My girlfriend and I decided to eat at Twin Peaks and overall had a really good experience. The atmosphere is exactly what you'd expect from a sports lodge--tons of TVs everywhere so you can catch every game, but with that rustic outdoor theme too. Mounted game fish, moose, and deer heads give it that hunting-lodge vibe, which actually makes it a fun place to hang out and watch sports. We started with the Billionaire Bacon appetizer--six slices of bacon described as thick-cut, hickory-smoked and candied with brown sugar, red chile flakes, black pepper, smoked paprika, and cayenne. The flavor description was accurate, but the bacon itself really wasn't thick-cut and could've been much crispier. For the price, I expected better. If it had been thicker and crispy, it might've been worth it, but I probably won't order that again. My girlfriend ordered the Southwest Salad, and that dish absolutely delivered. It was a heaping portion topped with perfectly cooked sliced sirloin steak and shrimp, plus mixed greens, carrots, pico de gallo, roasted corn, black beans, pepper jack, and a jalapeño honey vinaigrette. She absolutely loved it. She also got a side of coleslaw, which was surprisingly delicious and a great addition to the meal. She paired everything with the Dirty Blonde beer, which definitely made up for the disappointing appetizer. I went with the naked garlic Parmesan wings and a side Caesar salad. Both were delicious. The wings were fried perfectly--crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside--and the flavor was spot on. I was very satisfied with them. Service was great as well. We actually had two servers because one was in training, and both of them were attentive, friendly, and made sure we were taken care of throughout the meal. Overall, I'd rate our experience a 4.5 out of 5. The food, drinks, service, and atmosphere were all really good, and we had a fun time. If not for the underwhelming Billionaire Bacon, this would've easily been a full 5. We'll definitely be back--just skipping that appetizer next time. read more

While the server was nice; it took almost an hour to get our food and it was incorrect. Asked for water and never got it although she brought water to the table next to us. Others got their appetizers at 2 tables while we were still waiting. Wings were dry and while I ordered all flats, there were 4. The beer was cold but the iced tea was not. We've been regular customers at this Twin Peaks for a long time, which is why tonight's experience was so disappointing. Our group spent the evening ordering drinks, food, and appetizers, including 24 boneless wings (Nashville Hot and Thai Chili) with sweet potato fries. When the wings arrived, it was obvious the "Thai Chili" wings weren't Thai Chili. We politely brought it to our server's attention, and she admitted she had entered the wrong order. A few minutes later, the wings were brought back, but instead of preparing a fresh order, it was obvious the same wings had simply been re-tossed in Thai Chili sauce. The original sweet sauce was still there, making the wings overly sweet and inedible. We told our server not to remake them and simply asked to cancel the Thai Chili wings because we were perfectly happy with the Nashville Hot wings and sweet potato fries. Instead, while we were still eating, the server walked over without saying a single word and took our entire plate, including the Nashville Hot wings and sweet potato fries that we were actively eating. She never asked if we were finished, never explained what she was doing, and never apologized. That was, without question, the most disrespectful part of the entire experience. When we spoke with the manager, he apologized and told us he would replace the entire 24-wing order. In the end, the replacement wings never came, and we didn't even bother asking about them because that was never the point. We weren't looking for free food or compensation. We stayed, continued ordering more drinks and food, and simply wanted to enjoy the rest of our evening. When customers are spending hundreds of dollars on food and drinks, they expect not only correctly prepared meals but also respectful and professional service. Unfortunately, the experience continued. When it was time to pay, we handed the server two credit cards because we wanted the bill split. Instead, she charged the entire amount to one card. When we politely asked about it, she responded with an attitude, refused to address the mistake, and walked away from our table. The manager later explained that she was having a rough night. We understand that everyone can have difficult days, but having a rough night is not an excuse to repeatedly treat paying customers disrespectfully. As customers, we're still paying the full bill regardless of how someone's shift is going. We don't receive a discount because our server is having a bad day, so we shouldn't be expected to accept poor service because of it. Professionalism and respect should be the standard for every customer. We've always enjoyed coming to this Twin Peaks because we've consistently had good experiences in the past. That's exactly why tonight stood out for all the wrong reasons. This wasn't about one incorrect order of wings or getting free food, it was about how the entire situation was handled. The wrong order was entered, the food wasn't properly remade, our meal was taken away while we were still eating without a single word, our payment instructions were ignored, and we were repeatedly met with rudeness instead of professionalism. This was my first time visiting the Twin Peaks sports bar & restaurant. I meet a couple of friends for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. This place was quite large with lots of indoor and outdoor seating. There was regular tables, booths and high tables as well as a large bar you can sit at. The decor gave hunter/lumberjack feels with prop axe's on tables and mounted animals on the walls. Large TV's were everywhere showing all types of sports from softball, cornhole, extreme frisbee and the more common sports. We were greeted warmly and promptly were lead to a table. Looking at every table, they all had two dishes and two sets of utensils. We had three people eating. A third plate and set of utensils was never given to us. Also there are no menus. There was a sticker on the table with a QR code you could scan to get the menu but that was never pointed out to us. Our server came promptly and we were able to get our drinks quickly while we were trying to figure out the menu. Our server was kind of nice to realize we were having issues with the app bringing up the menu so she gave us time to look it over while coming back often to check on us. Eventually we had decided what we wanted. I ordered the Billionaire's Bacon for an appetizer. The Bacon was a bit undercooked to my liking. It was a little chewy. But the sweet and spicy taste was very good. My friend ordered the Brisket Chili and downed it very fast. They really enjoyed it. For our entrée's I ordered the Beer Battered Fish n Chips, my two friends both ordered the Philly Cheesesteak minus the mushrooms. We all got the seasoned french fries. Their cheesesteaks came large and correctly made. My one friend was only able to finish half of it and took the rest home for lunch tomorrow. My Fish n Chips came with four pieces of hot and yummy Cod. It was white and flakey and the batter was light but crunchy. The seasoned fries were cooked perfectly and the seasonsing reminded me of Old Bay. And there was plenty of them too! Our server refreshed our drinks when we were getting low and checked on us several times to make sure everything tasted good and if we needed anything else. We split the bill and we were just handed a paper receipt. I was surprised there was no little folder that it was put in. Overall we had a good experience. The food was good, the service was good. For a place that has signs showing you how cold the beer fridge is you would think they would have something on the table showing you their frosty mugs of beer. A hand held menu is so much better but as long as you know what you want it's a nice place. Come football season I am thinking this is gonna be a great spot to watch games. Looked at the menu with quite a few choices of drinks and food. Wasn't super hungry so went with the Street Corn Salad. It's a filling salad with grilled chicken, iceberg charred corn lentils, billionaires bacon, roasted jalapeos, parmesan pico de gallo, green onions, cilantro tortilla strips, and lime vinaigrette dressing. Football season is here. And Twin Peaks is the place to be. I can see at the bar and see all four games at once. It's too expensive to try to get NFL channel. Most of the time, food is really good. The Mom's pot roast was ok. But I never have a dish that was awful. Drinks are fairly priced and customer services are good. Most ppl aka guys would say it's nice to watch sport and have some eye candies serving them food. So they won't complains I'm also find with that. I usually opted to sit at the bar. I have been here several time to grab a bite to eat before heading to Carowinds or to just hang out afterward. Welcoming staff and the food is pretty good. Sometimes service can be on the slower side at the bar if it's busy but I'm never in a rush when I go. It's very clean inside and there's plenty of seating so it never feels overly crowded. Plenty of parking outside is always a plus. Stop by for a meal instead of spending all of your money on Carowinds food. Much better deal and relaxing atmosphere! read more

It was a beer that was on the menu and I said it by name. So why 3 stars and not 1? Well, the food was absolutely F'in delicious. The Thai Sticky Ribs were so great. It was super tender, slow roasted then tossed in the deep fryer for crispiness, then tossed in a delicious Thai inspired sauce and sesame seeds. Great Appetizer! The moist towelette provided was bone dry, but a quick trip to the restroom solved that problem For my meal, I ordered the Lobster Mac N Cheese and there were pretty big chunks of lobster in it. It also had corn in it which I thought was odd, but it didn't ruin the dish. I was impressed by the amount of lobster and the richness of the dish! If you're South of Charlotte, think about heading over the border to SC to give this a try. Unfortunately this experience was sub par and less than stellar. Our waitress took 30 minutes to come and introduce herself and take over from the previous server. Her attitude was sour and customer service at close out was awful. Claims were made against other customers that could be easily refuted by viewing cameras. Managers had to be involved to avoid any additional issues but that was not communicated across the staff so further issues arose concerning bills being settled. The whole atmosphere and experience was off putting and a double thumbs down. I travel for work so I eat out often. This place makes a great steak and the service is usually good. Not always. I left a few minutes ago after receiving the worst service I've ever gotten there. I sat down at the bar and ordered a non-alcoholic beverage with every intention of ordering my usual steak and asparagus and was asked to provide a credit card before Charlotte would even serve my drink. Then she tossed a menu on the bar and the two servers (Charlotte and No Name Tag) proceeded to ignore me and never asked if I wanted food. When she finally did come around, she asked if I wanted another drink even though I had barely touched the one I had. I paid for my drink and left. No tip. It's a shame too because the last time I was there I got an email from my credit card company asking if I meant to leave a 38% tip. I tip well when I receive good service, when I don't ... I tell everyone I know. So now I'm telling you. The food has always been good every time I've eaten there but the service is hit or miss, and their policy of collecting credit cards before someone dines is abominable. I love Stella but don't drink it unless it's served in a proper Stella chalice. My problem with the service, the bartenders were all over the male customers and besides checking on me a couple times I was basically ignored. Women tip too & if they had been more attentive I would have ordered another beer & probably a shot. That would have been more revenue for the restaurant and more tip for them. read more

The servers and bartenders were young and thin wearing tight clothes and looked like teen girls with push up bras. I guess that's the draw, right? Let the old guys pretend they are still attractive. They aren't. The regular fries were good. The sweet potato fries were over cooked. The food was as cheaply made as it could be which is understandable in the current economic environment. I tried the brisket burger which is a dry patty with a thin layer of watered down brisket on top. That went back. Then I tried the "smoked and grilled wings." I've both smoked and grilled wings and they were neither. That went back. My friend had the fish and chips which looked ok.
