Top tier local grocery store in Orchard Park NY. TOPS is well known for its full service business model. The produce is perfection! Beautifully displayed in a very large section of the store front. I grabbed fresh corn on the cob just because it was so plump and ripe! Our mission today is to grab a 10 piece deep fried chicken from the Carry Out Cafe. Hot and fragrant, the temptation to eat it in the car is so strong, so we hid it away in the trunk. We do recommend Tops for all your groceries. read more

Their Grocery pickup up is insufferable. When ordering groceries for pick up online I was told my order was ready two hours early.... Great! I get to the store when my pick up window originally was set for, I'm the only one waiting for groceries, and then continue to wait over 30 minutes for groceries to come out. I tried to call the store and was sent to voicemail. Not worth ordering online. read more

My 75 year old sister purchased a case of water for under $4.00 that the cashier failed to place in her cart. When she realized that she did not have it, she called the store and was told to just bring in her receipt and get the water. When I took her back the next day, they refused to honor her receipt and told her she may be trying to steal the water. How ludicrous that a 75 year old woman would go all the way back to the store to steal a case of water that costs less than $4.00. They know what items have been left behind after being paid for but the service desk could not be bothered to check. read more

I hate coming to this store. The clerks are extremely rude and standoffish. That's why I go across the street to Aldi's whenever I can. I only come here when I absolutely can't find it anywhere else. Prices are extremely high and ring up differently at the register than what is on the package. When you inquire they roll their eyes and shrug their shoulders. I hate this place! read more

horrible experience I am a Instacart shopper and I've had several people while they're cashing me out complain about how they don't like cashing out Instacart orders. I also try to make things very easy for cashiers so I went to self with 27 items total while there was six other I had both of the people watching the front come over to me and yell at me for using a self and they didn't approach me nice at all. They were very ignorant. Also, there are very few cashiers that actually do their job. They will stand around while you're waiting to be ID at self check out for five minutes while they look at you and walk all the other way read more

This is a typical Top's store, and that is a good thing. You can find just about anything at a reasonable price. The only issue is that this location still has the single-use bottle returns: one machine for cans and another machine for bottles. If you have a mixture of both to return, you might have to wait for someone else to finish his return before you have a free machine. By contrast, some locations, such as the one at 4777 Transit Road in Depew, have the new machines that can handle both cans and bottles. You can pick a free machine and stay parked at it for returning all your containers. This is not a huge problem but just something to be aware of. I am sure one day this location will upgrade its container return machines. read more

Not to be confused with Cops, which are wayyyy more expensive (when they pull you over) and wayyyy more dangerous (depending on which Cops). Located around the back of one of my favorite places in Orchard Park where I go for salad when I'm down here, this Tops has a few issues. It's busy and it's hard to get into and they've been out of things that I needed a couple of times like kale for example. And then another time it was wilted kale, when it was supposed to be fresh. So it's not my favourite store and the prices are always jacked up (like me, oooh) when it's supposed to be a kind of a discount store. But as I said that is not the worst location and the girl checking me out the most recent time I was here was super friendly. And was checking me out. In more ways than one. read more

This review is strictly for the fish fry. You don't go to an Italian restaurant to order pierogi in Western New York and you shouldn't go to this tops to order a fish fry. it was Friday and I had to go there anyway so I figured why not, however once I got it home I found a flat piece of what tasted like week old fish and smelled that way too, with a tough hard breading?. The coleslaw was pre-packaged and completely tasteless, no seasoning whatsoever and the fries tasted like they had been sitting around for hours, stale and tough. After two bites of this meal, it ended up in the garbage. Step it up tops, you can do better than this. read more

Oh my god! This place has recently re-opened with a new indoor style/decor. I stopped going to the other Tops, Orchard Park Road, because they do not refill self check scale paper. This one was cool, for a bit. I run in because it is easier to use a self check out. My fav store - WEGMANS - does not offer this option in West Seneca. This place was fine. For a bit. For the past three/four days I have stopped in to get corn. They have Amaize. If you haven't tried it, better yet. More for me. For the past visits I have found no freaking paper in the self serve scales. I HAVE INFORMED WORKERS ABOUT THIS. Guess what - as of 12noon today - still no papers. I don't need this hassle at the self check out. I shall be visiting a Wegmans farther away. Screw Tops. read more

I am forced to shop at Tops for small trips due to the closure of Orchard Fresh. I'll admit, the inside does look pretty good, and they have some decent niche products, but, as someone who used to go to the Tops in EA, I can't help but say, well, it's still Tops. 1) Just yesterday, I discovered a bottle of juice that I picked up had a best buy date of January 2020 - 4 months, 4 months! 2) The grassfed ground beef smelled rancid and I didn't end up using it. When you pay extra for something, you expect it to not to assault your senses. On a side note, Tops doesn't carry organic ground beef, because it's still 2004. I used to have to go to the the Tops in EA because it was closer to me and I would have to inevitably return something due to spoilage, past dates, etc. Tops is still Tops, it appears. These things never occur when you shop at Wegman's, and never occurred when I went to Orchard Fresh. read more

I love shopping at Tops. They always have good bargains and they always have what I need. I have a bonus card and I'm always amazed at how much money is deducted from the bill at the end. And to top it off, I earn money off of gas at the Tops pumps. Today I earned .10 cents off a gallon. Last week I was up to .30 cents a gallon. When I shop at Wegman's I'm lucky if I get anything off my bill with their shoppers club card. read more

Purchased baby back ribs on 10-12-2011. I opened the package and the meat smelled extremely foul. The expiration date on the package was 10-24-2011. I returned the baby back ribs within one hour of purchase. I spoke to manager of the store and informed him the meat was rotten and gave him the ribs to smell. His reply, "yeah okay". I had other customers take a smell, they too confirmed that the meat was rotten. The manager directed me to customer service for a refund. Not a single apology for the rotten meat or my travel time wasted for this return. The woman at customer service even deducted the Tops Shopper Club card points for the return, again, no apology. Terribly rude service. Don't buy meat from Tops on Soutwestern in Orchard Park unless you want your kitchen to smell like sun baked animal road kill. read more

I shop at tops almost everyday. I have never ate in their cafe area until today and it will be my last. I was appalled with the behavior of the employees sitting near me on break. They were saying that it was rude for me to sit at a table that sits 2. After they did this, they then told another employee that they could sit next to me. They were extremely immature and disrespectful. I wish I had their names because they do not deserve to have their lunch break in front of customers. read more
