We are so elated to find Petvets Animal Hospital. Dr. Borey was on vacation and the vet that saw Blue was amazing and said he wants his own practice one day, however he told us he would charge double of what Dr. Borey charges. We love our animals and do what's necessary and go without if that was the case. We adore Dr. Borey and the staff for being so reasonable, empathetic, honest, caring and NO Up sale's that are not needed! Amazing , loving, clean Vetenarian pet hospital. I highly recommend Dr. Borey, Dr. on call, vet tech Amber. The receptionist are polite but very busy. "Thank you all so very much.! "

This is my last review that I'll be writing for San Dimas Animal Hospital because my last…read moreexperience with them was just so unfair, I can't fathom taking my other pet here. I had written a review a few months ago for the front staff authorizing charges to my account without my permission and since then, they've started going through the process of taking signatures for transactions, so I'm happy they used my review for better service. Again, Dr. Singh is amazing. Dr. Delgado kept insisting for the urinalysis to get any form of medication and the front staff really has to be more organized when it comes to discharging with medications. --- I am really sad how unfair it was that my pet's treatment got dismissed even when I had asked for some form of antibiotics. My pet, 20.5 years at the time, started urinating blood, so on Thursday, 2/12, I had brought him in hoping that he can get antibiotics for this UTI that he had. With symptoms of hematuria and consistent small amounts of urine, I hoped to get some form of antibiotics or medication to ease his discomfort. Unfortunately, since he wasn't able to hold in his urine, they weren't able to get enough for a urinalysis and they had sent him home and told me to contact them the next day if he's still urinating blood. My sister picked up my pet Thursday evening, so I feel like they were in a rush just to get out of there instead of ensuring that my sister went home with everything she was supposed to. Called them Friday morning and said he was still urinating blood, and they said to monitor him and if he's still urinating blood, to bring him Saturday for a urinalysis. I contacted them again Friday evening with photographs stating that he's still urinating blood and they said I can bring him in for a tech appointment Saturday morning. My brother brings in my pet Saturday (2/14) morning, and they comped the urinalysis which was nice. I had asked my brother if they sent him home with antibiotics but they said that they need the urinalysis results before prescribing anything and since they're closed on Sundays, they would contact me on Monday. I called them around 9AM on Monday (2/16), and they said that they got the urinalysis results but had to wait for the doctor to have time to talk about the results with me. By this time, my pet was not eating, drinking or walking. I know I should have taken him to the ER but given his age, I didn't want to stress him out and was hoping that he would be interested enough in food by the time they gave me the medication. The doctor ends up calling me around 2PM and stated that he did have some form of UTI (I knew this already..) and that he will be sent home with amoxicillin and that it would be available for pickup within the hour and that the gabapentin prescribed to him should help with the pain as well. I drive over to the hospital an hour later and the staff informs me that I will be picking up amoxicillin (antibiotics) and I inquire about the gabapentin (pain medication) that the doctor brought up during our phone call. The staff seemed confused and they then asked me "Oh, you didn't get it on Thursday?" Uh, no I didn't get it on Thursday. This is why I had inquired about it? I saw on my previous invoices that I had gotten charged for the Gabapentin on 2/12 and I'm really angered that my pet was in pain for 5 days. And even when I had my brother bring my pet in on that Saturday (2/14), that they couldn't just double check anything. I know it's partially my fault for not making sure, but I honestly thought that they had given my pet a gabapentin shot but to find out he was supposed to be sent home with the pain medication instead... it's just really flabbergasting. I gave my pet the gabapentin and hoped that it would help subside any pain my pet had so he can eat, but an hour passed.. then 2 hours passed.. and my pet unfortunately was declining.. He wasn't interested in eating his favorite treats (and the amoxicillin is supposed to be given with food), so I took him to ER and unfortunately, had to choose humane euthanasia due to the extent of how badly he declined. I'm so upset with how this was handled. I don't understand why my pet had to suffer his last few days of his life because he wasn't sent home with pain medication. I also don't understand why they couldn't just give me the amoxicillin even though it was a possibility that it may NOT have been a UTI but at least given it to me to make sure he didn't worsen. I know my previous review of the unauthorized CareCredit charges may have made me seem like a difficult client, but take it out on me, not on the care of my pet. I feel like he would still be here if I was just given the gabapentin on the correct day or the amoxicillin as a "just in case" prescription but he didn't get any despite me asking about the antibiotics and the last few days of his life was filled with discomfort and a veterinary hospital that kept dismissing my hopes for care for my pet.

One Star - Misguided, Money-Motivated, and Dismissive If I…read morecould give zero stars, I would. This animal hospital failed our puppy on multiple levels. We came in with specific concerns, but instead of truly listening, they pushed unnecessary X-rays and procedures. It turns out our dog was simply allergic to chicken--something we figured out ourselves later thanks to TikTok. No diagnostics, no curiosity from the staff--just a rush to charge for services that did nothing to help. To make matters worse, they told us our puppy needed surgery because his testicles weren't dropping, only for them to drop naturally much later. He was just a late bloomer, but their immediate suggestion was an invasive procedure without considering time or alternatives. When we declined vaccines because our puppy was clearly sick, the doctor's wife--who also works there--made a face and pushed for them anyway. Only after some back and forth did she change her tune and say, "Oh, we wouldn't vaccinate while he's sick." The inconsistency and lack of professionalism were alarming. This place feels money-driven, not animal-focused. We won't be returning and strongly suggest others seek out a more ethical and attentive vet who actually cares about pets, not just profits.

This hospital is clean and well maintained, everything looks and feels organized. Dr Han is the best veterinarian I have ever met as he is super friendly, truly caring, very knowledgeable, experienced and will take whatever time is necessary in order to answer all pet owners questions. Dr Han called me twice on my personal cell phone during the treatment period and after being given three medications simply to check on my dog's progress. Who does that ?? No one but Dr Han and that's the reason why everyone respects and admires this doctor. I am so glad that Healthy Paws Animal Hospital has become our number one animal care provider for our two Yorkies.

I don't usually leave reviews, but this one is long overdue…read more I've brought two of my previous cats here over the years. Despite some concerns, I continued coming back because I prefer consistency and didn't want to switch vets. However, my recent experiences with my current cat, Miso, have been extremely disappointing. Over multiple visits this year, I was told my cat needed to be medicated with gabapentin due to "aggression." When that didn't work, they prescribed trazodone. Even after administering both medications, I was told my cat was still "too aware," and they were only able to complete partial vaccinations (rabies and FVRCP). I specifically asked for the leukemia vaccine as well, but they declined and told me to come back another time to avoid further stress. At my visit on 04/10, I was then told my cat would require additional sedation via injection, increasing the cost from an estimated $90 to $220. Instead, I chose to go to another nearby veterinary clinic. Within less than 5 minutes, they were able to administer all necessary vaccines including the leukemia shot without any additional sedation. My cat is vocal, but he was handled efficiently and safely. Additionally, during one visit, two technicians openly admitted that they had previously had a cat escape through the roof. That raised serious concerns for me regarding their handling procedures and overall safety protocols. Based on my experience, this clinic appears to rely heavily on medication and upselling sedation rather than proper handling techniques. Cat owners should be cautious and consider getting a second opinion.

Grand Animal Hospital was offering a $200 off Dental Cleaning Special. For Grade 1 or 2, the price would be $696.75. For Grade 3 or 4, the price would be $797.75. This price included an exam, bloodwork, anesthesia, teeth scaling and polishing, pain injection, antibiotic injection, and three different medications to take home. He had been in a slow decline that suddenly turned rapid, and I knew we were at the end. What stood out most was the veterinarian's honesty. They checked his vitals, but we didn't pursue extensive diagnostics. Instead, he spoke candidly about what he was seeing--neurologically, Baxter was not himself and had clearly lost significant muscle mass. At his age, there was likely more going on than one treatable issue. The veterinarian could have easily recommended a long list of tests. Instead, he gave me real guidance. When I asked what he would do if it were his own dog, he told me he would choose euthanasia at this stage, explaining that "a day or a week too early is better than a day too late" to avoid unnecessary suffering. I had been struggling with this decision for a while, and that honesty helped me feel confident I was doing the right thing. It meant everything. Once I made the decision, the compassion from the staff was incredible. They handled everything with such care, dignity, and kindness. I've also been here before when Baxter was first diagnosed with heart failure, and had the same experience. The veterinarian literally told me it wasn't an emergency and that I could either proceed with treatment there or follow up with my regular vet the next day and save the cost of emergency care. That level of transparency really stuck with me. I'm truly grateful for this team and this office. If you're ever in a difficult situation with your pet, this is a place where you'll receive honest, compassionate care--not pressure to run unnecessary tests or take advantage of a vulnerable moment. Five stars, without hesitation.
