This isn't your ordinary fast food taco stand. As the sign says, they're damn good. So is the ambiance. The service is fast and friendly. Our table ordered Baja shrimp, beef fajita, and trailer park. We shared queso and chips. It was all fresh and tasty. The restaurant is clean and well decorated. It even has a well stocked bar and happy hour.

I love Torchys! This is location is awesome. Came by here on my way to Dallas. The staff is super nice and the inside has lots of seating, bar area, and clean bathrooms. Tacos and chips were great as usual!

The vibe: Let's get a drink or two plus a Taco or two. This place caught my attention with the Tokyo Drifter Taco of the Month. (Im a sucker for cute advertising) Then they held my attention with the beautifully detailed food pictures and stunning decor. I thought a place that cares this much about presentation must know how to make a decent burrito. The fact that they offer protein bowls sent my low carb heart racing. When we entered we were so confused because like wheres the door and wheres the line??? Also we are a good Christian household and the defacement on the works of art was disturbing. Service was arrigh, they all seemed confused because we had 5 different orders. We were even more confused. Only because we didnt realize its tacos not burritos!! So they were tiny servings. My husband ordered the Hogfather bowl without corn ofc. And idk what we were doing but i asked if it was a protein bowl, like they featured. But idk what they gave us a tiny portion less than a scoop of ice-cream that you get at Baskin Robins these days. My bad tho for thinking it was a burrito bowl, Makes sense because that's how much is in a Taco. But I ended up getting a flour tortilla anyways. I had to get two but wished I had gotten 3. A girls gotta splurge sometimes. All the time. I will always get the torilla. #ketoforlife #butnottoday Oh yeah food was Tasty but not to die for Service Rushed even tho one person behind us Cleanliness Bathrooms were ew but not to the extreme and tables were sticky Price per serving It's average

Why do people like this??? I love tacos. It hurts me to write a bad review of any taco, but these were the saltiest two tacos I have ever had in my entire life. The tortillas were ice cold, and there was hardly any sauce on them. They were just horrible. I got the trailer park and the Baja shrimp. I wanted to start with those two and then go back and get more but both of them were so horrible. There was no way to go back. What am I missing? Why does everyone think these horrible tacos are so good? They aren't even cheap. It was almost 15 bucks for two tacos. Never again will I go back never again Forgot I also got the queso. Way too salty. I can eat a tiny bit at a time. So it will take me a week to eat it because of how salty it is.

After a long hike, tacos sounded amazing and luckily were just that. I ordered the taco of the month which was the American and one on the secret menu, the matador. Both were so so good and filling! I forgot how much I liked Torchy's taco.

The food was pretty good! I love Tex Mex and don't get it often. I got the Baja (fried shrimp) taco & a fried avocado taco. We also shared the queso. Queso - delicious, a bit spicy, and loaded with avocado and other goodness Baja taco - breading on the shrimp was a bit salty, pickled veggies are really good here Fried avocado - interesting taco. I like the refried beans on this. The tortillas were decent. Not sure if they're made in house, but they could have been softer. Service is friendly. We sat at the bar and watched a game. This place in counter service so you order, pick a seat, then they'll bring your food out. I would come back!

This place was a winner. Everything was delicious. Hubby loved his tacos. My salmon taco was perfect. We enjoyed the queso, as well. The restaurant is very casual--order at a counter and grab a table kinda place. There was plenty of seating. Staff were friendly. Parking was just a few steps away. We plan to return soon.

10/10 ridiculously amazing start to finish. Walking in the door first time. Amazing service The girl that served me. Was sooo nice. The food. Omg. Sooo good. Best queso I've ever ever had. The trailer park trashy tacos are fried chicken, cheesy and soo good. I can't wait to come back.

Fine tacos. I got a shrimp taco and it was not enough to make a meal but tasty. The sauces were good. Not too spicy.

For lunch during one of my days visiting Amarillo, I tried Yellow City Street Food off Wolflin. Inside, the space is cute. They have yellow chairs, pink walls, and cool artwork scattered throughout. When we ordered, the server was very helpful with recommendations and helped us land on what we ultimately chose. They also have a chef's daily special that rotates every day, and you never really know what he could be cooking up. The day we went, the special was Pad Kee Mao, which my girlfriend ordered with their fried tofu. As for me, I got their tacos. The first was their Hulk with jerk chicken, cotija, pineapple, and more, and the second was their Al Pastor with pork, crema, chile rojo, and more. Both came out looking fantastic and were absolutely crushed by me. One thing I noticed on their menu is their vast selection of vegan options. Most meat options usually have a vegan alternative with a specific replacement for the meat. For the Hulk, it's chickn soy curls, and for the Al Pastor, they use jackfruit. It's super innovative and very welcoming to vegan and vegetarian diners. I really like this approach instead of throwing the same meat substitute on everything. Knowing what works best with each dish can really make or break it. We also ordered a side of their Salt and Pepper Fries to share, which were well cooked, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I enjoyed the pepper seasoning on these quite a bit. To drink, we tried their blueberry pomegranate tea, which was delicious. I really liked my food here and, of all the places I tried in Amarillo, I would say this is definitely one of the best. It's unique without overdoing it, and you'll leave with a good meal in your stomach if you give them a shot. RIYL: Tacos, burgers, or honestly just about anything. They've got it all here.

I had the imposter with breaded mushrooms. Super crispy Cremini mushrooms with great crunch but the rest was kinda meh, romaine and drizzle of sauce and balsamic. At least with the pickled onions there was a little palate tease. Also tried the Al pastor with jackfruit. Opted for this version on a salad and it's a whopping serving size. Hearty serving of jackfruit with plenty of sauce and dressing. Had nice little nibs of some crunch too. Service was super, super nice. I'd call the inside dive-ish. Totally relaxed and chill ambiance. I'll be back to try more items! My one dislike was that I don't care for the balsamic drizzle on either dish... just doesn't pair well with these flavors. Side of pineapple was yummy to balance the heaviness of both dishes.
