We went to Glendora Pet Care Center because the owner used to be on staff at La Verne Animal Hospital and we really thought she was an excellent doctor. Unfortunately, she doesn't work every day and the days we are able to bring our cats in, she does not work those days. The care our cat received was good. They couldn't give us a definitive answer to our cat's problem. They seem to have a high priority of selling food and other products. Also, there is no onsite emergency services. For these reasons we returned to La Verne Animal Hospital and they figured out what was wrong. Glendora Pet Care is a good place, just not for us. read more

Dr. Huang is hands down the most patient, compassionate, and knowledgeable veterinarian we've ever had. She always takes her time to explain my dogs condition in detail and never fails to follow up with a phone call to check on how they're recovering. The staff, including Heather, Autumn, and Bijal, are also amazing and will treat your fur babies with lots of love and care. I know that my dogs are always in good hands when I bring them to Glendora Pet Care Center. Unfortunately, one of my dogs crossed the Rainbow Bridge after being hit by a car. My other dog also crossed the Rainbow Bridge at 14 years old last week, and Dr. Huang gently helped him and made sure he was comfortable the whole time. We received a beautiful card with handwritten notes from all the staff and Dr. Huang a few days after and it was very touching and much appreciated. Through Dr. Huang's care, my dogs lived a long and comfortable life. I am truly so grateful to have found her to care for my dogs and will recommend all my family and friends to her. read more

Thankful and appreciative to have stumbled upon Glendora Pet Care. My dog Lucky had his first ever episode of Old Dog Syndrome and we were so worried about our baby. I took the time to research for Vets with a more holistic approach as apposed to the vets who just want to prescribe a bunch of medicines for every symptom. Dr. Huang and her staff are absolutely amazing and show every bit of compassion and care for your pet family. I went in and Dr Huang said acupuncture wasn't needed (what I thought he may need for the balance issues) since Lucky was on day 3 of his episode and already getting much better. I feel like any other Vet would have proposed drugs, and anything they could to get a buck out of you but not this office! The staff loved our pet and were coming out to greet him and let me know how handsome he was. I truly feel like I've finally found a compassionate and honest VET office. Our friends unfortunately have a older dog who had the same episode not shortly after our dog and their vet prescribed a bunch of medicine, said it was a "possible stroke" and they may have to put their dog down. This is what happens when vets just want you in an out of their office and want to diagnose the worst out of lack of knowledge, when a dog is still well aware of who he is. I was reading online this sometimes happens, when vets are unaware of the old dog syndrome and misdiagnose them. Old age comes with symptoms just like us humans get as we age and to hear you may have to put your dog down is heartbreaking. We recommended this VET to our friends for a 2nd opinion on their dog. One of the office staff Michelle also called us about a week later to check on Lucky and ask how he was doing. So sweet and much appreciated! I preface this by saying, I very rarely post on yelp. My dog had an ear hematoma and required medication. Plus side was we were able to get an appointment very quickly. Downside, it was on the weekend when I don't have childcare. There weren't any signs posted that children weren't allowed in the exam room, nor were we advised against bringing them in. Our family was taken all together to the room. Support staff were great. The second the vet walked in, she was immediately irritated that my children were there. They're toddlers but weren't bouncing off the walls or anything. When the vet was advising me of my options she had my undivided attention. Clearly bothered by their mere existence, despite it having no bearing on the appointment, she said "oh my. I don't know how you can do this!" Followed by an audible sigh. Odd I thought, but whatever. I just wanted to get my dog treated. Another minute passes, and she says the same thing again and makes the same annoyed sound. We were taken aback by how rude she was being. My husband took the kids and walked out because it was so uncomfortable. She then finishes telling me the treatment plan. She proceeds to tell me to go "switch" with my husband so she can tell him everything. I told her it was ok as I'm the primary caretaker and I'd just get the meds and be on my way. If you don't want children in the exam room, just say so from the get go. No need for the commentary. I won't be back. read more

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. I've been to M.A.S.H., AM emergency hospital of Pasadena and Highland Park animal hospital. HP animal hospital was my go-to, and I think it's a great place - but it's just too busy. I'd rather drive 27 minutes to go to this place. I have 5 cats, and anytime I see a serious issue - I always try to get it looked at asap. At an emergency clinic - it costs way too much money. Been there, done that. It can be thousands. At my local vet - the closest appointment is typically 2 weeks away. I COULD take my cat in there for a walk-in, but I truly don't feel like it's fair to my pet to make them sit in the car with me for hours, in hopes that he gets seen that day. Enter the Glendora Pet Care Center. The wow factor was high for me. I called on a Saturday. I was able to schedule an appointment for 9am, Monday morning. When I was there on Monday, I scheduled an appointment for... Thursday!!! Again, this is impossible at my usual vet. Now, as for the level of care, this place has all my faith. Staff is friendly, and the doctors are extremely thorough. My usual vet only ever talks to me for a minute or two. The doctors here are NOT in a rush, rather - they want to ensure that they give you all the information you need, and want to ensure that you understand it. Sound too good to be true? It's TRUE! I am truly convinced that the doctors here really do care about your pet. Now the price. As a dude who is the servant to 5 cats, the vet bills, the food bills, the litter bills - it's all a concern. THIS PLACE IS THE MOST AFFORDABLE VET I HAVE EVER BEEN TO - IN ANY STATE. Mind you, I've lived in NYC & L.A. mostly. It's utterly surreal to me to leave with a $115 vet bill. One of my cats previously had emergency surgery and really needed a follow up appointment. The other cat needed a general visit. The Drs here cared for both of my cats so wonderfully. They were both very thorough on the phone about my options and what I could do for them. Both of my cats ended up needing a dental procedure and the aftercare follow up was so great. For my dog's vaccinations the vet does not administer the vaccines. The technician assistants gives the vaccines, which is fine if they are able to do it properly. Out of 3 vaccines my dog had to receive, the assistants couldn't administer 2 vaccines fully. The oral vaccine, went on my dog's fur and on my hand rather than in my dog's mouth. I was holding my dog to help the assistant administer the vaccines, and the oral vaccine went on my dog's fur and my hands. Watching the assistant, who couldn't administer the oral vaccine, I offered to give the oral vaccine myself to my dog and I gave the remaining vaccine in the oral vial to my dog. As for the second vaccine shot, the assistant missed again and the vaccine dripped on the table rather than being injected into my dog. Assistant's claim was that as long half of the vaccine went in, it is fine. My question is, how does the assistant know my dog received half of the vaccine when it spilled on the counter for the shot injection and the oral vaccine went on my dog's fur and dripped on my hand as I was holding my dog and I had to ask for a kleenex because the oral vaccine dripped all over my hand. Unacceptable and untrained vaccination practices here at Glendora pet clinic center. Even though my dog didn't receive the full vaccine medication for 2 out of 3 vaccines, they charged me in full for all 3 vaccines. Aside from them charging me for full vaccination that my dog didn't receive. How do I know that my dog has received enough vaccination to protect her? As this place is supposed to be an established veterinary pet care center, they should not allow assistants or technicians to administer vaccines if they are not trained and able to administer vaccines. Ive had 3 other dogs and all other vet offices that I have come across, vets administer the vaccine themselves. I have never had issues with getting my dogs vaccinated before, so this experience of Glendora pet care center's assistants messing up my dog's vaccinations was a disappointing experience. read more

We tried so hard to like this place but we kept getting disappointed,first by Dr Huang because she prescribed the wrong prescription food for our cat that caused his skin condition to worsen and would not admit to when she could have made a mistake on her diagnosis,we chose to ignore her advice on her recommendations on what to feed our cat and his condition cleared up immediately after 3 days,after having spent several hundred dollars in stupid food and exams and tests and when we question her accuracy and intelligence on our cat's diagnosis she decides that she won't deal with us anymore and bans my wife and to top it off charged our CC for the phone call that she made to her discuss the issue?-More recently we took in another cat of ours which was ill,to be seen by Dr Kim.Initially we were happy that our cat could be seen on short notice but it was all futile,after a battery of $650.00 in tests that she ordered/recommended she could not give a diagnosis of what was wrong with our cat,all she said was"take her to a hospital better"and she did not have the decency or humanity to issue some appetite enhancer that we requested because she was not eating,why didn't she tell us to take her to another more qualified facility before running blood tests and x rays up the Ying-Yang? After my wife let her know about the uselessness of having brought our cat there she decides to ban her too just because she questioned the Doctor's ethics and profesionalism.All I can say is we will not take our pets or recommend them to anyone ever! read more

We just got an 8 week puppy and she randomly started crying for 30-40 mins none stop and she was running around the house and trying to hide, so I had called and they got me in right away I live next door as well but they helped us out and took care of our new puppy and gave us the meds for her and hopefully in a couple days she will be flea free, poor puppy but I love this place it was our first visit as well since there fairly new and we will be going back next week! took my cat here and though it's a bit more expensive (I took in my cat from a friend in an emergency, not having been prepared for just how expensive having a pet is lol) than the previous two vets I'd taken him to. However, the doctor here was really cool. She and her assistants treated my anxious and uncooperative cat with care, patience, understanding, gentleness and humor. The place i went to previously said my cat was being a "b*tch" which was not professional at all. Dr. Huang checked my cat out and didn't recommend a bunch of procedures be done on my cat like the previous vet did, which saves me money. She even ruled out my cat having a thyroid problem as another vet from my previous residence (i moved) had told me, which was confirmed by blood results. Overall, it was a little expensive, but I believe they know what they're talking about and that you won't pay for unnecessary procedures here. I'll be coming back for my future vet services, which is not something I said about the previous two vet offices I've taken my cat to. read more

PLEASE DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU HAVE PETS WITH CHRONIC ILLNESS We brought our 13 year old dog with diabetes to this clinic and initially everything was great, the prices are super reasonable and you don't have to get everything on the estimate. The problem for us happened when my dog needed a glucose curve and they INSISTED on getting blood from his gums. He is a small dog and began to become distressed and they asked me if they could sedate him mildly. I agreed thinking they would take care of him. Not TWO HOURS LATER, they ask me to come pick him up because he's still distressed. When I get there they give me my loopy, drugged dog still HEAVILY sedated. I was appalled. NEVER has a vet given my dog back to me sedated. They were always kept for observation THEN given back to us when it was appropriate. When I asked why they couldn't draw blood from another area of his body, which they've done at other vets, they gave a vague answer. We took him to another vet who was just as appalled as us and agreed this should not have happened. They also don't communicate with their other doctors and gave conflicting advice which has caused us to be confused on how to care for our dog. The place was also dirty and not properly ventilated (air conditioning came through portable air conditioners). In my opinion, this clinic is perfectly fine for low maintenance dogs or dogs needing physicals or minor ailments but not for dogs with chronic illnesses like mine. read more

We found this place on Yelp when our regular vet was unable to take in our dog who was experiencing sudden pain causing him to be unable to walk. This location took him in the same day I called and we felt they were so honest and caring. We also felt the services were very reasonably priced in comparison to other vets we have used previously. Dr. Kim was so informative and the office even called a few days later to check in our dog to see how he was doing. Within the next day our dog was walking again. Dr. Huang and her staff are anazing! Took my dog in for severe skin allergies + infections that was taking a troll on her overall health. She was losing fur, had patchy rashes, and odor omitting from her body. Her skin would bleed and she was in a lot of discomfort. Took her to multiple vets and all I spent was money on different tests, shots and medication without any improvements in her condition. We were already expecting the worst because of the severity and length of her condition. But that all changed when I found Dr. Huang! At our first visit, Dr. Huang was very direct and honest with me - because of the dogs age (13yrs old) and how severe my dogs condition was, we will have to follow her treatment plan for 2-3 weeks and see if there would be any improvement and we have to be prepared for the worst because of her current condition. We all agreeed that we did not want her to be in discomfort any longer, but wanted to give it one last hope. After Dr. Huang's detailed diagnosis and care, we followed her treatment plan and routine bi-weekly follow-up visits my dogs conditioned improved in just a few weeks. Within 3 months of treatment my dog is like a new dog! Her skin tremendously improved - no more infections, new fur is growing out, skin has healed, and no more odor! She is very active now, always running around (instead of sleeping) and going out to the yard with our other dog. She seems more youthful and is a happy dog again! I just wish we had found this vet sooner so our dog did not have to suffer for so long. They only charge you for what is necessary and will not over sell you things. I live an hour away and made the drive with my fur baby Zeus because he was having an infection from allergies. The entire staff showed Zeus so much love even though he is nervous/ a rescue.
