Was back in…read morethe hunting section for 15 minutes watching the 5 people behind the counter help the 3 customers they had. Not a single one looked at me and even greeted me letting me know they would be with me. If anything, i only saw annoyed indifference. I did not scan the QR code to register for gun counter help as what I needed was on the floor. I finally asked one of the gentlemen behind the counter if someone could just quickly show me where the item I wanted was. He asked if I had scanned the QR code. At this point I gave up and went to the customer service desk. I have been in retail management for the last 30 years. While I understand that on occasion, one must wait for help. It has always been my rule that a customer must be at least, acknowledged within 30 seconds. Not only was I not greeted, i was presented with nothing greater than annoyed indifference. At customer service, the lady who helped me while I waited a long time to speak to the manager, was quite pleasant. Upon the arrival of the manager, I handed him my Cabela's silver card with an accumulated 220+ points and let him know you all can keep it. I am done. You have lost a customer. Good job on your training. I got my magazines at Sportsman's Warehouse in less than 5 minutes.

I went to North Face to get a new coat for an upcoming trip. On a whim, I brought old raincoat along. They gave me 40% of tag price toward a new raincoat. They were very helpful, and frankly I did not expect even the amount they offered. Great staff.

Store manager Rylee told an African American woman that a Northface coat she returned for feathers…read morebeing found in giant balls could not be returned an honored by Northface return policy. The woman told Rylee the condition of the coat over the phone and stated Rylee told her she would allow her return it and get another one free. After being reminded of that Rylee then said she take an extra 30% off of a lowest new coat. The coat she bought was identical to the one she brought in. Instead of of 80% off with 60% off and 30% that woman had to pay over $100 for a $350.00 coat. We were flabbergasted by Rylee acting racist and not following the free return lifetime Northface return policy. As the customer took pictures of the returned coat we did too. It's disgusting.

I tried some jackets to see which I preferred and took photos of the tags to remember them. They have large fitting rooms even though the store doesn't look big from the outside. Even a seating area in the middle for people who are waiting for others to complete their shopping. Prices weren't bad at all for winter jackets. But sizing selection was not great in my size.

The drive through the entrance to the parking lot was scenic and well marked. At the lake we met Grace and Wes who outfitted us with life jackets and made sure we knew where to go. We also saw a map of where not to go. They are asking for people to not go near the dam, but that wasn't an issue as there is a ton of open space to explore. The lake was quiet, scenic, and beautiful! Without jetskis, boats, etc we were able to hear birds and fish jumping in the water. The sounds of nature really made it seem like an escape that would only be experienced much further away. The two hours flew by, and we are already planning another trip back.
