    Chicken Tortilla Bowl
    Queen O.

Decided to try out a new spot. I originally wanted to come for happy hour but I came for lunch. I got the steak bowl which came highly recommended by the server & in my opinion it wasn't anything special. I felt like the steak was a bit chewy. I also got the chicken tortilla soup which was delicious but could've been hotter. For my drink I got the swirl which is sangria and tequila and that was a hit. The service was good and lots of seating inside and outside. Parking is also easy and free. I'd come back but probably only for the happy hour drinks.

In the middle of digging for chips.

I stopped in for take out. While the experience of customer service and atmosphere was nice, I was extremely disappointed with the nachos I ordered. Chips completely soggy! To salvage this I am in the process of digging out and scraping all the topping off the chips. I guess I add chips to my grocery list for tomorrow. Overall the toppings and cheese is just OK. I should have gone to Taco Cabana, or Tony's Tacos. Anyway, I won't be ordering this again. By the way, there was a complimentary bag of chips incuded but the oil on those was overwhelming and not in a good way. I had to toss those. In all likelyhood will not return.

TLDR: Thar food, those ritas. This place has become my most recent go-to when that little voice says - "pssst....Dave....Dave....i know you hear me....you want fajitas." Admittedly, I hear that voice a lot. In any case, I usually order the fajitas. They give you a decent quantity that tastes great. The meet is tender and flavorful and those tortillas had me at hello. I love this stuff! My son elects to go for the cheese enchiladas. I don't have to ask him how much he likes them because is a super picky eater and this is the one place where he actually cleans his plate. The margaritas are solid as well and when you glance around the restaurant, you'll see them on most tables. This place is a well oiled machine. There are plenty of staff and they all work unison to bring drinks / chips / salsa / refills / orders / food -- and that food usually comes out before I can feel guilty for eating chips, salsa, and queso. I found this trick that works for me. Since I 100% of the time feel guilty for leaving the place feeling so full, I started parking on the other end of the parking lot. This allows my to burn off 2.7 calories of the food that just ate so I feel 2.7 percent less guilty. On a serious note - this place is the real deal. While some of my previous favorites have either closed down or gone downhill a bit - Julio's has remained strong. ¡Salud!

From Ashley seating us to Victoria being our waitress extraordinaire it was great. I didn't really open up the menu, because I saw lamb chops on the cover. First, I was like lamb chops and black beans together?? but they pair well together! The presentation of the lamb chops was cool, as they come out hanging on a rack. They were so tender and seasoned well! The squash, carrots, and zucchini was fresh and crunchy. The beans were delicious and I added shredded cheese. I also had the Texas Redfish on a half shell and it was delicious, and the Shrimp were juicy. The food was light and didn't feel Like it was overpowering my belly! We especially love the creamy poblano corn empanadas. We fought over one last time, but this time we each got our own. The waitstaff we have had both times is very sweet, but does not speak or understand English very well and was unable to really help us decide this second time, so we just took her recommendation. One of the items she recommended, the Huarachon, was not my favorite, but the other items were very good. We would have especially enjoyed some interaction with the chef-owner or the gentleman who seems to be her husband, since it did not seem very busy at the time, but they simply said "hello". Hopefully next time! And there will be a next time!
