We were seated quickly, getting chips and salsa when the server came to take our drinks order. When we got our drinks we ordered our food, honestly we got our food the quickest I believe I have ever gotten food at a restaurant. I ordered the Burrito Grande (which was HUGE) it had chicken, steak and ground beef with refried beans and rice wrapped in a giant tortilla shell. My food was fantastic!!! The restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside but inside it is was clean and had tons of seating, everything was decorated in a Mexican motif and was bright and roomy. The food, service and experience was great, if you are in Portsmouth Ohio and want some great Mexican cuisine I highly recommend Toro Loco!

I've been about 4-5 times in TL since I'm in America and I probably had one of my best meals there, but you got to consider that I don't eat meat and that I haven't eaten Mexican very often before. They had always a very nice service and very good food. While you wait on your fresh made food you get as much Tortilla Chips, which are not those regular way too salty tortilla chips you can buy at a store, with Salsa and an incredible good Cheese Dip as you want, with free refills. You usually get your quite hot and fresh made food before you even finished your tortillas. As I said I really enjoyed their vegetarian card, which was as delicious as long, but their meals with meat look and smell very good too. Of course there are better mexican places but it's the same why you go to McD instead of a steakhouse, it's much cheaper but the difference between McD and TL is that TL has really good food. read more

I absolutely love this place. Have gone here many many times with friends. It's a great setting, with no distracting TV, and no wifi, it's a classic setting where the only things to focus on are the food and the people you're there with. Speaking of the food, it's amazing, I highly recommend the Pollo bandido. The staff are nice, there's one short fella who works there that's always smiling and joking with customers, I asked that guy to make my food spicy one night and he did not disappoint. With an array of jalapenos, and whatever else he did, that was the best pollo bandido I've ever had in my life. It's a staple in this town, and I hope it stays for a very long time. This is not a place that you want to miss out on, especially not if you love mexican food, go, and enjoy it. read more

Toro Loco is a local restaurant in Wheelersburg. The food is very exceptional with a wide variety of options to choose. You can pick authentic mexican foods. Also you can get an combination of Mexican-American foods. Also the owners and workers are super friendly and are always glad to see you. If you come there enough sometimes they can remember what you want. The only complaint about the place is it can be sometimes messy however this is an easy fix. I will always be a fan of Toro Loco because of the friendly environment and good food. And finally they have a short wait time for the meals. And always seems to make me happy. read more

Toro Loco is a local restaurant in Wheelersburg Ohio. The service is fast and friendly, great for a family dinner or lunch if you want good quality food and good time. The variety on the menu is great and the food is very flavorful. Prices are reasonable as well, in my opinion you get more than what you pay for. The take out is also fast having a 10-15 minute wait time, but when in the restaurant the wait is normally around 10 minutes with chips and salsa waiting for you on the table when you are being seated. The salsa is also very flavorful and has a nice kick to it. read more

It's pretty great when it comes to food, from really great meat and ingredients, to the the friendly staff. This is all true, except when an employee tries to steal your credit card information, which is very sketchy, but I still like the food. The smell the goes through the building in such an intoxicating fashion it almost makes up for the money that had to be reimbursed, but it reminds me of my Mexican roots and it's the closest thing to real Mexican meal within a 11 mile radius, so enjoy my business with your dirty monopoly. read more

I've gone to this restaurant since I was a kid, and I never get tired of it. The people that work here are friendly and amazing people. The food is also delectable. The atmosphere is like no other. It's a bit run down, as business has declined with the economy as it is; however, the service, food, and other amenities are always excellent. Not to mention, this place is authentic with real Mexican food and real people who care about their jobs, their livelihood, their business, and their customers. Muy muy bien. :) read more
