I highly recommend this pet clinic. Great service! Great staff! My son and my daughter also take their doggies to San Dimas Pet Clinic.

Used to be a 5 The service here has gone downhill since ownership changed!! Loved the previous doctors, flexibility and hours. That was the reason I switched here from my previous vet of 8 years. Now appointments are scheduled over a week out even if your pet is illl(or take the 24 hour pet hospital)fees are ridiculous as well! I used to recommend them since they were affordable and flexible. The new doctor is great however the way things are ran are not! Updated 9/3/23 yes my pet WAS a patient there and as I stated NO longer is! This review was not left by mistake nor to the wrong clinic.

I appreciate and love this vet! Especially BIG thanks to Dr. Daman. He has been there for Neemo since she was only 2 months and she is 6 months now. San Dimas Pet clinic is the only vet that I completely trust for my pets to have a check on. Him and the team took good care of her and his advices always relieve my stress out. I love the fact that doctors here don't make things sound serious and get their clients to do more uneccessary tests. BIG shout out to Dr. DAMAN and Dr. Prop ( hope i got his name right). Thanks a lot lot lot for all the love and care for Neemo and Mia as well! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

This place is a literal life saver! After trying 3 other veterinarians we were referred by a friend to this office and they almost immediately knew what the issue was. ALL OF THE OTHER VETS were too busy thinking about the patients age and breed that they ignored VERY OBVIOUS VERY PAINFUL symptoms. I am thankful we found this place. Both vets are friendly enough and knowledgeable, the lady veterinarian has a much better "bedside manner". The only gripe I have is the cost of some services: a little on the high side. But you definitely get what you pay for. While waiting in lobby you will hear stuff like: " well they figured it out and saved my kitty but it was sooo much" (or something similar). [also i do understand the cost of laboratory work is expensive now and am not including things San Dimas pets has no control over] They are very responsive to email and phone calls and even work well with other offices. MARIA in the front is always SUPER FRIENDLY AND UNDERSTANDING and gets stuff done. She really does get stuff done. She displays genuine compassion for paw parents in pain while somehow dealing with pets needs and phone and paperwork and .... The other technician (younger dude from Philippines) is also nice as well as efficient. I say this Only because I am being asked: ONE AREA FOR IMPROVEMENT would be incision length and stitches. Stitches are hard but taking an extra minute and closing fascia layers independently and finally closing dermis would cut down on heal time and infection risk. parapreputial/midline-paramedian incision took a long time to heal. Thank you Drs!!!! Thank you San Dimas Pet clinic!!!!

Before treatment on the left, after treatment on the right. Antifungals to help kick that crypotococcus!

These vets saved "my" cat's life! I had no idea what was going on with my outdoor community cat, but his nose was in bad shape. Thankfully, the doctors here were able to quickly assess and test for CRYPTOCOCCUS. It's a fungus that lives in pigeon feces. We got the results, and we found out from the doctors that it's pretty common in our area for cats that live outdoors. Long story short, our cat got taken in by a foster/adopter and got antifungal medications. See the pictures for his transformation after just 5 weeks of treatment. Thank you, Dr. D for loving on this sweet boy, for answering all of our neurotic questions, and for assisting in changing this boy's destiny and stars. Staff was kind. Very stringent Covid protocol. Waited outside for a few hours (wear sunblock and bring a book to read), but so thankful for the vets and medical staff at SDAC!

San Dimas Pet Clinic is the epitome of going above and beyond to provide excellent veterinary care. I have been coming to this clinic since my dog, Riley, was just a puppy. With each visit I have left completely satisfied and confident that the doctors and staff are more than capable of providing the care my pet needs. They are thorough in their examinations and demonstrate a profound knowledge of veterinary medicine that not many veterinarians have. My dog has been treated here by different doctors and each time she has gotten better in a number of days. I attribute their success to their willingness to get to the root of the problem and not just treating symptoms blindly. One thing I cannot stress enough is that you get what you pay for. In my opinion, their pricing is more than fair considering the excellent service they provide. Although I live an hour away, I will continue to bring my pet here because I know that my baby is in great hands. Highly recommend!

This is my last review that I'll be writing for San Dimas Animal Hospital because my last…read moreexperience with them was just so unfair, I can't fathom taking my other pet here. I had written a review a few months ago for the front staff authorizing charges to my account without my permission and since then, they've started going through the process of taking signatures for transactions, so I'm happy they used my review for better service. Again, Dr. Singh is amazing. Dr. Delgado kept insisting for the urinalysis to get any form of medication and the front staff really has to be more organized when it comes to discharging with medications. --- I am really sad how unfair it was that my pet's treatment got dismissed even when I had asked for some form of antibiotics. My pet, 20.5 years at the time, started urinating blood, so on Thursday, 2/12, I had brought him in hoping that he can get antibiotics for this UTI that he had. With symptoms of hematuria and consistent small amounts of urine, I hoped to get some form of antibiotics or medication to ease his discomfort. Unfortunately, since he wasn't able to hold in his urine, they weren't able to get enough for a urinalysis and they had sent him home and told me to contact them the next day if he's still urinating blood. My sister picked up my pet Thursday evening, so I feel like they were in a rush just to get out of there instead of ensuring that my sister went home with everything she was supposed to. Called them Friday morning and said he was still urinating blood, and they said to monitor him and if he's still urinating blood, to bring him Saturday for a urinalysis. I contacted them again Friday evening with photographs stating that he's still urinating blood and they said I can bring him in for a tech appointment Saturday morning. My brother brings in my pet Saturday (2/14) morning, and they comped the urinalysis which was nice. I had asked my brother if they sent him home with antibiotics but they said that they need the urinalysis results before prescribing anything and since they're closed on Sundays, they would contact me on Monday. I called them around 9AM on Monday (2/16), and they said that they got the urinalysis results but had to wait for the doctor to have time to talk about the results with me. By this time, my pet was not eating, drinking or walking. I know I should have taken him to the ER but given his age, I didn't want to stress him out and was hoping that he would be interested enough in food by the time they gave me the medication. The doctor ends up calling me around 2PM and stated that he did have some form of UTI (I knew this already..) and that he will be sent home with amoxicillin and that it would be available for pickup within the hour and that the gabapentin prescribed to him should help with the pain as well. I drive over to the hospital an hour later and the staff informs me that I will be picking up amoxicillin (antibiotics) and I inquire about the gabapentin (pain medication) that the doctor brought up during our phone call. The staff seemed confused and they then asked me "Oh, you didn't get it on Thursday?" Uh, no I didn't get it on Thursday. This is why I had inquired about it? I saw on my previous invoices that I had gotten charged for the Gabapentin on 2/12 and I'm really angered that my pet was in pain for 5 days. And even when I had my brother bring my pet in on that Saturday (2/14), that they couldn't just double check anything. I know it's partially my fault for not making sure, but I honestly thought that they had given my pet a gabapentin shot but to find out he was supposed to be sent home with the pain medication instead... it's just really flabbergasting. I gave my pet the gabapentin and hoped that it would help subside any pain my pet had so he can eat, but an hour passed.. then 2 hours passed.. and my pet unfortunately was declining.. He wasn't interested in eating his favorite treats (and the amoxicillin is supposed to be given with food), so I took him to ER and unfortunately, had to choose humane euthanasia due to the extent of how badly he declined. I'm so upset with how this was handled. I don't understand why my pet had to suffer his last few days of his life because he wasn't sent home with pain medication. I also don't understand why they couldn't just give me the amoxicillin even though it was a possibility that it may NOT have been a UTI but at least given it to me to make sure he didn't worsen. I know my previous review of the unauthorized CareCredit charges may have made me seem like a difficult client, but take it out on me, not on the care of my pet. I feel like he would still be here if I was just given the gabapentin on the correct day or the amoxicillin as a "just in case" prescription but he didn't get any despite me asking about the antibiotics and the last few days of his life was filled with discomfort and a veterinary hospital that kept dismissing my hopes for care for my pet.

One Star - Misguided, Money-Motivated, and Dismissive If I…read morecould give zero stars, I would. This animal hospital failed our puppy on multiple levels. We came in with specific concerns, but instead of truly listening, they pushed unnecessary X-rays and procedures. It turns out our dog was simply allergic to chicken--something we figured out ourselves later thanks to TikTok. No diagnostics, no curiosity from the staff--just a rush to charge for services that did nothing to help. To make matters worse, they told us our puppy needed surgery because his testicles weren't dropping, only for them to drop naturally much later. He was just a late bloomer, but their immediate suggestion was an invasive procedure without considering time or alternatives. When we declined vaccines because our puppy was clearly sick, the doctor's wife--who also works there--made a face and pushed for them anyway. Only after some back and forth did she change her tune and say, "Oh, we wouldn't vaccinate while he's sick." The inconsistency and lack of professionalism were alarming. This place feels money-driven, not animal-focused. We won't be returning and strongly suggest others seek out a more ethical and attentive vet who actually cares about pets, not just profits.

Despite some concerns, I continued coming back because I prefer consistency and didn't want to switch vets. However, my recent experiences with my current cat, Miso, have been extremely disappointing. Over multiple visits this year, I was told my cat needed to be medicated with gabapentin due to "aggression." When that didn't work, they prescribed trazodone. Even after administering both medications, I was told my cat was still "too aware," and they were only able to complete partial vaccinations (rabies and FVRCP). I specifically asked for the leukemia vaccine as well, but they declined and told me to come back another time to avoid further stress. At my visit on 04/10, I was then told my cat would require additional sedation via injection, increasing the cost from an estimated $90 to $220. Instead, I chose to go to another nearby veterinary clinic. Within less than 5 minutes, they were able to administer all necessary vaccines including the leukemia shot without any additional sedation. My cat is vocal, but he was handled efficiently and safely. Additionally, during one visit, two technicians openly admitted that they had previously had a cat escape through the roof. That raised serious concerns for me regarding their handling procedures and overall safety protocols. Based on my experience, this clinic appears to rely heavily on medication and upselling sedation rather than proper handling techniques. Cat owners should be cautious and consider getting a second opinion.

She started to sneeze a lot yesterday and it looked like she was trying to get something out of it. Since our regular vet didn't have any appointments, I scheduled a same day visit at Grand Animal Hospital. The doctor (an Indian female, though she never introduced herself or gave her name) examined my dog very briefly which literally just a couple of seconds and said she wanted to order an X-ray and bloodwork to check her white blood cell count. I asked if she could check inside my dog's nose for a possible foreign object. She said she couldn't because it would require putting my dog under anesthesia. I then asked if an X-ray would show a foreign body, and she told me no, it would only show structural issues, which was not my main concern. However, shortly after, she contradicted herself and said the X-ray could show a foreign object. She also said the bloodwork would show inflammation, but my dog's nose was already visibly swollen inside and bleeding, so inflammation was obvious. When I tried to explain that the inside of her nose looked swollen, she interrupted me and said, "there is no swelling, everything looks normal," without even properly examining her. My dog is a Pomeranian with Alopecia X (hair loss), which is a very common condition in this breed. When the doctor saw my dog has no hair, she looked suprised. The doctor seemed unfamiliar with it and suggested my dog must be mixed, which is incorrect. I also mentioned that my dog has itchy skin on her sides, but the doctor ignored this concern and instead just said she didn't see any fleas, which makes no sense since my dog has almost no hair. At the end of the visit, she said a nurse would bring an estimate for the X-ray and bloodwork. When the estimate came out, there was an additional test for upper respiratory infection that the doctor had never mentioned. The total estimate was around $1100 for only x ray and 2 blood work. This is the most expensive hospital ever. Overall, I felt like the doctor did not listen to my concerns, did not perform a proper exam, and was more focused on ordering tests than addressing the actual issue. Because of this, my husband and I decided not to proceed with any of the recommended tests and left. Unfortunately, the visit still cost $59, which felt like a complete waste given the lack of care and knowledge. The nurse was nice and waiting time was quick.

He had been in a slow decline that suddenly turned rapid, and I knew we were at the end. What stood out most was the veterinarian's honesty. They checked his vitals, but we didn't pursue extensive diagnostics. Instead, he spoke candidly about what he was seeing--neurologically, Baxter was not himself and had clearly lost significant muscle mass. At his age, there was likely more going on than one treatable issue. The veterinarian could have easily recommended a long list of tests. Instead, he gave me real guidance. When I asked what he would do if it were his own dog, he told me he would choose euthanasia at this stage, explaining that "a day or a week too early is better than a day too late" to avoid unnecessary suffering. I had been struggling with this decision for a while, and that honesty helped me feel confident I was doing the right thing. It meant everything. Once I made the decision, the compassion from the staff was incredible. They handled everything with such care, dignity, and kindness. I've also been here before when Baxter was first diagnosed with heart failure, and had the same experience. The veterinarian literally told me it wasn't an emergency and that I could either proceed with treatment there or follow up with my regular vet the next day and save the cost of emergency care. That level of transparency really stuck with me. I'm truly grateful for this team and this office. If you're ever in a difficult situation with your pet, this is a place where you'll receive honest, compassionate care--not pressure to run unnecessary tests or take advantage of a vulnerable moment. My other dog also crossed the Rainbow Bridge at 14 years old last week, and Dr. Huang gently helped him and made sure he was comfortable the whole time. We received a beautiful card with handwritten notes from all the staff and Dr. Huang a few days after and it was very touching and much appreciated. Through Dr. Huang's care, my dogs lived a long and comfortable life. I am truly so grateful to have found her to care for my dogs and will recommend all my family and friends to her.

We went to Glendora Pet Care Center because the owner used to be on staff at La Verne Animal…read moreHospital and we really thought she was an excellent doctor. Unfortunately, she doesn't work every day and the days we are able to bring our cats in, she does not work those days. The care our cat received was good. They couldn't give us a definitive answer to our cat's problem. They seem to have a high priority of selling food and other products. Also, there is no onsite emergency services. For these reasons we returned to La Verne Animal Hospital and they figured out what was wrong. Glendora Pet Care is a good place, just not for us.
