However, the experience I encountered during a recent property viewing was so concerning that I feel obligated to share it for the benefit of prospective clients. My partner and I were searching for our third home and had spent the day attending several open houses. This property was our final stop. Upon arrival, we were asked to wait outside because only one party was permitted inside at a time, which we completely understood and respected. When it was our turn to enter, the agent opened the door and immediately instructed us, in a demanding tone, to come inside quickly. At the time, I assumed this urgency was related to preventing a cat inside the home from escaping and did not think much of it. The situation escalated when I proceeded to sign the visitor registration form. The form provided options for either a phone number or an email address. I entered my email address, as that is my preferred method of contact. The agent then demanded that I provide my phone number instead. I politely explained that I had already provided my email address and preferred not to share my phone number. Without provocation, the agent became visibly agitated and began yelling, stating that this was "not how it works" and that I either had to provide my phone number or leave the property. Despite my calm explanation that the form itself allowed for an email address, he continued raising his voice and threatened to call the police if we did not comply. He then took out his phone and stated that he would go outside and photograph our vehicle license plates. What occurred next was the most troubling part of the encounter. The agent physically placed his hands on me and began pushing me toward the exit. I immediately instructed him to remove his hands and made it clear that physical contact was unacceptable. Despite this, he continued yelling and escalating the situation. At that point, I considered contacting law enforcement due to the unwanted physical contact. However, my partner and I ultimately chose to leave rather than further escalate the incident. This entire situation arose solely because I exercised my preference to provide an email address rather than a phone number on a registration form that expressly allowed for that option. There was no justification for the verbal hostility, threats, or physical contact that followed. As a result of this incident, I am evaluating my legal options regarding the physical altercation. Fortunately, I have a recording documenting the interaction. I encourage prospective clients to exercise caution when dealing with this agent. While this review reflects my personal experience, interactions of this nature inevitably impact perceptions of the agency he represents as well. Professionalism, respect, and personal safety should be expected standards in any client interaction, and regrettably, those standards were not met during this encounter.

She also informed me that the broker's fee must be paid in order to apply for the apartment. When I viewed the application for the apartment, while she stated that the broker's fee is refundable in the event the management company denied my application, there was nothing in writing to prove this would actually happen. Also made me grow somewhat suspicious. All in all, the apartments she showed me were good, but I don't know how they justified the 12% brokers fee that she claimed was the company's policy. All she did was show me the apartment. In the end, I took my business elsewhere.

I'm not sure why others get satisfaction out of complaining and putting people at risk to lose a great reputation in their career.
