Oil on the driveway. Ugh…read more Called some friends to get a recommendation for a local shop. One said that Scott from Sunland was the guy. We had the car towed over (2018 Ford Fusion Hybrid), and they diagnosed the problem and repaired the issue quickly and at a fair price. Unfortunately, the tech made a small mistake and once we got the car home, there was more oil on the driveway and a check engine light. Ugh, again. So we called back to Scott to see what he wanted us to do. We understand that sometimes mistakes are made and issues arise. How a business owner handles those issues are the difference between good businesses and great ones. This is a great one. Scott was MUCH more upset than we were! He got us back in same day and fixed the issue at no charge! (We should have paid for a necessary part, but he would not charge us.) With everything so expensive these days, and everyone trying to stretch a buck, it's hard to know if you're leaving your car with someone who cares about it as much as you do. Scott does. I've never been to one of this places (and never will return to it again) I need ot to go out of town and didn't have time for a oil change at my local shop ( were I go always) so I decided to give this place a try since is around my home, it should be quick and easy and about the same price as my local prefer shop. When you' get there an employee approaches you with a nice cold water and a clipboard and pen to fill out a customer information card - Than you pull up and that's when the up scaling begins to take effect- my vehicle uses synthetic 0-20 and OEM oil filter. They have 5 options: Option A- $120 option B - $110 Option C- $96 option D - $84 (I think) and obviously I ask why so many choices what's the $84 dollars Oil? Employee: is a recycle Oil but we don't have 0-20 for your car -to what I answer what's the on above.? Employee: same thing as the previous and we do have it for you vehicle. (WHAT) I said do the $110 option, As they proceed to change the oil using a suction vac , they check my air filter ($35) I said no that he shows me a transfer case plug and stays to tell me I should think about getting it change ( it was change 10k miles ago). He keeps going with it' looks bad etc.. I said no- Finally after 30 minutes they change the oil and the oil filter (who the heck knows what brand of oil and filter they are but the box is green) probably something that costs them $3 per filter ) After they were done I get charge $128 for an oil change,, the cost of $110 didn't included the oil filter WTF!!!!!!!!!! I purchased four tires for my Ford Transit work van and trusted their recommendation, assuming they were providing the correct tires for the vehicle. Less than a year later, one of the tires began splitting. I took the van to another shop that was closer because I did not feel safe driving all the way back to their shop. It was at the new shop where I was informed that the tires installed on my van were not properly rated to handle the weight of the vehicle and should not have been installed in the first place. I contacted Christian Brothers to explain the situation and was told I would need to drive the van back to their shop -- despite the damaged tire -- for them to determine whether anything would be covered under warranty. While I was getting the quote elsewhere to replace all four tires, Christian Brothers called back and offered a slightly lower price if I purchased another full set through them. In the end, the difference was only about $100 compared to the other shop. A shop I had never even used before, and that was the cost with no additional warranties or discounts (like Christian Brothers was claiming to be giving me). They stated they were giving me tires at cost and not charging for labor, not true. They tried to make it seem like they were doing me some huge favor by giving me such a small discount. Their front desk employee, Eric was as "helpful" as he could be throughout the process, but overall should have pushed harder with his upper management to resolve this. They should have completely comped the price of the old tires as this was their, dangerous mistake. Now they're not only making money off of me but also causing me to lose additional money by missing work to fix a problem they caused. I'm extremely disappointed with how this situation was handled, especially considering the original tires that they chose were improper for a work van like mine. All of this resulted in me needing to purchase two sets of tires within a single year!!! I expressed to them that being without my van would result in loss of money as it is my work vehicle. They had no concern for my time, money and no sense of urgency to resolve the situation that they caused. I had to leave my vehicle with them for more than a day the first time and again overnight the second time. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone!
