My doctor sent orders to TOPS for my first mammogram, and it could not have been a better experience. Upon entry, I only waited at the window for a millisecond before Keisha confirmed my appointment. She handed me a clipboard with paperwork, and I started filling it out. Any question I had, she answered with ease. She didn't seem bothered or frustrated. When another patient walked in and expressed her orders were in her other car, Keisha went above and beyond to ensure she had the order and could keep her appointment. There's also a water station and coffee for patients, and the parking lot has patient only parking. I opted to come in an earlier time slot (9:30) to rip off the bandaid. I'm so glad I did. The only issue with the facility is they have one machine, so it's one person at a time. Mandi was my technician, and she was so incredibly kind and caring. She truly put me at ease, and I enjoyed talking with her during the process. I would absolutely come back to TOPS. The excellent care I received today was beyond any expectations I had. read more

I have used this center for years - never a bad experience - BUT FIX YOUR SCHEDULING SYSTEM!! How are you down 3+ weeks, unable to take patient calls to schedule or cancel appointments?? ALL LOCATIONS?? It's ridiculous - get a high schooler to come in and help - I'm sure they could figure it out, because your IT/tech team is terrible. I've been calling multiple times a day for several days to schedule an appointment. I finally found a different phone number than the one on my orders, but no one answered that number either. It went to the same recording and no one picked up the phone. I've waited 5-20 minutes with each call, again without anyone answering the phone. I've had several mammograms at this location and have always been very pleased with the service and caring technicians. I guess it's time to look for another option. Very disappointing! read more

TOPS is a physician owned facility that should consider a complete overhaul!!!! If I could give this place a -0 (negative zero), I would. It has taken me a very long time to review Tops Comprehensive Breast Center because of the trauma experienced during a visit there. Once upon a time, this was a really nice place with caring and professional people. I don't know what happened. Maybe changes in management? The steps taken to schedule my appointment went well. I was contacted with a reminder about being overdue for my yearly mammogram and my appointment was made and confirmed via email. I had this email readily available with me when I went to my appointment. The country's dealing with the scare of Covid, folks are unsure of their jobs, and I have to drive many miles to my appointment. I recently relocated. Immediately upon entry, I felt the dark and negative energy from the person behind the desk. She immediately says, "you may not be able to be seen today". No "hello" or any cordial salutation. She asked me for my doctor's orders which I clearly did not have since my entire process was done via email and I was not reminded about the need to have an order from my doctor. I attempted to explain how my appointment was scheduled while pulling out my email. I was handed a clipboard and I sit down to begin to complete the form. Suddenly I hear, "you can't be seen today..." being yelled from across the room...so much for HIPPA, right? My experience with Vanessa was HORRIBLE and beyond disrespectful. She was cold, thoughtless, and had absolutely no empathy for me as a patient. I would've been satisfied with, "I'm sorry you had to drive such a distance to get hear, let me reach out to your GYN and see if she can fax or email us the order" or "I'm sorry, is it ok if I reschedule your appointment?" It's really not that difficult. Needless to say, I was not well upon exiting the building. I sat in my vehicle for well over a hour which is the time it took to compose myself and make it home safely. I didn't wait long before reaching out to Vanessa's supervisor Breanne. I explained step-by-step every single thing that happened and how it affected me. I have yet to receive a reply from this "leader". I have never returned to this facility since then and I never will! I don't plan to ever recommend their "services" to ANYONE!!!! read more

While I have had a mammo every year for years here and even two dx mammos, I will never return in future after this year. The staff, minus a curt front desk person at the Woodlands location, are lovely--kind, warm, gentle, and friendly, but they have outsourced their billing and it is a nightmare to reach a person to get answers/rectify a billing issue. Save yourself the headache and find a different provider. read more

DO NOT GO TO THE KINGWOOD OFFICE Lazy and unprofessional staff. I had an appointment the was cancel on me the day of because they wanted to leave early. They left me a vague message and sent an email only telling me to call them by noon. No explanation was given no reason. When I called back there was no answer. I drove to the office 15 minutes before my appointment and the doors were lock. No note to apologies. Finally someone from The Woodlands left me a message stating the Kingwood Office decided to close early since I guess it was a slow day. THAT WAS MY DAY OFF! SO TACKY AND UNPROFESSIONAL. I have always found this facility to be competent at their job. However, I am in agreement with others that it is changed over time. They concern over people that have been in the waiting room for lengthy periods of time and or communicating with people outside. The office area is rather poor. I'm not only witnessed one woman who waited for a very long time according to her be told that they didn't realize she needed a certain kind of appointment when I clearly heard her say that she did was pretty sad. What a disappointment for her. This last time when I went for my mammogram that part went well and then I requested that they send the results to my physician . Not ordering physician a different physician. Needless to say I've called twice and this third call. They tell me that I didn't have something on file that they needed in order for them to do that. The day I was there, I asked her to send it to my physician gave them the fax number she looked everything up and said she would do that. The second time again they just said they would do that. Now it's the third time and I finally hear that. I don't have a release on file. And yet I'm pretty sure every time I walk in that office I have to allow that release. To take three different times to get one thing done is really tiresome. The attention to detail is no longer there. read more

I went for an appointment and was told I was required to pay. Four months later I was refunded for the appointment because my insurance covered it. I went for another appointment, explained my insurance covered it and did not need to pay, but was still asked to. I did, and haven't been refunded even though my appointment was now FIVE months ago. This review is not about the center, but about their online scheduling. Site allows you to type in all information but does nothing when you click "make appointment". I finally had to schedule over the phone and was told there have been many complaints about the same issue. The response from management is that it is a non-compatible browser. So instead of management finding a more advanced scheduling program company to allow patients to use an iphone to make an appointment, they just settle for unhappy customers instead. Unfortunately, this lack of technology has a direct reflection on Tops and has me wondering what other technology of theirs is that archaic. read more

I received excellent service from the moment the receptionist greeted me. The radiologist was professional and kind. My condition was explained in terms that I could understand as well as the next step. The follow up call I received was done in a timely manner and all my questions were answered. Called to schedule a appointment. The person kept talking over me and was loud and rude when I tried to ask a question. No one wants to do this test. So a little kindness goes a long way. They don't know what health problems we are dealing with when we call to schedule a appointment but are so rude. I will pass. I was hoping it was a fluke so I called back today at 130. Went through the same thing and once again waited 10 minutes with no answer. I am so sorry that Angela L had a horrible experience at this location. First, Melissa in appointments at the Red Oak location was so empathetic, helpful and down-right AMAZING! She did a lot of the leg work that I needed transferring from another center plus she called me the day of the appointment to confirm I was going! At the Kingwood center, they were friendly and the Radiologist who performed my ultrasound was witty and warm. After she finished, the Doctor (very nice tall lady with a smile) came in and wanted to look at the cyst on the machine also. They asked me to turn on my side, which the other center did not, so they could see the image better. The Doctor explained that all looked really good and we would follow back up in a year. I like they way the treated me and made me feel like I was their only patient. I LOVE Melissa, Rochelle & the staff at the Kingwood office. read more

I will never go back here. There were two staff members at the desk. One was pleasant, but the other was rude, belligerent, and down right "hick". I would not send my dog to this place. This person was completely uncaring and unempathetic and should not be working at a breast center with that kind of attitude. read more
