Wasn't impressed at all even though it was all the rage. The tacos were kind of weird in my opinion and the breakfast taco was flavorless. The cashier was also not too helpful with menu details and recommendations since we've never been there. Over all probably won't go back but I know lots of people who enjoy it. read more

My wife and I love going to Torchys. If you stop by get their chips and queso it is super delicious. All their food is great and I enjoy the breakfast tacos. Their salsa is . They are super fast at getting your order and everyone is super friendly. I always have a great experience. read more

Service is worst in town. I waited 45 minutes for a stinking taco and never received it. I told three different workers to go find my order and none ever came back with it. What sucks is they get your money AND TIP before u sit down. Went back to work hungry and really pissed off. read more

I want my money back. After several great experiences with the Torchy's in the DFW area, I was pretty excited when they came to the OKC area. The Norman location does not hold a candle to the DFW locations. My order (a Trailer Trash and a Democrat) took nearly 45 minutes to arrive. When it did, both items were lukewarm, if not cold. Both tortillas were actually cold, and also very stale. Also, the food was pretty bland. Easily the worst Torchy's I've been too. Take your time and money elsewhere. read more

I love the food and the environment, but they continue to forget to include certain sauces with the tacos in my to-go orders, which is super disappointing. This is the third time they have forgotten the bacon bourbon marmalade for the Tipsy Chick taco, and honestly that is what makes the taco good so it is just upsetting. Portion size was not at all what I expected. Nonetheless my food was pretty dang good. Was kind of let down to realize what you ordered was what you get just a taco, chips and queso or salsa would have been good to complete the meal if it would have came with it. These are the best tacos; my husband and I love to call the order in ahead of time and then avoid the line at the door that is invariably there on weekends and go right up to the counter to pay and then just pick it up. The sauces are so good and we love to see what the "Taco of the Month" will be each month which we usually try. It's nice to have a full bar too in the event we want to have brunch in the restaurant or outside on their great patio. I highly recommend Torchy's Tacos! read more

When this place opened, it was the bomb dot com. Since then, it has dropped off in quality. Not sure if this is from heavy turnover of servers/cooks due to college town living, but it's definitely showing. The food is still satisfactory for the price, but not the gem it once was. read more

I love this place! They have great vegetarian options. The flavor is out of this world! A taco is pretty filling. Eat that Qdoba! Qdoba who charges extra for vegetables. So I love this place. I've been here in the evening and yes it seems at 8:30 at night people decide to eat dinner because the line is longer and the wait is a bit longer. But i feel like it's worth it because the food is AWESOME! They balls on these people to put an automatic 20% tip on the bill. The only thing they are doing is dropping the food off at the table. They are doing no more than other fast food places. I don't mind tipping and I typically tip 25% or more at most restaurants but come on. read more

Very poor service every time I've been there. Either I've ordered take out, and the take out lane is closed, forcing me to wait in the long, long, order line. Or I order in, and my food takes forever to get to the table. Well today add to that the fact, they lost my order (or rather it went to another table ... or so the manager said). Eventually I got my order, but what used to be a special taco (the Scaling Pig) is not just a soggy mess of a shredded pork taco. No heat, not even any dare-to-go-there sauce. We've eaten here twice, the first time was good enough to make us come back but after our most recent visit we will not return. We ordered 8 tacos, were charged for 7 and received 6. Upon pointing this out to the cashier we simply asked for the one we were charged for and were told we would receive it. We waited over 20 minutes and never did. Not only this but the food made us sick...We have had upset stomachs now stretching into today. If this is your first time to try a Torchy's don't go to the one I'm Norman. I've moved from Austin and the tacos and service here is no good. For the price of tacos you would expect a good portion. Ordered the chicken fajita taco and received 2 chicken strips and a taco that was rolled into a ball. I like Torchy's but Norman is not doing a good job of of running this one and it's a poor reflection of the business Torchy's management tries to have. Gave one start because I had too. Hope improvements are made in the future or managers step up how things are ran for the business and Norman community. read more

Such a confusing rating. I have been a fan of torchys since I lived in Texas. I moved here right before this location opened. And I expected them to be a little scatter brained initially but it's been months and they can't figure stuff out. Every time we have come here they have been out of something. And you never know until you've stood in line and then you're talking to the ONE person taking orders. Tonight as I'm sitting here.... they are not as busy as usual but it's been 20 min and they still haven't brought out our margaritas. The management running this place and the idiots working make it really suck. But I freaking love tacos. Finally was able to try now that the "new" has somewhat worn off. The food was really good, salsa, tacos etc. minus 2 stars due to the horrendous volume of the music. I'm under 40 and don't usually mind hearing music but when I'm sitting directly next to my wife and us both are constantly saying "huh" during our conversation that's too loud. Came in around 12:15PM. Place was packed. Only seating was at the bar. We ordered the appetizer and then our food at the counter. Our food came out before our appetizer. Top it off it was cold. Anxiously awaited this opening for months and was so disappointed. I know it was opening week and that the food will probably still be warm when it arrives at the table when they get well trained in a few weeks. We ate lukewarm queso and COLD tacos. Had the Democrat and the meat seriously tasted canned. Queso was delicious even at room temperature. I went for an iced tea and dumped it out when I saw the pale color and tasted water with a hint of tea. I then turned to the soda fountain and was surprised but intrigued they had there own soda brands. In my group we tried the Maine cola, lemon lime, and vanilla cream. All were gross. The ratio of syrup to carbonated water needs major adjusting. They will probably improve somewhat, but at $40 for 2 adults and 1 child I won't give it a second chance. read more

Didn't like store bought chips for queso...queso was good tho. The barbacoa taco meat was dry!!! Not as good as I had hoped. The baskets that 2 would come in is too small....horrible watching others navigate too when the tacos are taking up entire basket. Not sure I would return. I may try fuzzy first. read more
