First time going to this place and will be back for sure. Walking in you see the busy bar and to the left is a large dining area. The hostesses were quick to greet me and show me to a table. Within three minutes of sitting, my waitress had gotten me a drink and a big basket of chips and some salsa showed up just before. The menu was well organized and had some small text, which made me forgetting my glasses a hassle... but I got through it and ordered the Especial Ceviche, and Enchiladas Mole. The ceviche arrived and had a great presentation with lots of tomatoes, fish, scallops and shrimp. Just as l was finishing the ceviche, my enchiladas arrived. The sauce was green with white cheese and red onions on top (for those who never put it together, lots of Mexican food is red white and green to represent their flag colors). They were large and looked great, but didn't look like what I was expecting. Green? I know there's over 200 different Moles, so I asked as my server came over to follow up and asked if they were Verde because I ordered Mole. She confirmed it was Verde, which was not a problem to me, she heard Verde and I told her it was OK, they're my second favorite enchiladas. The chicken inside was tasty, the sauce was a little sweet and also delicious. The chips were just chips, nothing special, and the salsa was pretty good, but to me was bland. I asked if they had a spicy salsa for the next time and she said they did. Overall everything was great, a little surprise on what showed up, but like I told my waitress, that's how I try different things. I ate a LOT, could've taken half the enchiladas home, because the ceviche was pretty big too. Definitely worth a visit, because I am going to return to try other items. read more

My husband and I stopped into Toro Mambo Cocina Mexicana for lunch after craving some Mexican food, and it was such a great find! The restaurant has the perfect blend of a cozy neighborhood spot with an upscale vibe. The décor is beautiful and thoughtfully done -- it really adds to the experience. Drinks were delicious & presentation was great. Food also very good. First time there. The ambiance, I think, could vary wildly depending on where you are seated. They put us at a table at the far back of the bar area, which would normally be fine. However, there was a party of about 12 that looked to be grandparents, children and grandchildren. Three children may be under four or five of the kids were screaming wildly & running. one of the women at the table also was screaming because I think she'd had a couple of margaritas and had no idea how long she was . Once I heard the volume, I knew I wouldn't be able to even hear my dining companion so I asked to be moved to a high top near the windows, which unfortunately wasn't any better. All the wait staff were also complaining about this table. The manager was around, but did not approach them to ask them to quiet down for any other diners. I did go into the restroom in the dining room, which is separate from the bar seemed a much better place to be, but I would ask to be seated there if we go back. I would suggest some soundproofing near the bar or the courage to be able to tell people that they're behaving inappropriately and so are their children. Part of it's just the entitlement of the area, but I will give this restaurant another try. read more

Came here this evening with my wife after having passed this place several times. What a great find. Big space in what was formerly Duffy's. Nice decor and a big bar. Plenty of seating and booths. Lots of parking spaces as well. We started with table side guacamole which was delicious and plentiful. For our main we shared the combo fajitas for two. Steak, chicken, shrimp with sautéed peppers onion and tomatoes. Sides include lettuce, tomato, guac, sour cream, yellow rice, refried beans and tortillas. Everything was delicious and much more than the two of us could eat. Would easily feed 3 or 4. Service was great and we will be returning. read more

Great new place with fresh authentic Mexican food. We sat in the bar area high tops and we're immediately greeted by the bartender. He brought us menus and said he'd be right back for our drink order. When he came back, he brought us chips and salsa, which were complementary. I ordered a spicy watermelon margarita. It was made well and the flavors were on point. I ordered the shrimp - costa chimichanga, which was absolutely amazing. I couldn't get enough of the vegetables that were served on the side. They were freshly sautéed very light and had a fantastic flavor. The chimichanga was nice and light. The shrimp had fantastic flavoring as well. My husband ordered the fajitas and had said everything was fresh and flavorful and he had enough leftover for a second meal. Our service and food was excellent. Plenty of parking. I highly recommend this place for fresh authentic Mexican. Although it can be a bit pricey for some items so happy hour is a good option. read more

This was our second visit and the food and service have been outstanding. Loved the added touch of pictures on our second visit since we were dining with old friends. On our second visit it was very busy and the hostess was doing the best she could trying to manage the flow with walk ins and reservations. I tried this spot a few weeks ago while out with some girlfriends. They have a wonderful spicy jalapeño margarita and you definitely need to have the goat cheese stuffed jalapeños. We have been here twice now and the service was really quick and speedy. I had the chicken quesadilla which was stuffed full of delicious flavorful pieces of chicken. The rice was a vegetable mix with some refied beans. Do not sleep on the queso it's spot on to moe's queso. The drinks are my favorite option of course being 25 different margaritas to choose from and more to look forward too on the way back next time. We came in the restaurant about 7 pm . There was a decent crowd . We sat in the dinning room as they have a bar with high top tables . We sat down and had a waitress immediately asking us about our drinks . It's margarita Monday do I know my wife and I love trying the different margaritas they have and they fo have a great selection. One of my wife's favorite is watermelon jalapeño, I stay more to the originals . We ordered guacamole. It was great along with their chips and homemade sauce. Although the food was still good, despite not being what I wanted, the service tonight was terrible. I prefaced with jokingly saying, "I'm going to be difficult" and our server giggled and said "no problem". I guess the manager didn't agree because he wouldn't allow what I ordered last time and wanted to charge me $7 more saying they had to use a "larger portion of tofu". So I just asked for the burrito as is, instead of enchiladas with the same ingredients. Whatever. The kicker was when it came out missing ingredients and the server looked me in the face, straight faced that I was wrong. Didn't offer to double check or being out the menu for me to co firm, so I looked it up on their website. By the time we were able to get her back to the table, the response was, "oh, well do you want me to bring out the Guac?". The only redemption was that after asking to speak to the manager (after she blamed it on him), is that he gave us 20% off. My wife, my son, and myself are on vacation in Jupiter. We decided to try this Mexican restaurant. The menu looked really nice. My wife ordered the flautas, and I ordered the half pound short rib, brisket, chuck burger, and my son ordered the kids burger. My wife said her said that her flautas were good. However, the dish was missing the pickled onions and the rice that was supposed to come with it. I had been craving a burger all day, and the burger on the menu sounded really good and unique. The server asked me what temperature I wanted it cooked, I told her medium rare. When I got the burger, it looked like two kids burgers stacked on top of each other. Well done. The (tequila bacon) was far from any tequila tasting bacon at all. It was just a very huge disappointment. If you're not gonna have something on the menu that you're gonna execute well. Keep it off the menu. The burgers tasted like frozen kid burger patties. Quite gross. I could not finish it. The service and the atmosphere was very delightful though. We were thinking about returning to this restaurant, but we're only over here for a week. And I don't wanna be disappointed again. read more

Rimmed with Tahin, amazing! The shrimp bowl I ordered was so delicious! The fish platter, as it's Good Friday, was crispy, savory and just seasoned right! Every bite he said, was pure satisfaction!!! Okay so the reason for the 3 stars let's start... Just to give you all a heads up, anything on the kids menu cannot be modified! We had to learn this the hard way as we tried to give modification, not only once but twice! That part was absolutely ridiculous! You can modify any other platter, but a child's? Our food came out fast and hot, and the service was great. The salsa had a nice little kick to it--we loved it! We also ordered queso dip as an appetizer, which was delicious. For our meals, I got the Super Burrito, and my husband had the steak tacos. Both were flavorful and satisfying. The only thing that threw me off was the rice--it had peas and green beans in it, which I found a bit odd, especially inside my burrito. It also had a bit of a store-bought texture. That being said, it won't stop us from coming back! The total for our meal was around $48 before tip, which felt reasonable for the quality. Overall, a great experience!
