Great location in Spencerport, plenty of parking in this plaza. Smaller store that allows easy navigation throughout the place. I stop in here when I'm in the area and I'm in a hurry. Seems most people shop at bigger places. The staff in the bakery are especially friendly to small kids. Lots of unique items here too, I can always find some fantastic dessert at a good price. Theres a small area with clearance products, make sure to check that out! I've found some steal of a deals there. read more

They have some iffy prices. However, if you have the bonus card, they can be just right. They do sell name brands and organic products that are great compared to Wegmans(barely has name brands anymore) read more

I called to see if they had wiper fluid and the customer service girl on the phone was HORRIBLE! She said "I don't know, have a good day" and hung up. Thank goodness we drove all the way out there and saw that the wall was full with wiper fluid. It would be nice if the people who get paid to do a job would actually do their job! read more

I'm very unhappy and frustrated that you close at 11. It's cheaper and more convenient for the people who work B shift and live in spencerport. Now I have to pay extremely high price to get stuff I need at the gas station and they don't have the stuff people need all because you guys want to close at 11. You could at least stay open till 12. Weekends the lines are outrageous and slow and the workers just hide and play on their phones so they don't have to cash people out. read more

Really taking a liking to this place. Much better than the other grocery store that preceded it. It's very clean here. And I do love when they reduce the meat early in the morning... I get some great deals then!!! Also I love it it's right next door to a very clean dollar tree. read more

I love having this grocery store in town It doesn't try to be a wegmans. It's just a good grocery store They stock most of what you want For sure you have to check the sale flyer There are great sales. Often two for one Check out the sales on the meat. It get low enough to make you change your original meal plan They do use a store card that you get at customer service to get most of the discounts ( I saved $40.00 off a 96 bill to make it $66.00). So get a card!! The veggies are fresh and they are continually stocking ( they don't wait for night time) to do that Always specials on cakes and pastries Not a big seafood section. Just the most popular items I find the isles tight and hard to navigate if it's crowded There are self checkouts for easy in and out. I love this Tops. I just wish it was closer to my home. It is so organized and clean. I also find it more stocked than the Gates location. There produce looks way better than Gates as well. This location is small but always full with what I need. I really like the location too because it is surrounded by other stores I need to go to. I get a kinda creepy, deserted vibe from this store. It's conveniently located, and decent prices... but it's no Wegmans. And it's small and cramped. Employees were OK but not particularly "friendly" as the title suggests. We stop here sometimes if we need one or two things, but if you can, drive the extra distance to get to Wegmans. read more

Good to have a decent supermarket in Spencerport. This Tops location has a slightly different aesthetic that many of the others in neighboring towns. It is newer than most and slightly smaller. Although smaller, it's still fully equipped and will meet your basic needs. This is a total upgrade from the last grocery store in this location and after closing, there were several years that Spencerport did not have a local grocer in town. The Tops in Spencerport is fairly newer than most of the Rochester locations, and has yet to get that 'Tops' smell, if you know what I mean. This TOPS does not have a pharmacy, but there is a Rite Aid next door. They often have good BOGO deals. This week in their paper they have a Buy 2, Get 3 Free for Bacon, Berries, Tositos, and Triscuits. This is helpful if you have a household full of kids. Tops is a place that I go for specific things when they are on sale. They run great deals on their gas points programs. Some people save enough points to get their gas at 50 cents a gallon. They are trying to expand their products, but you will have less options than Wegmans. I was able to find some Gluten Free products for my mother last week. Their beer selection has all of the macrobrewed, get anywhere kind of stuff. Tops is a convenient place to stop in Spencerport, and is way better than the previous IGA that was here. read more

We went into there meat department shortly after 6:00 PM for ground beef, and there were only two large packages available. So I politely asked the lady if she would grind me up a smaller amount, about 1 or more pounds.... She replied with an abrupt NO, she offered no apologies and not even a smile! Very bad attitude! This is a newer Tops in the area but compared to the other Tops, this branch has a lovely interior layout. It is easy to roam the aisles and find what you are looking such as milk and meat products for example. I have never seen it trashy or dumpy so they either have good luck charms nailed to the walls or they simply like to keep a neat store. I like to come here when I need something quick and easy because of its close location to my house. The staff is very kind and attentive and are easy to find most of the time. Overall, I can safely say that Tops is truly, a friendly market. read more

This store is very clean and organized. However compared to the Tops I used to shop at it's very small. The aisles are small, tight, and cramped. It's very hard to maneuver around in this store, and honestly the set up is screwed up as well. I will def drive 25 minutes back to the Tops I used to shop at just to avoid this one. read more

It's clean. They have a good selection of in-store bakery items. The meat department is well-stocked and reasonably priced. The people are friendly and helpful. Pro: It's a well-lit, open-when-I-need-them supermarket. Con: They've gotten away from the old straight-aisled supermarket and gone to the newer trend of departmentalizing things into "blocks", and simple things are sometimes hard to find, like deodorant, toothpaste, etc. read more

This is a good Tops. Rocks that it's open 24/7. Self checkout. Always clean and fresh, with friendly staff. Plus they took good care of that mom duck while she was sitting on her eggs. You gotta love it. Quality sales crop up from time to time. Oh, and the cheese samples at the deli. FTW read more

It's great to have a grocery store in town and compared to previous stores at location it's clean and with a great variety for a small store! When they offer BOGO free deals you can get some decent deals. But they are not nearly as good as advertised as they jack the prices to falsely advertise the deal. Tops puts items on special for a couple weeks than raise prices hoping the customer won't realize. While some specials are decent Wegman's is almost always cheaper on items I buy. Milk, eggs, bagels, blueberries, humus, cheese. While Wegman's can be expensive they always over basics at a far cheaper price than Tops and they don't engage in price manipulation. Can always find basics at Wegman's at a far cheaper price than Top's every day and not have to wait BOGO deal or price manipulation. read more

I recently moved back to this area of the country from the West Coast and made a brief stay in Spencerport before finding my apartment in the Roc...this is when I started shopping at this Top's store. As some may know, things out West are a little...let's just say more laid back. So, shopping for me can sometimes get stressful and it's difficult to find a store that I can enjoy the experience at and also feel as though I am not going through legalized "highway robbery." Well, despite having moved to where there is another Top's technically closer and more "conveniently located," I still come back a little out of my way geographically speaking for the better selection and EXCEPTIONAL customer service I have always received and ABSOLUTELY adore about this store! This store gives me fabulous weekly grocery deals, gas points (just got a full tank of gas for free I had so many saved up *WHOA*), and most of their employees are so friendly and helpful that I feel back home again. Alyssa and Brittany in customer service are so patient, even when customers are coming at them like rapid fire machine guns...always with friendly attitudes and happy faces. Vinessa in the bakery has one of the most cheerful smiles that you can't help but smile back, and buy some of their great tasting, freshly baked in store breads and sweets. Brandon in the butcher area will always help you find just the right cut and size of some of the nicest looking meats at a supermarket in the area while maybe even making you giggle in the process. Emmaline is just one of the super nice checkers that make the end of a sometimes long shopping trip so refreshing with their smiles and fun chit chat. I like this Tops. Its got a decent layout, good selection and the buy 2 get 3 deals are awesome. But sometimes the quality is lacking and there's really nothing special about any Tops store. The employees are nice. I will go to this Tops before I go to any Wegmans, but I would buy everything from Trader Joe's if possible. read more

This Tops Market makes for a nice grocery addition in Spencerport, NY. The updated look of this branch works wonders in comparison of the look of the older Tops Markets. Aisle are easy to shop, and the display cases are full and nicely arranged for a pleasing and enticing look. The produce is fresh and the meats are tasty. Prices are comparable and work with the many specials and coupons offered in the store's flyers. One of the best aspects of a Tops Markets shopping experience is gaining gas points to redeem at their stations. Slayton Ave has some of the lowest gas prices are featured in regards to other stations in the Rochester suburbs. It is easily one stop shop n' gas fill-up. read more

It is unfortunate that Tops Friendly Market in Spencerport does not provide standard customer service of bagging groceries. They actually employee someone to watch over several self help stations as customers handle their own transactions and bag their own groceries. There are very few traditional grocery lines with an employee to greet you and bag. In order to compete with competition in the area, you must provide a service to your customers when shopping at your store. If I want to bag my own groceries, I will visit discount market stores to do so. read more
