Then was told I missed my appointment by 4 minutes and the doctor couldn't see me today. They have a 10 minute late policy that wasn't told to me. I guess Dr. Shereen Farooq planned a first time counseling appointment to last less than 14 minutes total. Dr. Farooq was told all the circumstances of me being there early and didn't care. I prefer to have a doctor and her coworkers to have some kind of compassion and caring. I appreciate an efficient office, but they should have 4 minutes of flexibility to help someone. I want a doctor who expresses care and concern, not one who punishes patients for their establishment's error.

After my personal bout with kidney stone, which resulted in serious illness related to a hidden infection, Dr. Batten was the greatest. Then, after about 10 years, my husband developed kidney stones. He was so impressed by the treatment I received from Dr. Batten that he would go to no one else for treatment. He felt safe in Dr. Batten's care and he came through his kidney stone experience (including stent placement, lithotripsy, and stent removal) with flying colors. I experienced a very sudden onset and rapid escalation of oral pain beginning on a Friday evening which necessitated emergency treatment the next Monday. Dr. Linscott was the only dentist in Athens whom would take me on such short notice. He rescheduled appointments and saw me two hours after I first called. The centrality of his office on Court Street makes him even more accessible to patients. Dr. Linscott treated me successfully to resolution of my case via root canal procedure. In treating me, Dr. Linscott could not have been gentler; in fact decidedly not treating the root canal immediately but first prescribing a strong oral antibiotic to reduce the infection before starting treatment. In my time since as his patient, he has continued to offer the best and gentlest treatment possible. Dr. Linscott's staff are collectively very professional and loyal.
