My friends suggested we meet up at Bull Creek Brewing before going to karaoke on a Saturday night. My first impression was country western atmosphere. I wasn't even close and was both pleasantly surprised and delighted at what I found inside. There is a lot to unpack here so bear with me. Bullfrog Creek Brewing is both diverse and progressive. They have a decent selection of craft beer, craft cocktails and a kitchen which was pumping out what looked like some very delicious food. The crowd was diverse for the area. The inside bar was full and outside on this occasion had live music. Outside there were kids having fun with their parents and this place is super dog friendly. Outside they have a table set up with bowls and doggy treats. The service is great here, although they have a line to take orders which slows things down a bit. They have QR codes to order as well. A b d this is maybe not a real observation, but I am thinking they are family owned because to me a lot of them looked alike. The place was relatively clean although the menus were a little sticky which was not optimal. And the best thing was although there were only 2 restrooms off to the right of the bar, they were both unisex. Unisex restrooms to in Florida to me represent progressive thinking. Finally, the beer was decent no real beer reviews this time. Maybe next time. I did try two beers a wheat watermelon beer which was mid and a hazy IPA which was decent. OMG. What is there to not love about it. Great beer selections. They have wine. Bingo games with prizes! It's twice a week so I asked, looked pretty fun as people danced, ate, drank, and played same time. It's got both indoor and outdoor seating with plenty of TV screens, a pup cup on the menu. A song box to pay and play your choice of music. What else, their food is AMAZING! Their service was spot on, friendly, quick and great hospitality. Such gooood smash burger! We and our friends have made it a mission to visit local breweries once a month for lunch and this month was Bullfrog. First time for me and I liked the atmosphere. You could certainly smell the hops when you walked inside. Nice variety of beer, but since I was the designated driver this trip I only had one....the Amber. It was good, not super full bodied, but I liked it. You order drinks at the bar and also food, although there is a QR code to order food also. The menu is limited, but there are nice choices. I had the double smash burger which came with fries. It comes with tomatoes and lettuce, but if you wanted onions it was 75 cents extra. Weird. I placed the order using the QR code and they texted me when my order was ready. You have to head outside to the food truck to pick up your food. The burger was good as were the fries. Went here for a friends bday as they had music trivia... not too bad. Everything is self serve- go to the bar & order drinks... also a food truck outside to order food. While the music trivia wasn't my favorite one, it was great it benefited a charity. Nice change of pace. The bar however had so many different kinds of beers, ciders, seltzers.... Every flavor too! My parents are regulars at this local brewery and they can't say enough good things about it! I remember when they first moved into the space and they've definitely come a long way, especially with their events and seating options. Their outdoor dining space is awesome and my mom tells me they do concerts and trivia there as well. Atmosphere - If you are looking for micro brewery that is a more upscale gastropub type experience, keep looking. If you enjoy a casual, neighborhood type place that offers a wide selection of beer (most brewed on site) this is a worthwhile visit. There is a bar that seats roughly eight and about a dozen tables inside and a similar amount outside on a patio. Service - there was only one staff member on duty and she handled everything (the bar and food orders) well. She was also pleasant and attentive. Food - we arrived at lunch time on a weekday afternoon. I ordered an IPA and a hot ham and cheese wrap (it is listed on the menu as a panini). The food is prepared in a food truck located outside the building. The beer was very good, as was the sandwich. Overall - The prices are reasonable and the food and beer good. I've been here a few times and two things stand out, service is meh, at best, so I will go to places in the area that want my business. I have a Craftapped app, so was more than willing to give all their beers a shot, but candidly, today was the last time I frequent this place. I came in for a beer and burger, but the server (I sat at the bar) had no desire to serve me. I ordered a crème ale and got a menu. This was after I sat there for 5 minutes and watched her wait on what turned out to be a group of four older people who sat next to me - AFTER I sat down. I hope, for her sake, her assessment pays off, as some server at another establishment will benefit from this. I ordered a beer an showed her my app and asked for a menu. I had come in for a burger but when not only did she not come back to me, but actually stood in the register area not doing anything at all, (for a time) I realized the owners of this establishment make so much money, they must tell their employees not to take orders. We've got four beers, two red wines, and boiled peanuts (the way Chinese like them), which is a surprise because Americans prefer their peanuts crunchy. They're yummy, salty, spicy (fit me perfectly), and messy: my finger nails have black rings. A small table sits up front, selling cigars. The pretty lady is very personable, trying to remember all her customers' names. They've indoor and outdoor sections. When we arrived around 7 pm on a Saturday, a singer was performing indoors. Two staff members are operating the bar and the fort. Another man is in the green cabboos/kitchen in the outdoor section. Another surprise is how few drinkers there are: by the time we leave, around 9:30, it's still pretty empty. A young family with three kids, one is an infant - not judging, just happy for the parents who have a night out with their kids. [delete the union part...] Despite a brewery, their wine glasses are decent: thank you! The only complaint I've is their wobbly tables. read more

I'm really at a 3.5 but the back and forth was a little annoying, so I gotta drop it a half . This brewery is in a small strip plaza, full on store front, walked inside, it was very big, lots of tables, bar at the back the entire length of the back wall. It was a beautiful day out.... we wanted to sit outside, but then while standing inside the door inside, we learned if you're seated outside you have to come in to get your order, so we seated ourselves inside. So we sat. And waited. And while looking at the couple of menus for the 7 of us, we grabbed some more menus from other tables, we were going to eat, but no one came to the table to even get our drink orders, so I went to the bar/counter and learned that you have to order EVERYTHING at the bar/counter and you leave a credit card with them for a tab or by QR code (which I don't partake in) and...and drinks you pick up at the bar inside and food you have to go outside and pick up food at the food truck? I didn't even see a food truck at that point. OK I think I got the rules down... Order at the counter, pick up drinks inside, pick up food outside. SO WEIRD! Since we wanted to sit outside to begin with, we all went outside. There were 6-7 of us, so we needed a table to accommodate us all. Sat at a flimsy plastic (plywood-like) square table with attached small seats. Flimsy in the sense that when someone got up and leaned on the table, the whole thing felt like it was going to tip. While all sides had people sitting on the small attached seats. It happened twice with 2 different people on 2 different sides of the table. I'm glad no one ended up on the floor. OH and I finally saw the food truck, all the way in the back of the outdoor area. The outside was set up cute, though. Artificial turf, tables, sail shades and a small stage by the parking lot side, we had a live acoustic guy. So that was a nice touch. Now that we knew the lay of the land and the rules - we all did our individual getting up and ordering and bringing our own drinks and sitting down and getting a text to get our food and then sitting down and then bussing our own tables and then going back inside to close out tabs... it was pretty discombobulated and made for an interesting time for the 7 of us. So, the beer - because that's why we're here......I tried a few but settled on the Sweater one. That was the best one I tasted. So I had 2. I also had the cheese curds. Fried, and d really greasy and oily. But you can't expect less, it's fried. and it's cheese! Others had burgers and a couple other things. They said they were pretty good. The service was friendly once we figured out the situation, and engaged in good conversation and were helpful in choosing the right beer. Even the folks in the food truck were friendly while picking up our food. I've done both Uber Eats orders and stopped in n for a drink and I would recommend both. Burgers have great flavor. I've enjoyed the black & blue and the mac & cheese smash, both with garlic cheese fries. At my recent dine in, I was surprised to see a pilsner on the menu called Kia Ora, which as a former Air New Zealand employee, I had no choice but to order. A great neighborhood brewery. They have a nice variety of beers to select from (fan favs like Prop Wash IPA, Long Pond Lager, Afterwork Red) and knowledgeable staff that treat you like family. The menu has plenty of sandwiches and a couple of good salads, wings are great and the smash burgers and pulled pork are favorites. We ordered on the Toast app and picked up at the food truck. We went inside and ordered the American Brown and The red. We liked them both but preferred the brown. Went looking for cans but they did not have any that day. The food was pretty quick to pick up. All was great with the great pretzel sticks ( we ordered mustard along with the beer cheese). The wings were. great size and cajun parmesan was great on the smoked wings. The salad was good until I kept finding wilted lettuce. Bullfrog Creek Brewing is a solid spot for a local craft beer in the Lithia/Valrico area. My brother and I stopped in here one weeknight for some hang time. We arrived to a very full parking lot, wondering why a brewery was packed on a Wednesday night. Turns out it was a bingo fundraiser for a local group. Not a single seat in the house was left. Luckily, they have outdoor seating. Not the most ideal, considering heat, bugs, etc., but it worked. You order at a counter, grab your beers and you'll get a text for your food. I ordered their "Diddy". This German Pilsner is crisp, light and refreshing with the slightest carbonation and it hit the spot. I love a good Pilsner and this is one of them. My brother tried a couple different IPAs. He enjoyed them as well. The only let down here was the food. Food trucks are a popular option for breweries but theirs seems to be a permanent fixture. A "kitchen" by way of a food truck that never leaves the premises. I ordered the chicken tenders. My brother ordered a Cuban. We also got pretzels. The pretzels were decent. On the greasy side but were soft, salted and came with a tasty cheese to dip. My chicken tenders were pretty lackluster. They weren't very juicy or super tender. They lacked seasoning in the breading and were just ok. The fries were average. This meal was only $10.99 so that's not the worst pricing. My brother had the Cuban. This sandwich was decent for a Cuban but honestly, competition in Tampa is steep when it comes to that. This one held its own but definitely wasn't the best around. This sandwich was $16.99. Pricey for a Cuban. That's more expensive than Columbia. Bullfrog Creek doesn't bill themselves as a gastropub so you can't expect chef inspired food. I also didn't expect the food to be that average. All in all, this is a great local brewery. The beer is excellent and the food is filling. I'd definitely come back for the beer! read more

This place keeps growing on me... So I only hit this place when I am camping in the area.. So one or two times a year... So what keeps me coming back??? Well it is the closest to the campsite but besides that, this is a pretty awesome brewery... Beers, service and ambience... It scores high in each area.... I could go on about each of their beers but taste is very subjective and you will need to figure that out on your own... As for service, I have had nothing but the best, most welcoming and attentive beer tenders every single time I have bellied up to the bar.... Very informative about their beers and willing to chat about just about anything... As for the brewery itself... Well it is on par with most... Cozy and comfortable inside... A bar that sits 10 or 12.. And plenty of open seating for everyone else wanting to stay inside... Outside, there is a very welcoming open area with an inviting seating area with plenty of shade for those sunny days... You can also bring fido out there... Great wings! One of the few places you can get smoked wings. You can taste the smoke and it really makes the wings. Come on Wednesday for lunch and they have wing specials! Sorry I forgot pics. We got 2 orders of wings. One with Cajun dry rub and the other with Cajun garlic parm. We also had an order of loaded fries. Food was prepared fresh and ready quickly. Staff here is A+. Best local brewery and family friendly. Events all week to enjoy with great beer. Dry rub wings really brought out the smoke. Crispy wings that were good size. The Cajun garlic parm was very good. A nice twist with some heat with the garlic and parm. Perfect for sharing. You get 8 wings in an order. Loaded fries are great with cheese, bacon, sauce and tons of fries with jalapeños. Definitely enough to share. We were stuffed with all the food. You can sit inside or outdoors. They have a great outdoor area that is covered. Nice setting. Bigger than I thought. The bartender Alex was very friendly and knowledgeable. One of the brew makers came over and introduced himself to us. Give us a brief backstory on the brewery. Seems like it's geared toward the veterans, a plus. Very family friendly. They also serve food here. If you buy stickers they send some of the proceeds to a military charity. All in all a good experience. Just wish they were colder is only complaint we have. We will be back to try it again though. Love to support local! read more

Our first thought for this brewery is it definitely needs a 2nd visit (thank goodness for the new Tampa Bay Ale Trail book) because when we were there, sadly they hardly had anything available we wanted to try due to the Brew Master being at the Craft Brewers Conference and they ran out of alot... Which is KINDA understandable but as a business, you need to ensure you have enough supplies while you are away. 2nd visit was not during the conference and we didn't have enough options to make a flight here that was actually their beer vs guest taps. We do not go to breweries to have someone else's beer. As we do participate in the TBAT, we have to go again each year, hopefully things start to improve with their beer selection as it is a huge hike over to Valrico from Palm Harbor to be continually disappointed. read more

The put side seating have good setup with plenty of seat. I am not sure they allow dog on the outside. But worth a try. The selection of beer is good. I like the Diddy. It is a German Pilsner. I love it! The best part is that it's so close to home. As everyone has mentioned, they have a great outdoor area with benches and umbrellas for shade. It's spacious indoors as well, although a little dark inside. All the tables and benches are spaced out 6 feet or more. They are totally following the protocol. The beer is pretty awesome. I've only had two of their brews, and I liked both of them. The Diddy is a light German Pilsner. They had this canned for pick up as they do for some of their other most popular beers. My favorite so far is their Survival Mode. This was a tart and tasty sour that tasted like guava pastry. It's now my new favorite. I don't think it's on tap every day so get it when you see it. As with most breweries, you can get crowlers or growlers of your favorite beer to take home with you. They also have a great food truck rotation. I'm hearing that Rockstar Lobster will be there permanently sometime in September. I hope they still continue to bring others as well. I've been happy with all of them. I'm also happy to see that it's busy again. They had to stop serving beer for a little while due to COVID-19, but they never closed. They kept finding ways to stay afloat and they survived. Glorious sunny, warm Saturday and sadly , for us, the outdoor space was full with family and couples. not to be deterred we sat at the bar with a super friendly and knowledgeable beer tender. fryer was broken so no food (which is fine becomes three bulls brewery also in the area has really really good food,. Still would have been nice to have a little something in the tummy before hitting the next stop. anyhow, we shared had two very good sours, (one, a cotton candy, marshmallow sour wheat beer, fair day? was crowler worthy. the DIPA (name had fishin' in it) was a low IBU, high abv beauty, just as expected and the peanut butter milk stout was also really good. had good tunes (80s/90s, (when is the last time you heard Bruce Hornsby and the Clash within 5 minutes of each other?) at an appropriate volume; loud enough shazam but soft enough you didn't have to yell. Fun atmosphere at this brewery that supports veterans and non-profits! They allow you to buy a beer for a veteran! The also have lots of fun events on most evenings like Texas Hold Em on Mondays and Music Bingo on Thursdays. The food is made to order from the food truck outside, but you order at the counter inside and they give you a buzzer to alert you when your order is ready. My husband and I visited this adorable hidden brewery in the heart of Valrico on Sunday afternoon. We were exploring different parks in the area and stumbled upon it at the right time! We saw that it was dog friendly, which is another win, as we had our lab with us. We quickly found parking and entered the patio of the establishment. It was pretty busy, which is always a good sign! The outdoor patio had a food truck parked there for any food items. While we didn't try any food, we definitely will on our next visit. The patio was so colorful and fun. It had shaded seating as well as sunlit seating for those who need it. They had games for the kids, painting on the wall, and tvs to watch football! We stumbled inside to observe the awesome ambiance the brewery had to offer. I tried their Alafia Wheat, which was super flavorful, refreshing and ice cold. It was definitely one of the better wheat beers I've had and I will totally recommend it to others. My husband had the "Gone Fishin?" IPA. I asked him and he said it was really good and a high percentage, bonus! We noticed that this place had activities every night of the week as well as a car show going on while we were there!
