This was the worst torchy tacos I've ever been to . This was the worst run taco joint / maybe even restaurant I've ever been to. It was maybe at 20% capacity and it took over 30min to get my order of 8 tacos. After finally asking them, I finally got the tacos but only 4 of them . Thank god I checked ... those 4 were not even cooked fully. I finally got the other 4 and they didn't even give me all the inner parts of it. I keep coming back here because the food is so good, but the service is absolutely atrocious. This place gets customer service wrong more times than right, and they do it wrong for both dine-in and also pick-up. The last two times we got our food to go using their app, I have twice requested grilled tacos but they gave me fried. It happened the first time, so I paid attention the second time. As soon as she gave me the order, I looked at the receipt and it said grilled shrimp. I was foolish enough to assume they were correct (they weren't), but I didn't check until I drove 15 minutes home. Now I have to decide whether to eat the fried shrimp (again), or waste my time and gas for them to correct another error? One of the first times I went in there, it was with my 14 year old daughter and my wife. They forgot my daughter's tacos. I went and told them and they said sure, no problem. Thinking her food was on the way, we started to eat. I had to ask three different people for my daughter's tacos, and my wife and I had eaten our entire meal before my daughter got her food. My daughter ended up taking her meal to go. Or we can talk about the time they didn't have any soap in the restroom. After standing around for 15 minutes and asking multiple people, someone finally put soap in the restroom. Part of why I had to stand around so long is because one employee didn't want to help. I told her there wasn't any soap in the restroom, and she said that's not "her job" and she pointed to the young woman at the register who was checking out a line of multiple orders. The bad part is that these aren't the only issues we have experienced. These are all that I remember clearly, but we have left Torchy's and felt like we had a bad experience in more ways than these. As I said at the start, the food is great. As a manager myself, I would be embarrassed if my staff acted in this manner. I keep hoping the will get it right and they rarely do. read more

I got the trailer park tacos and it was delicious! I couldn't even finish the 2nd one because it was topped with so much! The chicken in the taco was super seasoned and amazing. The servers were so sweet and made sure I was completely cared for! Will definitely come back for more! read more

ordered a grande burrito bowl today and it looked like a kids meal. Supposed to have potatoes, it didn't. barely covered the bottom of the bowl! Cold, missing potatoes and definitely NOT worth the cost since it was only 1/4 the amount it should've had My pregnant daughter really wanted this and it's a shame how little these people care about their jobs! Food is good but 50 times I've ordered the queso I ask nicely for no cilantro and diablo sauce but they do not listen. I try to call and order to make sure but they do not take phone orders any more. I've never been rude not once but you have lost a customer over a simple thing. read more

Instead I walked into Torshi's ordered tacos the lady goes behind the counter gets tacos out of a tree that's already been made and put them in a bag and hand them to me for six dollars a freaking taco. Disappointing if you are used to the ones in Austin. I don't recommend getting take out. I ordered my food online at 6:30 for pick-up at 8:00 after my yoga class. I got there around 7:45 and sat in curb-side for 30 minutes along with 6 other vehicles. Nobody ever came out. I tried calling 3 times. Nobody answered. I finally went in to see what the deal was. It was close to their closing time. Nobody behind the counter greeted me, asked what I needed etc. despite nobody else being there to order. 5-6 more people finally got out of their cars and came in behind me. An off-duty worker heard me and another woman talking about our long wait so she went to check on our food and came back to tell the other woman hers was "almost ready" even though she ordered an hour after me. Lol. Finally at 8:35, somebody comes to get my name and ask where I'm parked. I told her. At 8:45 she comes out with my food. No margaritas, which, mind you, was about one-third of my total. She goes back in to get them. $9.00 for "large" margaritas in a solo cup. I get home to eat. None of my tacos were even remotely warm. One was actually ice cold. No sauce with any of my tacos. My queso also didn't come with the chicharrones like advertised. Won't go back. read more

I wish I'd taken photos of our food tonight. We always love the queso so we decided to go to Taco Tuesday. Over the last year the food has been just not been very good (except the queso, it's always delicious). Tonight though, just as good as any Texas Torchy's we've ever had. It was amazing!!! NOT THIS ONE Friday April9, 2021 Took ten minute to take my order with three people talking with one lady who could figure out what she wanted had their attention. One the order was taken at 3:57 PM I had to ask where my food was at 4:26 after every new customer came in was served. While waiting the lady that took my order walked by several times looked at us and don't even bother to ask if we ate, where sitting and enjoying music, or dead!!?? Receive three tacos at 4:30 As expected it was sitting under a heat lamp or who know what because the flour tortillas were hard?!?!?!?! Really???? This was the worst Torchy's location I've been too. The tables were dirty and it was so hot in there. Also apparently the management forgot to put the cup order in cause we had to drink out of styrofoam cups with no lids (so I couldn't take my drink to go) Also my husband and I both ordered a trailer park trashy and neither one of us truly got a trailer park trashy. My taco was a chicken nugget with some shredded cheese wrapped in a tortilla (no pico, green chiles, queso) and my husbands taco had all the stuff plus lettuce (no lettuce on the trashy) the people in the kitchen obviously need better training on what goes on the tacos. Lake Charles you have a long way to go. You need to go to Houston to learn about customer service. Even the food doesn't taste the same. Extremely slow service. I waited 45 mins for two tacos and a queso. I noticed only two people inside who were waiting at tables for food (not sure how long they were there) they finally got their order 30 mins after I ordered and after asking the staff where their order was. One guy who came after me got his order before me. Only 3 people came in to pickup to-go orders so I'm very confused on what was taking so long. I have never been to a Torchy's so wanted to try it. Was on the way to Chick-fil-A when I seen this stop and was so curious so I stopped in to try this instead of the long line that wrapped around Chick-fil-A and I the best thing I got was the dessert of chocolate chip cookie dough fried .
