We ordered quite a bit of food (garlic Parmesan wings, luke warm)(fries, delicious second time around) (burger,ok) (fried mac balls, amazing) and more drinks at this point, however it took a very very long time for our food to come so they comped us roughly 50%. This was our first time at Topgolf, and we had such a great experience! It was so much fun! We reserved our bay a week before our visit. Upon arrival, we checked in a the front desk and were escorted to our bay. A young lady was waiting for us. She provided guidance on how to use the monitors and play. Our bay was huge--we had a large comfy couch. We started off with an hour of playtime. We were having so much fun that we added 30 minutes. I like how you can add time without leaving your bay. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. We ordered drinks and fries. The drinks were good, and the fries were delicious. COVID precautions are followed. The employees had on masks. Not the best top golf I have been too but it wasn't bad. Occasionally the system didn't register the golf ball correctly and after hitting it 200+ yards it showed up as 2 yards. Which was annoying. My waitress Alivia P, was NOT doing her job correctly the time we went it was not crowded. One of my party members never got their food. Waitress also never gave us refills when we asked first, we had to repeatedly ask to get drinks and eventually she just took my cup and walked off with an attitude. At 9:31pm my friend went to the bathroom and I waived to the bar tender and asked for his attention to order food and another drink. He waived back at me and swished off and then when my friend came back one bartender tried to serve him but I was already over the establishment. Topgolf had been on list of places to go in Charlotte for quite some time and I finally got the chance to go recently with my family. This place is massive and well laid out and above all it is clean and organized. I didn't have high expectations of Topgolf before going because I felt it was a high end driving range to have fun. I do recommend making reservations because the first time we went, we had to wait about 30 minutes so I learned my lesson. If you decide to go, just remember that you will spend a lot of money for overpriced food that is mediocre and on our occasions, the service was slow. So I recommend that you eat before going. What I liked most about Topgolf was the bay seating which was very comfortable and allowed us to relax and have fun. When it comes to the driving range experience itself, it's just like any other driving range where you hit the golf ball as hard as you can or hit targets to make it more challenging. Overall, all we had a great time and we will continue to back but we will make sure to eat beforehand as to not add about $70 more to a bill that can already be expensive. I do recommend Topgolf for family outings, just to have fun or just take you frustrations out of golf balls. read more

We have been to this location many times. Right now, there are plastic dividers between the bays for social distancing (not a problem, just mentioning). When we went the first floor was closed. We don't like the first floor, so this was fine by us! 95% of the time, this location is pretty clean. I love the fried Mac and cheese. Did not like the Buffalo chicken dip, but my sister did! I've had alcohol here before, didn't like the margs, but can't go wrong with a cold beer. Overall, we like this location. Had a fun 1st experience but I don't know how many times I will ever return. I'm also not a big golfer but enjoyed the game end of it all. Definitely a fun experience playing the game and learning to hit the ball well by towards end of games. I would definitely suggest employing more employees on the service side of it all. It was real easy and simple to maneuver through the place. They set us up in a bay and gave us instructions on how to keep score and how to swing. What a fun way to spend an afternoon! We had a blast spending three hours here getting into the "swing" of things at Topgolf Charlotte. I haven't been here since the pandemic and I was impressed with the social distancing they had in place, following the mask mandates and installing plexiglass between each bay. What really was the icing on the cake is that they're extending 10% for all healthcare professionals for game play and additional benefits through end of April. They had heaters available which was nice being in the shade that kept us toasty on our outdoor couch. We ordered some bar food and apps and I think the thing to keep in mind here is that you're coming for the golf, not the food. Golf was a 5 for me, food was a 3. I recommend grabbing lunch before or if you just want some basic bar food snacks, this menu will suffice. Tons of drinks to fit your fancy at reasonable prices from beers to wine to margaritas and pitchers. Ranging from $5-$15 on average. They have a bunch of different games you can try here that keeps it interesting. You can work on your swing or compete against your family and friends in a variety of different options. The technology behind the ball tracking is really cool seeing how far you hit it and the points are addicting! I also love how they had a bunch of different clubs to try from a driver to an iron wedge to a putter and so on. $5 lifetime membership charge on arrival. It's $27/hour open-12pm, $37/hour 12pm-5pm and $47/hour 5pm-close. We walked in with no reservations at 2pm on a Monday and had no problem getting a spot. You're also able to extend your time easily which was at a bit of a discount, so that may be the strategy if you're looking to do this in the most cost effective way. I went to Drive Shaft in Raleigh and the experience was way better. They don't even have enough seating at each bay. It's so difficult to get a job here but clearly they didn't pick the right ones... the customer service for a $500 bill (100 tip) was so awful. All around, not just our server. The seating was so uncomfortable. Only a few of them have adequate heating and seating (driveshaft is way cheaper and heated couches). Great concept, there are none of these places in So Cal. So, to best describe it is like a bowling activity but with golf. You do the driving range activity over and over. The food was good, it was a company organized event so I am not sure how the rest of the food was. They do offer a variety of appetizers and bar food, burgers and so on. It is fun for family and friends to experience golf if they have never done it and it is a pretty popular activity in Charlotte NC. After trying to come here the day after a holiday and being turned down as it was packed.. I was pleasantly surprised at how much fun I had the second time around. It helps to sign up on the app for $4.. it is mandatory to sign up either in person or online.. and once you do.. you're a lifetime member. Pricing varies on time of day. $25/hr per bay up til noon and up to $45/hr at night time.. so split that between a group of up to 6 people and it's not too expensive. My group of 4 stopped in on a Friday and had a short 15 minute wait for our bay in the 3rd flood. Everything runs smoothly here.. everything is tracked and scored for you.. even recorded in the app you signed up on. Top golf offers food from breakfast, lunch, dinner, and drinks.. all fairly priced. I tried the jalapeño cheese fries which were delicious. Overall a great experience. Woo Topgolf! Finally got to see what everyone was talking about and took my office... yes, I'm the most senior person in the office now, for an outing. Staff was super-friendly and this was before the Christmas/Holiday season so there were a bunch of businesses doing their holiday parties here the night we chose to go. It was Wednesday afternoon.... we were coming from Uptown so I-77 traffic during rush hour was horrible, but upon arriving, it was like coming up from an oasis.... I was probably just happy to get out of the car by then. It was cold, but the bay we were assigned (like all the bays) have heaters that were on timers... the server showed us how to use them (**important tip**) and we were good for the rest of our stay... I even had to shed some layers after we did a little "speed" round of hitting. Menu was pretty extensive and our server kept checking on drinks and food. I ended up getting the spinach salad (added chicken) and also order appetizers for the booth. Chips and beer cheese were solid and the wings, though messy, were great as well. Staff also gave us a run through of how the set-up works and safety about where to stand... Standard game time of an hour cost approx. $52 or so and there was a cost per player which I don't recall. You are allied a max of 8 people to sit in any géo en area with up to 6 players that can participate in a game. After the hour is completed you can extend the game for an added fee. For efficiencies to play it's best for the players to be ready when their turn to putt comes up. Each player will be allotted a max number of puts before you have to re-up for a new game.
