Food service was amazing. when we got here we were told and hour and a half wait. ok cool, all good. so we sit down and order food no more than 20 mins later I get a text saying be here in 15 mins to get your bay or text no for 30 more mins. well seeing as we were told an hour and a half wait and we just ordered food I texted no for 30 more mins. Fast forward it's been about 25 mins. got our food ate and headed to the front. I went to check in and they said "your bay will be ready in an hour" uhm what?! the text I just got said 30 more mins. they got an attitude with me and said "no that means you opted out of your spot and you get 30 more mins until we take you off the waitlist. When you said you needed 30 more mins you got moved down to the bottom of the wait list". what a joke! send out a text stating that!!! so now here we are almost 2 hours in waiting with our kids. if they weren't so rude and explained it nicely to me instead of acting like Aholes then I might be a little less upset. read more

Very fun entertainment the entire family can enjoy at Top Golf. This place can get busy as it was when I went. I tried to be the crowd by going at 4pm on a Saturday, but I was wrong. We had a 45 min wait for a booth. The wait was comfort as there were lots of areas to hangout until the booth was ready. But in addition to the very fun variety of golf games, there is excellent food, and pool tables in Top Golf. We had a blast! I will definitely be back and bringing friends and family. read more

Topgolf is a huge 3 story driving range. You can drive your golf balls off any level. They have multiple bays available. If you come in the evening, expect a long wait time. We came around noon on Saturday and were able to get into a bay immediately. They have made a lot of changes. You do have to get a lifetime membership card, which is $5. In the past, if you lost this, you had to pay to replace it, but not anymore! That's nice! The prices have changed a bit, and increased. They have 3 different price ranges, depending on the time of day. Parking lot is huge, and they do have a little shuttle that can pick you up at your car to take you to the entrance. There is a bar inside, pool tables, video games, TVs, lots to do! The food is great quality!! Check out the menu! I wouldn't come here if you were wanting to practice your swing, but with a group of friends, its a fun thing to do. Hang out, drink, eat and be merry! read more

This place exceeded my expectations. I went at the suggestion of a colleague and it was worth it. The employees are so hospitable and friendly, I was greeted as soon as I arrived and thanked when I left after a 2.5 hour visit on a Friday before Noon. It sort of has a 54th Street Grill or Main Event vibe to it. You could just come here for food and drinks and have a nice time. My only participation in golf in any way was in middle school when I was in a golf class so do not worry about not knowing about golf because this place is more than that. The food is priced right for the quality and convenience. I definitely will come again. I think it is a very enjoyable place for mature adults, including those that don't want to play but just sit and enjoy the company of friends. read more

I showed up today with 3 teenagers, 2 adults and 2 kids (9&5), keep in mind the kids were not going to play and we told them that. We asked for one bay considering that the kids were NOT going to play but because we had 7 people they said we HAD to have 2 bays. 5 minute wait for 1 bay or 45 minute wait because we had a 5 year old with us. It would be nice if people could use some common sense here and try to work with your customers then to work against your customers. I was a VIP member here at one time and would highly suggest spending your money at the local driving ranges where they actually care about their customers!!! Warning: Do not make a reservation unless you want to pay money for nothing. Making a reservation, just like anyone would when going to a restuarnt, spa, shooting range etc, should not be charged a fee just to reserve a bay/spot whatever. I have never encountered a business who charges a fee for a reservation without appling said fee back to services or goods provided. We lost $54 for not reading the fine print. I can understand loosing that amount if we had canceled or not shown up, but Not even the most expensive brazilian wax or steakhouse here in Texas charges a fee for reservation, just saying. Yes, we could have just showed up there and waited like everyone else, but too late now (fine print). No wonder why there were lots of people and even kids at the bar!! I was not impressed with the food. I was looking really forward to it, but it was just ok. Service was ok, considering all that is going on. People rant and rave about this place, but I also don't play golf and don't really care to hit any balls haha. So I'm speaking solely for the food. It was packed when I went and there are tons of families and stuff. If the weather is perfect, then it's great for that. I just didn't love it! Went with coworkers for a few bday celebrations. Also my Moscow mule came in a glass and it was the second worst one I've ever had hahaha... Still Golden was the first worst. I would've given them more stars if it didn't seem like they were trying to squeeze money out of you from every single experience. We paid $50 to make a reservation. $45 per hour (we stayed for 2). An additional $5 per person to register. Keep note that the $50 reservation charge doesn't even go towards food or the hours you end up paying. That being said, I had so much fun here. Coming with a group of amigas who have never touched a golf club, we still enjoyed strutting and putting those balls into deep into those holes. Things got really lit when the sun set and the range lit up. It got SUPER LIT when the techno music came on and the lights were dancing with the music. The food was good! I recommend getting the nachos & wings from their sharable menu. Though if you can't stand the spice, I recommend steering clear from their mango wings. The buffalo & asian were delish. Their drinks were really good too. The flat bread / pizza was alright, but somewhat mediocre. Topgolf is definitely a fun event that can cater to a broad range of demographic from no experience to seasoned player. Visited the SA location on 14Feb15 at around 930am. I've been to the Alexandria location before and the SA parking immediately made me like it more. For anyone who's been to the Alexandria location, you know what I'm talking about regarding parking and extreme lack of availability. The facility is very modern and elevated my already positive mindset towards the brand. I got to the top of the stairs and there was a line from the members' desk outside the sliding the glass doors. A worker with an iPad asked me if I had a membership, which I told him I didn't have the card, but did sign up online. So he took me to a kiosk and I was squared away. Had there not been two people in front of me, I'd probably have been at a bay within 10 minutes of my arrival. Still, 20 minutes was no big deal for getting everything set-up. Staff was super nice, got my cousin a set of left-handed clubs and we were at the bay. Waitress was super nice and routinely checked up on us. Two major things I really enjoyed from the start were that ball dispensers at every bay and rental clubs at every bay. Carrying buckets of balls is pretty annoying. Everyone seemed to be in a really good mood for the place being packed. I didn't order an alcoholic drink, but my cousin did and said it's the best bloody mary she's ever had. I can't vouch for than, but I can for the crab cake eggs benedict. Chucky crab meat, eggs made just right and the breakfast potatoes were killer. Great way to spend 2 hours of my morning, without a doubt. Me and my boyfriend went on Tuesday to take advantage of their 1/2 off deal so we decided to head over when they opened to do a brunch and golf type thing. When I looked up the menu I was a little disappointed the food I've seen on here wasn't on the menu. I was really looking forward to the chicken and waffles with my mimosas the service was ok. We ended up staying for a good while and racked up a pretty good bill, but what really sucked was our service. Our waitress checked in on us about once an hour. Luckily we had pitchers so it lasted us a while, but even after ordering our drinks it took a bit to get them. Mind you, this was during the morning and early afternoon so they weren't as busy as I've seen them, especially at night. There was a point we even thought we got cut off not that we were plastered, we were actually fine, it just took our waitress a while to come back. Their chips and queso was surprisingly super good! Absolutely livid with my situation. I reserved a VIP bay and accidentally left my debit card in the black booklet the host gave us to provide our form of payment. I realized this when I got home. So I called Top Golf's phone number provide on their website, Facebook, and google maps. 210-202-2694 I was greeted with an programmed automatic answering machine. I pressed "7" to speak with an associate. Then got a message saying "no support agents are available to take your call. Please call back later." No one answered for the next hour. I drove back to Top Golf to retrieve my debit card and the place was so dead. All the "support agents" were clearly doing nothing and standing around taking with each other. Not one phone was ringing. (I called standing outside the front door to see what phone would ring). I talked to the manager to ask her why no one could call Top Golf to speak with someone. She said the number provide on the website is actually a number from their Dallas corporate office. I told her that doesn't not make sense because it was a 210 area code. I asked her what number would have to be called to speak with someone at Top Golf San Antonio. She said that number is not given to the public. BOTTOM LINE Apparently the public cannot call Top Golf San Antonio to speak to anyone. So if you have an emergency and need to speak with someone who works there, too bad. You can't get ahold of them. I honestly think some switch was turned on that forwarded calls to a stupid automatic message. I HATE hearing "press 1 for...press 2 for..." Thanks Top Golf for purposely ignoring calls. On another note, I recommend this place because it is still a fun environment for friends. My first experience at Top Golf was pretty great. The customer service is friendly and helpful. Time definitely goes by quickly here. This is a great place for a group of people or to bring your significant other. The price to pay isn't bad either, though I recommend going with a group for the cheapest price. We selected a time slot for an hour which was enough for six of us to have multiple turns. The only thing that was frustrating was the entrance to get in is hidden so it took a couple of times for me to find it, however I'll definitely be back. read more

We have lived in San Antonio for Almost a year and just tried Topgolf. We had the best time ever! It was so much fun especially being surrounded with our friends and family. The drinks were delicious and surprisingly the food was too! Always a good time here. Decent food, full drink menu, and plenty of bays to accommodate a hoard comfortably. Service has always been great and bays are well maintained and comfortable. Equipment is fairly well cared for given how much use they see and the golfing scoring has been more accurate than at other locations I've visited. I only wish they were slightly more affordable as it can get rather pricey fairly quick when you're having a good time. Tuesdays are 1/2 off though, so I try to capability on that savings as much as possible. Reserving a bay online is quick and painless and can also save u from having to endure a lengthy wait time, however if u do find yourself having to wait they offer both inside and outside bar seating in their porch with TVs to entertain you. They have always been great with my dog too and are considerate always bringing him his special water bowl as he sits on his thrown (aka their plush booth seating). From 9am to noon, the cost is $25 per hour. From noon to 5pm, the rate goes up to $35 per hour. Each bay can hold 6 players and offers an assortment of clubs in "female" and "male" length. Breakfast time of a weekday is my favorite. The Eggs Benedict has that perfect crunch from the muffin combined with the salty Canadian bacon, creamy Hollandaise sauce, and warm-soft egg. I would say that this place is pricier than the 2 dollar signs by its name. The place was fun even though I didn't have a clue what I was doing. The food was all really good too. I was a happy first time top-golfer, but I don't see myself returning anytime soon. I'd recommend you go at least once to try the nachos and learn if this is really your vibe. My husband and I took golf lesson here with Gregory Sohl. I never held a golf club in my life but needed lessons because of my new job. Networking and marketing stuff. He was patient and knew exactly how to talk to me. Walking in I felt intermediated and worried about looking stupid. Reservations were placed in advance with a $10 extra charge to avoid the wait. Upon arriving they could not find us a booth as they had them all booked and said "they couldn't find our reservation" In summary the 2 star is mostly for their inability to work with the customer and acknowledge their shortcomings.
