The management of the Orchard Park Wegman's does not care about customers, does not enforce store policy, and does not respond to complaints sent through their website. I've encountered the same annoying problem here several times. The employees are unaware of store policies, and management refuses to enforce them. I've brought it to the attention of the managers each time it happened, but they do not provide truthful, believable answers. I've also sent two requests through the website, yet haven't gotten a response, or even a confirmation e-mail acknowledging that my messages were received and concerns are being investigated. This is discouraging as I've spent thousands at this store since I moved to the neighborhood a few years ago. I'll now give my future business to the nearby Tops and Aldi's, and buy the few things I need from Wegman's at the McKinley store. read more

This location is always clean, has the best cut of meat, Lines are always quick. It's a little bit pricier than tops across the street, but you get what you pay for. Bathrooms are always exceptionally clean. Best time to go is in the evening after dinner time. Less lines, and you can get in and out quicker. read more

Large supermarket that have everything and anything you need. Their cafe selection was abit smaller than other locations but still had many options. I'm a longtime fan of Wegmans and was excited to come shop while on my mini-vacation. I could actually use my Wegmans card here (still have it on my keyring) while the Wegmans in nyc doesn't offer/accept the shop's card (yet). Them savings are amazing! Came here looking for pizza ingredients for pizza/game night with friends. Found large container of Wegmans house-made pizza sauce and great selection of cheese. No deal on pepperoni. The pizza dough was frozen which wouldn't work as it needed to be thaw for a few hours. read more

I. Love. Wegmans!! The fresh food cafe alone is worth a visit. If you're shopping I highly recommend not going hungry. There are sooo many options here for grocery. My personal favorite is the wegmans brand sauces and marinades. I'm about of towner so I always shop and the eat in the cafe. We had an awesome sub. Di Bella's replica. Great bread and quality meats. Get a Danny's way and don't skip the cherry pepper relish. Going to the bakery is also on the list when we go here. Can't go wrong with anything they make. Growing up, Wegmans subs were top-tier lunches and/or dinners for me. When it comes to their cold cuts-style subs, I honestly can't think of any other pizza/sub shop that compares to a Danny's Favorite! I came in around 6:15pm on a Saturday night and was immediately tended to. The gentleman behind the counter that assembled my sub was great - patient, attentive, and friendly. Everyone behind the counter moves efficiently and I felt like it wasn't even 2 minutes and I had my sub in hand to pay for it. I ordered a medium (10" long) Danny's Favorite [spicy ham, capicola, and salami] on a wheat roll, with green leaf mix blend, tomato, onion, sweet peppers, hot banana peppers, black olives, pickles, cucumbers, plain mayonnaise, Signature Oil, and pepper jack cheese. One of the things I truly love about a Wegmans sub is how much meat and toppings they put in their subs. Their Signature Oil is amazing on its own but paired with mayonnaise, it just adds a little creaminess and balances the oil out so it's not overpowering. Of course, all of the toppings add a cavalcade of texture and flavor and makes me soo happy. Their sub prices are incredibly reasonable and are an excellent value given the size and portions they consistently provide. I'm happy to have this Wegmans Sub Shop close by and won't hesitate to come back for another sub. read more

I did my weekly shop at Wegmans on Orchard park rd this week and picked up a pre-made quesadilla. We cooked it last night making sure to heat all the way through (using a thermometer I hate cold leftovers). Well WHILE it was cooking soooo much grease came out that I had to press on it with paper towels. I only used Pam in the pan so it wasn't the cooking method. The flavor was very bland, they used rotisserie chicken but did not add any seasoning. Both my wife and I got stomach cramps later that night, I should have just made my own version from scratch for way less than 18.50. Oh and I forgot to mention it was a chicken and cheese quesadilla but there was no cheese to be found maybe the grease that came out was a cheese by product. read more

Finally got in my very first Wegman's visit! We don't have these down south, so it was nice to pop in and see what's on offer up north. When I lived in Indiana, this wasn't the main chain either. :) The parking lot was huge and had plenty of spots. They had fun festive Halloween / Fall stuff outside, which felt really welcoming on the way in. They have fun recycle machines upfront that give you change for turning in cans and glass - wish we had those down here to help incentive people to recycle more!! We were told by a local to grab a "bucket" of chocolate chip cookies from their bakery area, cause I'm a cookie fanatic. And boy were they right, those were DELICIOUS! There are about 15 of them in the bucket for $15.00 - so a good deal at only $1 / each. They had plenty of cashiers and checkout was a breeze. Overall: A A fun first visit to this chain and definitely get the cookies from the bakery! read more

Now I live 30 seconds from a tops market but I drove from Orchard Park into West Seneca specifically to go to Wegmans because I know they have the selection that I'm looking for. Went there on a Saturday afternoon, which I thought was a busy time, looking for flavored seltzer water. Upon arrival literally the entire aisle was empty except for plain flavored seltzer water. We are currently in corn season - oh it's so short lived. Anyway. Daughter and I were at this location and she had a coupon for a "5 Pack" of shucked corn. I NEVER EAT STUFF LIKE THIS! Also, I had been to my local farmer in Hamburg to purchase corn, beets, cherry tomatoes and some other local goodies. She got the free pack to cook up for the cats and bunny, they all like corn. I like this location better than my usual one, which is Dick Road, however, when I visited this location to secure some last minute ingredients for a Mother's Day dinner, the checkout experience was less than desirable. The cashier didn't bag my groceries correctly. I have my own shopping basket and everything fit perfectly in it when I was in the store shopping. He didn't know how to bag my groceries in the basket and by the time he rung up my oat milk, just couldn't understand why it didn't work. So I went in there, before checking out and rearranged everything. Then, he forgot to include my greeting card in my order. This led me to drive 20 minutes home and then call the store asking if my greeting card was still there. The card was, at the service desk, and I had two options; either eat the really ridiculous price of the card, or go back and collect it. At 10pm at night, I drove back to West Seneca and got the card. I wish they could have refunded my credit card over the phone, or provided some other alternative. Driving an extra 40 minutes round trip was not how I wanted the rest of my Saturday night to go. read more

I'm not at this Wegmans often but since I've been in the area quite a bit recently I've been a few times. It's smaller than plenty of the other Wegmans around. Kind of nice. Except that also means it's "Market" area is smaller. So no Asian hot foods section for example. The seating area is also smaller. But for shopping it's great because it's smaller. Much easier all around. Gotta say, makes it much more pleasant. Easy parking, because, again, it's not as crowded as others. read more

This store is great!!! I don't go here often because I plan to go in for one thing and I spend between $50 and $100. (Also, because I have a second job at their competitor--my time is precious!! I didn't want to go there on my night off and I hadn't been to Wegmans in forever.) I went there to buy cat treats for my best friend's cat. They were $8.45 for the cat treats. I ended up buying many things that I didn't need but that I'll still use. (In total, I spent $61.24.) Wegmans' bakery is the BEST!!! I bought a pastry heart and two snowman cookies. The pastry heart looked perfect as did the cookies. The cookies were great. (I've been to this location many times. Everything in their bakery is awesome. I enjoy their donuts too.) I bought a Santa Buffalove mask. It was cute and called out to me. Their produce is the freshest here and their sushi is awesome. Their subs at their sub shop are awesome as is their hot bar and Market Cafe. Their cashiers are pleasant and have awesome customer service skills, as evidenced by my visit today. read more

Okay, so I realize Wegmans might be a strange place to go while on vacation out of state, but hear me out. Sometimes, you just got to have a cookie. No, seriously though. For those of you that have been following my other reviews from our Buffalo trip, you will have noticed that we have the same bartender at two of the restaurants pubs we went to. That said, it shouldn't surprise you that she's the one who recommended going here for cookies, haha. For even more back story as to why we would do something so strange, you should probably know that my wife has an addiction to chocolate chip cookies, bordering on needing help for it. Kidding! (Sort of...) But I digress, as I'm getting off on too many tangents here. That said, that effectively made this a mission impossible mission oriented trip. We went in, found said tub--yes, tub--oh chocolate chip cookies, and got out. And you know what? They were freaking delicious. So aside from checking off the box of delicious cookies (clearly the most important part of the trip), the store was clean, well-organized, and the people working there were friendly. These are all things I look for in pretty much any place I go. Other than that, it had the pretty standard grocery store feel. Each have their own personality, and this one was no different. Wegman's.. how I love thee, let me count the ways. No matter what time of day you go in or what day you go in, the shelves are always stocked. It's the kind of store that you always run into someone you know. The assortment of fruit and vegetables especially the organic foods is amazing. Cheese, if you can't there, you'll find it nowhere. Employees are extremely helpful. I can honestly say I have never gotten an attitude from any employee. The bakery is exceptional. The store I frequent on Orchard Park Road has a fabulous baking staff. Sometimes you're just looking around and an employee will ask you if they can help and they usually will steer you to something you never thought of trying and it's always a success. Another successful and fulfilling lunch at Wegmans salad bar. I go to Wegmans often on my lunch break and never fails to satisfy my taste buds and keep my wallet thick. My favorite part of the salad bar there is that they always keep it FRESH and change up the options every couple days. Another great thing they have for those who venture out for lunch to Wegmans are; soups, sandwich's, Chinese food, pizza, fresh sushi, and a sub line. However they do have low prices Their wegmans brand of every single thing on the market is top notch. So go generic and save and know you are getting the very best. It's Wegman's, man. Best large grocery / super market going. That's just a fact. However, this older installation in West Seneca simply cannot measure up to the larger stores elsewhere in the suburbs. It still has a lot of the comfortable trappings that those other stores have, just on a smaller scale. Smaller Carry-out Cafe, smaller organic section, smaller international section... But it is still a better alternative than any other super market, in Buffalo or otherwise. read more

Wegmans never disappoints, and if you are unhappy with something they have no problem giving you a refund. Wegmans is my favorite place to shop because they have everything. From fresh produce, to their amazing baked goods, to all your regular and seasonal grocery items. All of the employees stand out from other companies because wegmans works hard to make sure they are treated right. This is the Wegmans I grew up with. Actually, I remember the old location across the parking lot when I was pretty young. When the new store was built, it seemed so big and modern. Compared to the Wegmans in Virginia.....this location is pretty small. Which means the original store was pretty tiny. Alas.... its perfect for the local community, offering all the great things Wegmans is known for. Except that NY State is not cool enough to allow our grocery stores the ability to sell wine. Despite all the things that make Weggies so great.... fresh, diverse produce.... huge selection of international and organic foods.... fantastic breads and pizzas.... convenient carryout and dine-in food options.....the best of the best grocery brands.... There is nothing better than an extensive wine selection next to the cheese shop. I have a hard time coming back to Buffalo and looking at the Wegmans Cheese Shop. It just looks so empty without the Wine Shop adjacent. read more

I love wegmans. The cafe area has fresh delicious prepared foods, including vegan options like sauteed vegetables and tofu. They have seating for you to enjoy your food as well. A nice grocery store with friendly staff. I bought their organic spring mix from Wegmans and it went bad the next day (maybe wasn't properly sealed?). I returned it for a new one with no problem. The staff are always helpful and friendly, the groceries fresh. Good subs and salad bar. Not a huge fan of the hot bar. Their salmon was bland and under seasoned, Chinese is good depending on the day. read more

Like the rest of you, I am a sucker for Wegmans. No one can match their quality of produce or prepared supermarket foods. Wegmans makes it fun to shop. My boyfriend and I have to be careful sometimes not to go too much, whereas many people find grocery shopping to be a chore! What I love about Wegs is that you can purchase items that no other place carries while doing your weekly grocery shopping. The beer selection is fantastic, the cheese selection is overwhelmingly large, the 10 dollar thin crust pizza is scrumptious, and the freshly baked bread never disappoints. We usually only order our subs here because they do not skimp and their rolls are fresh. I often buy my flowers here because they usually have a beautiful array of varieties, colors, and bouquets for a decent price. And, the list of positives goes on and on. There are so many great things about this supermarket. However, my biggest complaint is how crowded it is. The Amherst St. Wegs is always jammed pack with people shopping. It is always a struggle to get by other people with your cart and their cart! Sometimes people are so impatient, and it is very stressful trying to navigate the store. Many times I wont go only because I do not feel like dealing with the mobs. And, almost every time I am in there, I run into someone I know! To solve this problem, I try to go to Wegs on off times- early in the am, or in the middle of the night. Some of their prices are a little high (especially produce), but like I said, it is good quality. In the fall and summer I'd rather hit up farmer's markets. read more

Despite its super market label, Wegmans pays close attention to quality and locality. A lot of their produce comes from local farms. All their locations are well-staffed with working students. This is the best store. My mom ordered a cake for my grandma's birthday and the picture she wanted on the cake didn't turn out right. They made a nice cake with writing on it instead, and went above and beyond by compensating my mom with a free cake and more. My mom was so surprised with how it was handled that she cried a little bit. Erin in the bakery is wonderful and great at her job.
