jenny and Andy are welcoming people and are always interested in getting to know their customers. The salon is VERY clean, has a relaxing atmosphere, and does not have a strong odor from polish like most salons I have previously tried. Top Ten Nails has a wide variety of shades for both shellac and lacquer polishes. The staff is accommodating and the prices are great, as I've never seen anywhere else that will do a shellac manicure for $25! The best part is the shellac lasts me about 3 weeks because of their proper technique of putting it on and taking it off so that it doesn't do any harm to my nails. My daughter and my pedicures were average ... had French mani & full set of acrylics ... Jenny recommended the white tips (never got those before) ... Now I know why!!! Okay, so Jenny and her husband might be great, but the other employees? During a recent visit I was in the middle of a pedicure when the technician just got up and left. I assumed she was getting something and then realized that a walk-in needing an eyebrow wax was being helped. Really? Just got up in the middle of a pedicure to take care of a wax? I have been going to this salon for about 3 months. I always get a Shellac manicure. On the plus, the salon is clean, quiet and pretty relaxing for a nail salon. Jenny the owner is friendly. I always see Yen or (Yan?) and her manicures come out great. I try to stay with her as I have been disappointed in the other manicurists work. Only thing I would say as a negative is they dont take the polish off using the "Shellac" method. The colors could also use some updating...I feel like I have gone through them all! read more

I had been a very, very happy client of Jenny's for more than 10 years when a very unfortunate experience with a gift certificate purchase turned me off of this salon. I purchased 8 (!!!!) mani/pedi gift certificates for myself and a group of girlfriends for a post-Christmas ladies night out-a $280 purchase. Unfortunately in the midst of gift unwrapping one of the 8 gift certificates was lost. I immediately brought the misplaced certificate to Jenny's attention when arriving at the salon-assuming that her records would show that I had indeed purchased the certificate (with the 7 others) and the pre-paid mani/pedi would be honored. How wrong I was! Jenny refused to honor the lost gift certificate, even though her records clearly showed that I had purchased 8 certificates all together and the other 7 clearly were being redeemed and the numbering on the certificates showed that one in the middle was missing. I would have understood her refusal had I been a first time customer, or if it was a single certificate. However, being a long time customer who frequently purchased gift certificates and brought many new clients in who became regulars. I shelled out the additional $35 for the misplaced gift certificate, but the very off putting action on her part that has led me to find a new salon and recommend that my friends do the same-simply a bad business practice in a town with 5 nail salons offering services at the same prices. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! I went in to get a simple shellac polish change. I had a little shellac left on my nails so the guy proceeded to file it off my nails - he did not use any type of liquid and wrap them in foil. The filing hurt really bad. It started burning and then he SLICED MY NAIL IN HALF and it started bleeding (down where your skin is - where a nail is not supposed to break). He didn't say sorry he just threw some glue on it and proceeded to paint them. He didn't even file my nails or anything. He then proceeded to charge me full price, even when I said "you sliced my nail in half and I'm bleeding, you want me to pay full price?" (Which was $18 - they do it for $15 down the street at Danvers nails)The owner was sitting right there and did nothing. It is now a week later and my shellac manicure is peeling off..... why did I pay $18 for a manicure that lasted a week? I'm a 26 year old girl who gets her nails done every 2 weeks or so, I went here for a quick polish change during my break because I was in a rush. It was the worst experience ever and I will NEVER go back. They should be ashamed of the service they provide. read more

Was a customer for 2 years - going every 2 weeks - last visit horrible - had the male manicurist - nails came out horrible. I told the owner that I did not want nails done by him - she advised I should have requested somebody at time of appointment. She told me she could not do my nails because she had another appointment - off i went to the male manicurist - owner went off to back room. 45 minutes later after the worst manicure I have ever received - owner 's appointment still had not arrived. Worst nail salon I've ever been to. I get gel manicures regularly and I was looking for somewhere close to work and saw that this place had pretty good reviews.... I can't figure out how.. my manicure took about 25 minutes (never had such a fast one in my life. We had an appointment for 3 of us, they took us 15 minutes late and staggered us. Mine was an absolute mess, none of my nails were the same length or shape, and I had nail polish all over my fingers. The coats were also completely uneven. I had to have her fix a few nails and quite frankly, a 6 year old would have done a better job. One of the other girls I was with had one later shape her nails then get up and walk away, when she asked what was going on the lady said "oh I don't do the polish." We then waited another 20 minutes for a nail tech 'who does the polish' to paint her nails. This was easily the worst nail salon experience I have ever had. It took about 2 hours until the 3 of us (mind you with appointments at the same time) to be done. Completely ruined our plans for the remainder of the day and will need to go to my regular place to have my nails fixed. So disappointed. Definitely do not recommend. read more

I really don't understand the hype. I went here after reading rave reviews for acrylics. A guy did my nails and they came out horrible... They were uneven, extremely thick, crooked and poorly painted. Nothing upsets me more than taking the risk of destroying my nails with a full set and having them come out worse then when I went in. When I went to get a fill at another salon they demanded to know who did my nails and were horrified w/ the "craftsmanship". Man do I have a lot to say about this place. My friend and I went to get a simple nail painting with a design and they couldn't manage that. They missed the edges of my fingers while they were painting and then missed parts with the top coat. Also they smudged my nails and accidentally got silver on my blue and did not even fix it. Not to mention that some of the staff are very rude and instead of telling me what to do with my hand she continued to literally flick it around the place. They rushed so much when there was nobody in there except me and the person I brought. Then, one of the staff got up in the middle of painting my friends nails and went out to smoke. This manicure should not have coast $15 when I could have did this for myself for free. I will not be going back. Do not go! The male employee was awful. I had gel acrylics and wanted a shellac manicure. He ripped the acrylics off, causing one of my nails to crack and break. He proceeded to shellac my nail with the nail completely broken and said the shellac would cover the jagged shapped nail! After 2 days I had 3 of my nails to crack and chip! Also I had a pedicure. When I sat in the chair the water was already filled but it had stuff floating in the water with an oil like slick, GROSS! I told the employee and she immediately emptied the water and cleaned out the tub. She was actually good but the male ruined it--do NOT go! My friend and I went here for a pedicure on Sunday. We were the only two in the salon and were very disappointed with the service. My feet were in the pedicure tub for 6 minutes (I timed it!) and there was next to no scrubbing. My friend's feet were in the tub for a little longer but again no scrubbing and barely any filing/shaping. We were going to get full sets as well but were so disappointed we decided against it. I am not the kind of person to complain about anything but I politely said at the end of the service we were expecting the pedicure to be a little longer and more scrubbing. The owner simply said it was 25-30 minutes and we could have paid more for a longer pedicure. My friend and I left and called back a few minutes later to again say how disappointed we were and we would like our money back. The owner again said it was 30 minutes and that they do not give money back after a service. We explained that the pedicure was certainly not 30 minutes and we would not be returning. The owner said ok that's fine and hung up. As two women who work in a customer service field, we were offended that there was not even an attempt to appease us or give us any reason to come back. What a horrible fill I received at Top Ten last week. A few nails had fallen off and so I needed a repair as well. Well, not only were these nails applied crookedly but they didn't even cover my entire natural nail! When I expressed my concern, I was ignored by Andy which was the first of many problems to follow. When it came time to paint, he tried half heartedly to open the bottle. After his first unenthusiastic attempt, he told me (rudely) to "pick another color" I told him I rather not and it was only at that point that he slowly got up and "managed" to open it. When he finished painting and told me to go dry, I was amazed at how horrible they looked. I had to go through each one to show him what needed to be fixed. Not something you should ever have to do. Once that was kind of fixed, I went to dry and noticed yet another problem. The remnants of the filing from the fill were a stuck underneath the nails! I had to address this as well and Andy barely acknowledged or fixed the problem. Instead he told me "i didnt tell him." The overall lack of caring and pride in doing a nice job after a pricey visit was just unacceptable. Not even one apology just a serious attitude. Now I know why they are always empty! Went here over the summer to treat myself, my mother and my daughter. Everything was very rushed. I was reprimanded for not bringing open toe sandals for my daughter who is 4. I did bring a sandal of sorts but they weren't open toe. (She's 4! I know she's going to mess up her toenail polish. I'm not concerned!) My mother was only getting a manicure and they used shellac on her nails which she didn't ask for (but they make more money on that) She presented the guy with a regular polish and she was fine with that but ended up using shellac and charging me more money. I got a manicure and pedicure. I was also reprimanded for going so long in between pedicures but I'm a single mother and don't always have the time or money to treat myself. My fingernails started chipping the day after they were done and my toenails were rushed and not properly painted. The only good thing I will say is that the prices were reasonable. read more
