The food was easy to order on the self order kiosk at the front. Once we ordered we sat down and were able to watch the thunder game. There is indoor and outdoor seating options. I'm so hooked on the chips n queso here. Even my 2 yr old grandson loves it! Alittle spicy but if you stir it , your good. We usually order the same ones, Chicken Fajita, Republican, or tipsy one that has bacon marmalade sauce. All super good. Street corn great, so be sure and order large. Service is fast but guy taking order today..Girls are usually friendly. I also want to comment on a worker..seemed nice, not sure if he brings food out or cleans tables. Hmmm, I'm not sure how to feel about this place quite yet. The atmosphere was so-so, bar was clean and bartender was nice and efficient, and of course the beer was cold and crisp. We tried the queso and roja salsa, we thought they were flavorful with the right amount of spice. The tacos however were super disappointing, maybe I just need to try a few more. I thought they were wildly expensive for a single taco. We're talking $5+ for a SINGLE taco, when they're worth maybe half that. However they only have 3 items on their breakfast menu. I was highly disappointed. Food was ok, I don't think I will be back at least for breakfast. Service was incredibly slow we waited 30 minutes for 2 tacos. The manger walked by a few times and never checked on us, they were pretty slow. The atmosphere is welcoming and inviting. While my sister is so-so about this fast-food place, I am absolutely in love with it! it was our first time so it was very odd when we went up there was just sign on the door. We had to pay through the app. I think everything was down in there regarding that. We walk in and it up Long Island, you go down and then you go through and order your food and then your seated. If you have children autistic, if they get over overstimulated easily, I was just going around the corner and down where it's not quite so busy. Why would you get rid of the only vegan option entree on your menu? Say goodbye to the Mo'Faux. Dairy is on almost every single menu item and as of tonight, they are not apologetic about it at all. The menu changed and so has the service. This will be the last time we ever go here. If I wanted a salad on a tortilla I can do that at any Mexican restaurant. I usually don't write reviews period...let alone good ones, but the customer service here is just unmatched. Boyfriend and I ordered doordash for dinner, doordash arrives and the two tacos that I ordered are made wrong, specifically they are on flour tortillas rather than corn. I have celiac disease, so I am not able to eat these at all. We try to contact door dash, they offer us $3 total for the two wrangler tacos that cost $5 a piece, because the food being made wrong is not their fault. I am pretty peeved at this point. I call the store instead, because this is like the third or fourth time this has happened at this location. The manager, Corey, picks up, in hindsight I feel pretty bad bc I was hangry and did not have the nicest tone explaining the situation. After explaining however, Corey says he hates when food is messed up and no one does anything about it, so he asks how far we are from the location and offers to personally drive the corrected tacos over. He is currently on his way, and has now made a forever customer out of me. It is hard to be mad about messed up food when management is willing to go to these lengths to correct it. read more

I lived in Texas briefly and I'm happy to have found Torchy's now that I've moved. Ok, it's a chain, but I swear the timeliness and the food are not the same! Took about 15-20 minutes to get our food, even at lunch time (a rainy day, mind you, so not the most bustling). We had the wrangler, the green chili pork, the monk special and the ranch hand, and a side of street corn. The wrangler and the monk special were decent. The green chili pork was a bit dry, same issue with the ranch hand which has beef fajita in it. An issue with dry meat that rely on heavy sauce sets it back a star, and the long wait time knocks off another star. The street corn was tasty but the portion seemed smaller than what I remember in TX. Maybe we came on a bad day, I'll try another location next time I have a Torchy's craving. read more

Just went on for the first time and the girls at the counter were so helpful and could even tell us the ingredients in certain things we asked about. They also made recommendations that we took and enjoyed! I had the crossroads and really enjoyed it! My husband had the fajita and thought it was good as well! Happen to be in Norman doing some shopping. Decided to stop and order curbside at Torchy's. Used the app. Made a point to put in my car color, make and model. Ordered the food. Waited. 10 minutes after they said it would be ready I decided to call into the store to find out why there was a delay. The young lady who answered the phone advised me that they are no longer doing curbside pickup. (The app said they were, yelp says they are, their website said they were and there was even a poster in their window.) So then I asked was someone going to bring my order out? I am relatively new to Torchy's- a friend introduced me to them and I have to say, I did *not* expect their tacos. They are SO GOOD. Each one is a symphony of perfectly prepared meat and fresh ingredients, topped with their assorted sauces- they are the tastiest tacos around. The guacamole is also really, really good. The place itself is fun to visit- we sat on the patio and really enjoyed ourselves. These are my fave tacos in Norman, bar none. But only if you eat at the restaurant. I'm sorry to say that our to-go and delivery orders did not meet the same standards. In fact, it is like night and day! The tacos themselves are much, much smaller if they are takeout or delivery. For instance, I love the chicken fajita tacos, so I ordered some to be delivered as a treat last week. What I received were tiny tacos with hardly any meat or filling. In addition, the fajita meat and peppers were burned black and crunchy. So.... i had to ask the portion size bc they didn't have a picture or idea to give someone if this was a large taco or a mini taco... so they are on a 6in and when asked they will say 1 is an appetizer and two starts a meal. I probably could have had three if that is all I got. I went with a chicken and steak fajita taco... and while the seasoning was really pretty darn good the meat was a little on the dry side. And not dry like how long has this been sitting out, but I was expecting a bit more juicy ness... still really damn good though. I also expected a side to be completed my along w this.. chips, salsa, beans.... something... I stole the quacamole from the kids meal which I hate to say shoulda come w it... I also would have expect some red salsa or the option to have a salsa bar to choose from and did not see that... so there is time for improvement there but the salsa I did add to it wasn't too shabby. Torchy's is such a treasure to have in Norman. Although I live in Midwest City, I find myself running errands in Norman simply for an excuse to pursue lunch or dinner at this amazing establishment. What can I say, I'm a tacoholic. And when it comes to tacos, Torch'ys clearly has the upper hand. I don't know if I have ever been to Torchy's when there wasn't a line nearly out the door. If lines are a problem for you, this place might not suit your needs. But, if you have patience and the taste for delicious tacos, the line is well worth the wait. They have a featured Taco of the Month that changes...well...every month. Most of the time these tacos are super fun and unique. I usually order the Taco of the Month every time I go. You can't go to Torchy's without getting the queso. I'm dead serious. This isn't your run-of-the-mill queso. It is superb. I usually get the Hillbilly Queso because chorizo rules my life. No shame there. When it comes to tacos, my absolute favorite is the Baja Shrimp. You really get your money's worth for every taco on the menu. They stuff these tacos full to near bursting. And I love it. Their shrimp is always perfectly golden fried and crunchy. And the slaw they put on top is the icing on the cake. So to speak. I've also tried the Green Chile Pork and the Fried Avocado and both are outstanding. As I mentioned before, this place can be a bit pricey. But as I also mentioned before, it is well worth it. Most of the tacos run about 3-5$ and the average taco lover orders 2-3 tacos. As you can see, this would add up pretty fast especially if your order queso and a delicious cocktail (I HIGHLY recommend the Tequila Temptress. It comes with tajin around the rim of the glass. What more do you need?) from the bar. So if you are looking for a cheap quick meal, this is not the place. The service is pretty typical for counter service. You wait in line, order your food, get your number, and find a place to sit (which can be tricky due to how busy this place can be). A food runner will then bring you your food and you are on your own. Which works fine for me! Because I don't like to be disturbed when inhaling my tacos. Now this torchy's has never been known for speed but today they were fast! To the extent of sacrificing quality. The orders were correct, the tacos looked great. The double wide was hot but it could have been crispier. The corn tortillas were warm. The Queso tasted good but it was warm too. The chips were warm, kind of chewy (some), some super greasy and some very salty. It was 8pm and they close at 10pm so I didn't think we were too late. There wasn't much of a crowd inside so it might die earlier than I expected. Overall Torchy's used to be banging and I hope they can survive. Their tacos are pretty good, maybe a bit on the high end but they are creative. In a time where people are longing for authentic tastes, fusion can suffer but there is one thing you can't forget. You can never jeopardize the quality - your food has to be top notch. Expect quick service but at the cost of temperature and doneness. If the Queso is piping hot, it will be the best you've eaten. When it's warm, it's still good but not as good as when you first had it. Same for the tacos when the tortillas are like warm and kind of chewy. It's still good but wasn't a homerun. Okay, I'm probably late to the party but this was my first time trying Torchy's. My husband has been raving about it and honestly, I was expecting it to be similar to Fuzzy's. To my surprise, it was more like Big Truck Tacos! The tacos were full of flavor and they were so generously filled. I got full off of a taco and a half. I tried The Democrat and the Avocado taco. I'll definitely have to come back to try all of the other tacos, the descriptions sounded delicious. The sauces for the tacos were tasty too! Aside from the bomb.com food, we noticed on the menu that a few cocktails were only $3.50 on weekends, including mimosas and tequila sunrise. We both ordered a tequila sunrise and it was perfection. You'd expect for such cheap drinks to be lacking on the alcohol but nope. They made that drink count! Living in the PNW we do not have a Torchys so every time I get to come home, I light it up!! This is my spot and I love the tacos here. The best taco I have had so far was the fast and furious one they had couple months back. Took all my groomsmen here before my wedding and dropped $300 some dollars and it was worth every penny.
