    Chicken Bento
    Lourdes R.

Tori Japan was a featured restaurant on Uber Eats so I decided to try it out. I ordered one of the popular dishes, chicken bento box, and an order of spring rolls. It came with 2 spring rolls in the order. The food arrived quickly and was still hot. I would consider this more of a fast food type food vs something I'd sit in a restaurant for. For it being more of a fast food, it was tasty and the temperature was just right. There were no utensils in the bag and I'm staying in a hotel. That was inconvenient because I had to hunt down utensils. The chicken bento box came with chicken, white rice (I subbed fried rice), chicken dumplings, a 4 piece sushi roll, and vegetables. The chicken was tender and flavorful. The fried rice was just ok for me. It had a good flavor but was a little soggy. Maybe because of the sauce the chicken was cooked in and having been packaged and transported. I wish they had included a dipping sauce for the dumplings and soy sauce for the sushi. The spring rolls were vegetable spring rolls. They were lacking in flavor for me, which could have been made up for if there was dipping sauce included. It's possible that sauces were an option for purchase on the app and I didn't pay attention to that. So heads up if you're ordering for delivery, make sure you ask for sauces. I do feel like that would have leveled up this meal. Overall, I'd say 3.5 stars but I'm rounding up to 4 because of the convenience.

Food was good but they gave me a side of vegetables when I paid for and ordered a side of noodles. I also paid for a side of Eel sauce which they did not include.

Chicken and shrimp teriyaki were very good. I also enjoyed the spicy tuna sushi. Delivery was very fast. Will definitely try again!

Extremely fresh fish with generous portions in a casual, underground space…read more I think this is a reasonably priced establishment for the level of fish (phenomenal) and service (reasonable and attentive, but not like a fancier sit down restaurant) that you get. I am always surprised at how full I am when I leave! I'm stuffed every time. There is complementary miso soup with all of the bowls I've tried, outlined below. I really loved all of the bowls I've tried but my favorites are probably the Sake Aisuru Don and Kuromon Don. I just prefer more salmon to more tuna though, and they're all very good! Food: - Sake Aisuru Don: their classic all-salmon bowl! I loved the larger cuts of salmon, and I was pleasantly surprised that even the more pulverized salmon was flavorful! - Kuromon Don: loved the yellowtail in this! Each fish comes with two pieces (except the mackerel for which there are four), and I liked the sampler style for the salmon, tuna, yellowtail, and izumidai. - Maguro Toro Don: so much tuna! And all such high quality. The otoro was so fatty that it practically melted in my mouth without chewing. - Sake Maguro Hamachi Don: a mix of salmon, blue fin tuna, and yellowtail. I liked the yellowtail in this a lot and found that it stood out the most from the other two fish in this particular bowl!

It was adequately busy but still had seats open. The lunch menu is very affordable! If you can, I'd highly recommend going for lunch instead of dinner. Service was really quick! Received my meal in like 5-7 mins after ordering. Fish was super fresh and I really liked the different textures in the Hoseki Don. I also added in negitoro. They gave me a big clump of it! The second time I went back, I ordered take out so I could eat it at the airport for dinner. I ordered the Sake Maguro Hamachi don, added ikura and negitoro. Again, so impressed with the quality of the fish and the size of it. They didn't skimp out and really enjoyed the thickness of the sashimi despite it only being 3 pieces. It was a very satiating bowl. Cant wait to come back next time again!

Hand roll place in Boston. Came for a quick bite and saw all the interesting hand rolls they have…read more They all look amazing and come with their house made soy sauce. Came in the middle of the day and got seated quick. All the hand rolls came at once. Their rice was solid. The fish tasted fresh. I got the best seller set and added couple of the classics. My favorite hand roll was the apple salmon. Fatty salmon tastes with sweetness coming from the apple. The miso butter cod was also tasty and cooked perfectly. Soft and flavorful. The other hand rolls were more standard. Place is worth a stop if you like hand rolls!

This place is typical seaport, more style than substance…read more The sushi was fine, kind of uninspired and not particularly interesting. The nori was a bit soggy when I got my hand rolls (not inedible but not the best), the fish was fine, everything was fine but a bit salty and not particularly exciting or innovative. I've been to better hand roll places (Mr. Tuna in Portland for example) where the rolls are served immediately which results in a better texture, and the flavors are more innovative and the seafood is more varied. The cocktails had no alcohol that I could detect and were all about $20. Flavors were fine but again not exciting. The wasabi margarita just seemed like a regular margarita to me, but with less tequila than a margarita usually has. I should note that when I visited they were out 50% of the fish options on the menu and 90% of the entrees were also unavailable so I wasn't able to taste as much as I would have liked.
