Don't recommend. Told me to complete replace fuel tank because I had a fuel leak. It was just a matter of replacing fuel level sending unit. As well telling me to replace transmission when another shop told me it was not needed. I feel as they just tried to get money out of me and just didn't want to work with me giving me the most ridiculous repairs. Never gave me the quote for fixes. Just gave me a wide range of things that they recommended to do and when I asked for a quote they never sent it. Better shops out there. Recommend getting other diagnosis before proceeded with them. Had charged me $180 for a diagnosis that was wrong and gave me no real solutions. read more

air condition started blowing very warm, so I called Engy at Torrance Auto Haus! On the phone, she explained a few things that might be causing the problem. When we met a few hours later, she detailed more of what could be wrong. Upon the inspection, the compressor, a relay, or even a leak could be the cause. New Business Owner Engy! I've known Engy from her other 3 shops and she just acquired Torrance Autohaus. I was so excited when she told me, i had to come by and have some work done, in efforts of repairing/restoring to factory quality my CL to an off the lot ride and feel. I had some front end suspension parts worn left to do on my 04 CL55 AMG, the rest of the car has been fixed and serviced. lower control arms, ball joints, inner and outer tie rods, Thrust arms. She previously did my ABC struts and i was very pleased, she also serviced at a different shop the ABC System. She also did pads and rotors and brake flush at her other shop. Ive known Engy for about 3-4 years now and she always looks out for her customers. She is very fair and honest. I plan on bring my cars to her for all my repairs and services. She has a great mechanic that has OVER 40 YEARS of Mercedes Benz experience! His name is miah, I Really do trust them with my cars. I have a 1984 300sd that ive had her do some repairs on as well. I like to gradually fix and replace parts on my cars as i set a yearly budget and i get the basic maintenance out of the way then i do preventative/ restoration repairs. I plan on keeping my cars for another 10-20 years. Anytime i need help Engy always sets time aside for me. Gets me in and out with great care. Engy and her team and brother Sam are the best! Don't hesitate to bring your Mercedes here! I took in my car to Torrance Autohaus on a Saturday to get diagnosed because it had been making a noise. I had already been told what the problem was by a non Mercedes shop but wanted a Mercedes specialist to diagnose it. The owner, who is also one of the mechanics, came in to say what the problem was. The lady that runs the front office called to get a price on the part while the owner was still standing there. When the owner heard the price, he told me that he thought the price was high and that he wanted to call another place on Monday so to give him til then for a final quote. I was very impressed that he cared enough to try and get a lower price on the part. Much to my surprise, the total for the part and labor were lower than the the first price for just the part! It was also $300 less than the non Mercedes place had quoted me. Considering that this place is a Mercedes repair shop, their prices are very reasonable. Not only are they reasonable, but they are honest, fast, and friendly. They have never used scare tactics like some other places to sell me things that I don't need. The place where I bought the tires told me that I needed shocks and struts, and another place said that I needed a water pump! I asked Torrance Autohaus to check these things for me and they said everything was fine. And, if you're a woman, it's really nice dealing with another woman when getting your car repaired. The lady that sits in the office is so nice and friendly and she explains everything. The mechanics also come in initially and explain things as well. So I have to agree with the good reviews that this place is great! This was my third time having work done at Torrance Autohaus and every time I have been very happy. Although I have been taken advantage of at other places, I'm happy to say that has never happened here. read more

Mir the mechanic not only ran 2 diagnostic tests for me but he also explained everything in detail in terms I could understand. He has a good heart with a strong moral compass. i come here to fix my parents benz for the A9 service. theyre super friendly, fast (~1 hour), and they're super easy to find! granted it's about $200+ to get your service fixed, but it's a lot better than the $500+ at the dealership. their location is walking distance (if you dont have another car) from flamebroilers, fosters freeze, etc! read more

When I first came in I was greeted by Rowena, a very nice receptionist. She told me that I could leave my E Class there at the shop and they would take care of it. Long story short Miah, the mechanic who worked on my Benz, took care of the issue in a couple of days that Pep Boys(who had my car over 3 weeks and finally told me they couldn't fix it because they couldn't find the issue because they didn't have and Mercedes Benz certified mechanics) and explained the issue in great detail. I've been taking my Mercedez Benz to Torrance Autohaus since 2001 when I first moved to Los Angeles. Here is something that makes a huge difference; they take care of my car as if it was their car. I really trust their integrity and competence. I have no other mechanic and I would not trade them for anybody else. Their price is affordable and they stand behind their service. Like the posts before me, I had a great experience at this place as. I had just left the Mercedes Benz dealership right before I got to this place and I was feeling a little down since they had quoted me almost $800 to have an oil change and a new battery replaced. On top of that they told me to come back 5 days later because they were backed up and still unwilling to help when my battery went dead at the dealership! All they did was give me a jump and sent me on my way. I remembered Torrance Autohaus Mercedes Benz Specialists since they are located by my job and I stopped to get a quote. I paid $403 for all services needed! Literally 50% of the cost from the dealership! I was so happy and their service was fantastic. I was helped immediately and they washed and vacuumed my car as well as fix my review mirror that was previously dangling at no extra cost. Very honest, and they treated me great. I have a 1994 E320 Mercedes Benz and saw that this place specializes in Mercedes. Called and was able to bring my car in. When I got there i was greeted with a smile with the lady named Rowena and she was very friendly. Told her the symptoms and was relayed to the mechanic. She pretty much knew what the mechanic was going to say meaning that they are very familiar with the cars. After it was finished the car felt like brand new! I thought there would be no hope for the A.C. and that the engine would be major but it was simple fixings at a VERY reasonable price! I drove the car home feeling like it was brand new! Prices are reasonable. So far I've had two services here done. 1. My left back window was falling down because of a bad motor. I did price comparisons all around Torrance. Though this fix was expensive (~290) this place was the cheapest (I have an old Mercedes Benz my dad left me when he died)... possibly because since this is a Mercedes specialty place that can get good prices on parts. 2. I had a bunch of things wrong with my car. I went to get a tune up (cuz I have no idea if my dad did that or not), brakes replaced and alignment and my "check engine" light checked. I ended up having my gas sensor replaced (I guessed that was the problem... same thing happened to my Oldsmobile) and related items. I had the tune up. They told me not to change my brakes because they were not worn yet and that my suspension also needed fixing. They said to fix that first before doing an alignment because you have to realign the wheels anyway after fixing the suspension. The work I did (tune up + light problem and a few other minor things) cost $900. I think it was reasonable though. I believe them because my car sounded different (instead of a high pitched whirr it was more lower pitched... I still had that squeaky wheel sound which I also had suspicions was the suspension... makes sense cuz I didn't fix it yet). I loved their service. I think cuz I was paying an arm and a leg they gave me discounted oil change (very discounted) and cleaned my car for me. They also gave me a key-chain. Seems they do a lot to keep their customers. They are pretty nice. Note, like most places, they are not open on Sunday here. I need to save up money to get my suspension fixed now ($1700). read more

I brought my car in several months ago to have it looked at. I can't remember exactly what the diagnosis was but it required about $1,100 or work. The mechanic that helped (and I believe the owner) was very knowledgable and I feel honest in his recommnedations. Before I was to have the work done but after I signed some paperwork my car was in an accident. Torrance autohaus worked with me on the refund and overall the experience was as good as could be, so although I never had "work" done on my car this place is one I wouldn't hesitate to come back to and would highly recommnend. read more

Be aware! They break stuff on your car or at least say its broken , just to tell you it needs to be fixed. I would suggest getting a second opinion. I took my car to the Mercedes Dealer after Torrance Autohaus looked at it and told me I needed $2,000 worth of repairs and the dealer fixed it for $0. All the dealer had to do is reset the computer! Do not trust your car in their hands. They don't even have the proper machines to check on the car. It's absurd and disgusting. I'd give them zero stars, but yelp does not give me the option to do so. It pays to go to the dealer and spend the extra money or time in this case for peace of mind. Very negligent on their part. read more
