Hmm? This place looks like, smells like and tastes like a Torchy's but something just felt off. I believe it is the employees. They don't seem excited about working there nor excited about presenting well to the customer. Nothing rude or anything like that, just a Bleh sort of attitude. One server seems annoyed that I didn't know that they brought your take out to you and that you didn't come to the front for it. And I was not there at rush hour but rather at 10:44 this morning so no breakfast, lunch or dinner rush. read more

While I love Torchys in general, this location, has some of the worst customer service. Majority of the time you walk into the bar area it's hard to find a clean spot. If you do, it's imperative to maintain constant eye contact with the bartender. Otherwise, you'll be subject to a long wait! They used to have great bartenders who were friendly, quick and kept the bar clean. If you can get past the customer service, they have amazing tacos! Oh and their queso is a real treat! read more

I usually love Torchy's Tacos. Not this location, however. First visit: food so salty it's barely edible. Second visit: they "lost" my order. Took over 30 minutes to get two tacos. Others came after me, ate and left before I got my food. Last visit (today): a tooth-shaped none of some sort was in my taco. First and the last time for me to eat here. Acoustics are the WORST (Couldn't hear myself think). Chips took 25 minutes to get to us and the tacos another 10, then the order was wrong. "The Democrat" taco was supposed to be Barbacoa but looked like a big chewed up black wad of beef on a couple dried out cardboard corn tortillas. Our side of refried pintos didn't seem to be cooked with a single spice. In fact, the beans may have just been cooked with a Vitamix, because they didn't taste cooked at all. Just a fluffy tub of light brown chalk. Not a single employee in the joint was smiling. They all seemed to be in their own miserable little private worlds. Overall it was an awful experience! This place is pretty much in the middle of nowhere. But the food is pretty good here. I had 2 house margaritas during happy hour where the prices of a small is equal to the large. Pretty tasty, I don't like a salt rim. I ordered two of the giant tacos. One of the beef one and the other was a pork one. I think it was the Democrat and the brushfire. The orange spicy sauce was fiery!! Must have been habenero or something similar. The staff was so nice and the tacos are delicious! Let me just start off by saying, any new business deserves an adjustment period. I visited this Torchy's in Spring and it was very reflective of most of my visits with this chain. I'm very appreciative that this location is closer to where I live versus the Woodlands. The cashier was awesome at taking our order and explaining some of the menu items as she offered us a $3 weekend drink special. I was impressed to see that we received a buzzer instead of a number card like I usually do at other locations. I thought this would be a neat way to receive our food, but once we got to the table we were unsure if the buzzer would go off and then we would have to pick up our food. A little more communication about the device would've been nice because it was weird. Mind you, the device never buzzed at all. Our food was brought directly to us. The only thing I didn't like about the buzzer is that the server continuously brought food to our table that wasn't ours. The food would belong to one of the tables next to ours. So that was annoying that whatever tactic they're using to know what table the buzzer is on is not working. Either way, the food was very up to par. I got my usual chips and queso (my fav), the Alabama Shake and Baja Shrimp tacos and they were cooked to perfection, on flour tortillas. My husband ordered 2 Mr. Orange tacos and he enjoyed them. Stephanie was also a very attentive waitress. She cleared our table, refilled our drinks, brought more chips, and continuously checked on us. I appreciated that as with most other locations, our food gets dropped off and it's challenging to grab anyone to request something additional. So thank you for the attention Stephanie. We will definitely return, especially because the location, food, and service is excellent. read more

One of the most overrated restaurant I've been to. The tacos are really small, dry, and nothing worth gushing over about. I defintely don't think its worth the queue or the wait. Overall just very dissapointing. Also you know the food isn't that good when the children are using the tacos as a table clothe to clean the tables with ‍. I've been here three times, first was fast and amazing. Second time we were in a rush so I thought, "let's go here since it was fast and good the last time!" Same week mind you... we ordered same thing we ordered Monday, waited 45 minutes for it and then it got "lost" some how after we were trying to get it to go." Because we weren't going to have time to eat it. Ended up spending another ten minutes trying to refund our money, getting an apology & some coupons. I go again later that day after work since I wanted to try the drinks and get a taco finally since I hadn't eaten lunch...tell me how they still don't get the right order??? It's comical really. I visited Torchy's Tacos for the first time and was very impressed. It has a really great atmosphere with a full bar. The menu was fun with all the unique tacos they serve. I've given this place enough chances. It isn't good. The service is so,stoked good. Not often. The food is sometimes good. Not often. My daughter likes this place and she wanted to go tonight because she had coupons. I decided in the salad. I don't care for wilted lettuce. That's just bad service and bad kitchen management. Little else looked very good I. The salad. So, I decided to try her chips because she'd gotten chips and queso. She loves that but I'll be damned if the chips weren't stale. This place is garbage, I had been to the vintage park location a few times before trying this place with a few of my friends. First off my friend who hadn't been there before was looking over the menu and didn't know what to order but I guess for them that was a huge inconvenience even though there was no line. Second of all the food itself was garbage, the tortillas were all stale and whoever heated them up obviously used a microwave. The meat tasted disgusting, and even the water tasted like bleach. We ordered chips and queso, which was really good and was brought out promptly. We each got two tacos each, and ended up realizing that we in fact ordered too much food. The tacos honestly have WAY TOO MUCH on them. We recommend ordering off the secret menu, available from the cashier or through a quick google search.
