I'm so glad I did! Hon-Man's estimate was less than half the price, and from the start, they were incredibly communicative, helpful, and informative. We inherited my FiL's CRV and it just happened to hit 70k miles. Booked our appointment online to drop off the car at 4pm for the Signature Service Oil Change. We expected it would be there overnight and were okay with that. Imagine our surprise when we got a text less than 90 minutes later to tell us it was done. We picked it up and have a comprehensive report so we can figure out next steps. I decided to write a review for this terrible place again after removing it foolishly a while back ago thinking they did the "right" thing. They didn't fit my wheel on properly a few years ago and it fell off while I was driving. To make it "right" the owner decided to put in new CV axles in my CR-V, which ended up failing after less than 200 miles. I will never step foot in this scam artist shop. I should have sued them. I'm making sure everyone I know who is considering their Honda to be repaired avoids this place like the plague. read more

First time here, I was recommended to this car repair establishment by a friend. I sent them a message on their website with my vehicle concerns on a Friday and they promptly returned my message promptly on Monday. Brandon, the manager scheduled an appointment for me to have my vehicle inspected. I noticed they are busy and the scheduling was a week out or so. I saw all of their other reviews and decided it was worth the wait. Their shop is located behind an Indian restaurant on Apache Blvd, and I missed the turn a few times. It wasn't a fancy shop and it wasn't located in a shopping center like more other car repair shops. When I came to their shop on my scheduled day, I was greeted by Brandon. He throughly explained how he would inspect my car and would give an honest report on what needs to be done. I was pretty nervous I don't have much luck with car repair shops. With him, it felt different and even their admin Alice was very nice. The inspection took 30 minutes and his mechanic was able to identify the P0420 code (emissions) pretty on my car. Brandon gave his honest recommendation and did not try and sell me services I did not need. He also did not charge me a fee for the inspection services and was flexible on the options for the repair. I also met Tait the owner and he seemed very nice and humble. Overall this was a very good experience and I will return soon. read more

I had such a great experience with Hon Man Auto Care. My engine light had been on for a long time and I knew I needed my spark plugs changed. Honda quoted me over $1,000 for the repair, but Hon Man Auto Care took care of it for only $500. I was so relieved. They were extremely professional and kept in touch with me the entire time they had my car, which I really appreciated. It's hard to find an auto shop that is honest, communicative, and reasonably priced, but they truly delivered. If I could give this business 10 stars I absolutely would. Been coming to Hon-Man for over a decade now and Tate and David have always helped me out whether it was a check engine light, bodywork (they recommend airport auto center), and various maintenance throughout the years. They're honest, thorough, and efficient. Recently they've modernized payments and invoices to be digital, added more bays and added new services! It's awesome to see them grow and reinvest back into the business. One of the new services I tried was the front vehicle light cleaning and polish for $250. I had been delaying this repair for years since I wasn't sure of the options in Phoenix but when I saw Honman offered it I jumped on it and I'm glad I did! They restored it to like new condition and David told me the steps they took to get it there from the clay bar to the ceramic coatings. Can't recommend them enough to the point I'll only buy Honda (or Acura if I win the lottery) vehicles to be serviced here. read more

Excellent is an understatement. My 18 year old daughter took her Accord here after attempting to go to the dealership. Being scared off by the dealership tactics, she went to Hon-Man. They treated her with respect and were very honest and upfront. (They dealt with her and not I as I wanted my daughter to grow through this process.). AMAZING! The door latch to my 18 year old Accord failed and I was unable to open it. They were able to access the door latch assembly without destroying the inside door panel (pure magic), removed and replaced the latch assembly in record time, and were extremely reasonable in their price. I have owned many cars and dealt with many mechanics and service depts over the years (having sold cars for 2 decades). And hon-man is the BEST hands down BEST experience I've had getting my car serviced. They are extremely flexible, they (most importantly) HONEST, and patient in helping to diagnose and repair any issues. Twice I've had an issue on 2 different cars that no one could fix. Multiple dealers, multiple independent shops. But the fine folks at honman figured it out, and fixed it. And with all this knowledge and convenience you'd think the price would be steep, but NO! They are the most competitive price you can get. Tait is the owner and he is an available to share his knowledge with anyone. Brandon helped me with this current issue, and he dealt with all my questions and bothering him without a complaint or a word. TL;DR: Great price, convenient location and pick up drop off, extremely helpful and knowledgeable staff. And the cutest dog to say hi too also! Based on my recent experience, I know why Hon-Man gets 5* from nearly 200 reviews! From the first encounter they text with the owner Teit about the AC in my car and 2 other maintenance items listed by another car shop. Not only his price is reasonable, he also advised me that the other 2 maintenance items are not necessary for now. My experience is consistent with his staff when I went there to make an appt (not necessary at all, but I was in the area). I didn't think I was in their system, but I already was. When I dropped off my car for my appt, again all 3 staff were super friendly and accommodating. The person checked me in, looked for my paperwork (They are organize!), and told me they'll work on it and have it ready by 1 (it was noted I need the car by 1 to pick up my kids!). When I dropped off my car, a KIA owner was asking question and another staff told him that they only do Honda but would check out what he needed to be looked at. Hon-Man is THE BEST around! I have trusted them 100% with my Hondas for many years. I had an airbag recall service at Tempe Honda, and they quoted me something like $12,116 for work they claimed was needed on my 2006 CR-V. I took the same car to Hon-Man, and the necessary repairs are actually $1980. If that doesn't say it all, I don't know what does. Their assessments are trustworthy, prices are very fair, and they will NEVER cheat you or lie to you like the dealerships do. Work is done on time as promised, quick turnaround. Great communication from beggining to end, really neat to be able to convienently text a mechanic regarding my honda pilot and troubleshoot some ideas and gain confidence in their ability to fix my emission issue. After hours key drop and lock box key pick up along with online invoice payment via credit card was fantastic for my busy work schedule. Before coming here, I spoke to 3 different auto repair shops to help figure out what was wrong with my car and none of them were able to identify the issue with my car's alarm. As soon as I spoke on the phone with David, he immediately knew what could be the potential cause of it. Tait and David really go out of their way to make sure that you get the best service here. Not only were they able to help fit me in for an urgent service, Tait even drove out to help me when my car died on me. I've been coming here for several years. I've always felt welcomed here and at home. It seems to me that they are honest and interested in doing the most reasonable and reliable service for my vehicles. It's tucked back behind another business and is not the easiest to find. However, don't let that be a deterrent. Once found, it's easy to remember. The service here is friendly, and accommodating. As long as I own a Honda, I will use this business to take great care of my cars. An example , I have a missing part on top of my Element. The guys looked up the replacement cost and due to an expensive part, they said it wasn't necessary if I was alright not having it. It's on top of my car, not in sight and a cosmetic piece).
