So.... I hate to give one star reviews but unfortunately sometimes businesses just warrant them. We are in the area visiting and thought we would check it out. We drive up to the window. The girl slides the window open and just stares at us. Not a hello, no greeting, not a what can I get for you.... We tell her what we would like. 5 sundaes of various sizes to bring back to the house. She slides open the window and tries handing them to us. We asked for covers. She said I don't know if we have them. Trays? Same answer. Two people, one a driver trying to manage 5 sundaes with no tray and no lid. No apologies, no thank you....just shut the window and walked away. The ice cream is just machine made soft serve with average toppings. Wouldn't recommend. Wouldn't go back. read more

Loved it! I visited on a Sunday and the service through the drive-thru was fantastic. I'd never been there before, but I knew I wanted a milk shake. The first sign I saw was a picture of the cherry chocolate shake. It was a flavor that they have for a limited time only. I was sold, because I love chocolate covered cherries. Well, it was a great decision. It was exactly what I've wanted in a cherry shake that I haven't been able to get from other places that have cherry as a flavor. There were bits of maraschino cherry in it. It was as if they used cherry ice cream. It didn't taste like artificial cherry flavoring. This particular one had chocolate shavings and it was topped with a cherry cordial candy surprise. I was thrilled! I haven't had their custard ice cream yet. It appears that they use vanilla bean custard as a base in all of their creations. If that's true, then I know I'll like it by itself. I did notice that they have a large variety of toppings and sauces. I also saw that they have pineapple Dole whip which is dairy-free. It looked delicious in the picture that I saw. I almost got that, but the cherry chocolate shake was calling my name. I'll be stopping here more often when I get a craving for sweets. The drive-thru is very convenient. Walked up to the window and the place looked abandoned, no life at all. No buzzer to buzz so I knocked on the window several times. Had enough so I walked away. I noticed a restroom on the side of the building so I decided to make use of it. While inside I could hear people talking, so when I exited the room I went back to the window. This time a young lady opened the window and I requested a soft swerve chocolate vanilla mixed in a cup. The young lady replied that their soft swerve machine was broke down. I replied 'who do you think you are.... McDonalds!' She didn't get the jest of the comment and told me she could put a scoop of chocolate and a scoop of vanilla in a cup for me. I said no thanks, it's not the same, I'll try the NEW place up the street and so that's what I did! read more

3.5 stars if I could rate it that way. This is a small drive through soft serve ice cream place. I ordered a large chocolate milkshake and what I received was of excellent consistency and taste. The drive through entrance is not well marked, and a bit too narrow. The prices were reasonable for the Brandon area and the service was, typical drive through window service. More polite and friendly than many. Luckily I stopped to get the milkshake to go along with the KFC I picked up (but that's another review). Just had the absolute rudest service here from a girl working at the drive through window. She spoke to me like I was an absolute idiot when I asked for pistachio flavoring in soft serve. I have gone to this location many times, and even if they didn't offer pistachio as a featured flavor, they have been able to mix soft serve with the flavor. She said she couldn't do that and was so rude about it and made me feel so uncomfortable. She was one of the rudest people I have ever spoken to and gave me an incredibly liquid "milkshake" with absolutely no flavoring. I threw it out as I left the parking lot. Really sad because I love this location and come all the time but won't be back due to this employee. The owner should do themselves a favor and let this employee go as other reviews seem to indicate this same girl has been rude to other customers well. read more

So to much of my surprise when I see this little building shaped like an ice cream cone, it immediately caught my attention. I usually get my afternoon treats at steak n shake for their half price shakes. But when I've had a "not so good day so now I need a pick me up" treat, I come here. The price is definitely right for each item. They have a variety of toppings and sauces. Which usually means I'm staring at the menu for a long period of time trying to make up my mind. The card states it's based on items purchased, buy 9 get the 10th free. Having bought 4 items the employee states one stamp is applicable due to his manager, Amber S's directive. One stamp per visit. I am happy to re-Patronize a local business to help out but to promote a discount based on quantity then change it, arbitrarily to a one per visit is absurd. I love love love this place! Excellent service. Always fast and they are always patient when you ask to try new flavors. I always give myself a little treat and this is my go to. I love the pistachio ice cream and the dole pineapple. They're always changing the flavor of the week and I always give them a try every time I stop in. Definitely a great neighborhood staple. If soft serve is what you're craving - Topper's is serving it up. I appreciate all the Yelp-love this local place is getting, but I don't totally get it. With limited soft serve flavors, the variety really does come in the toppers/mix-ins. It's good and some of their creations seem really tempting, but it's not knock my socks off good. I do have to say it's a great value for the money. The small at Toppers is like a medium or large at other places. And the toppers are definitely spread throughout and not just on top like I've had at some other places around Tampa. The kids I was with really like it so I'm sure when I'm back in town, there's a good chance we'll end up here again. My medium vanilla cone was sooo creamy, rich and delicious, and my son really enjoyed his peanut butter shake. We sat in the car to eat and watch the customers come and go, including an Italian greyhound. He must have been ordering a pup cup (vanilla soft serve with a dog bone cookie). There are also a couple of benches outside, if you have little ones and don't want hot fudge all over your upholstery. We definitely recommend Topper's, and will be back soon. Along with that, I believe the price has significantly increased while at the same time the size of the serving has decreased by almost half. I will no longer patronize this business. Though the quality of product has not changed, the price is not worth it anymore. There are so many more affordable options. It is a shame to see this business succumb to price gouging. read more
