Brought my 2007 Honda Pilot back to Torrance Motors with a VSA and another trouble light (it had been like this for at least 6 months). I had received shoulder shrugs and dire cost predictions from other car repair shops. Torrance Motors told me it most likely needed new wheel speed sensors which they said they don't do...but would diagnose it for free anyway. About an hour after leaving the shop, I got a phone call that my car was fixed and ready to pick up. It turns out the problem was low, variable tire pressures. I was having some trouble with my engine oil, wasn't sure if it was leaking or if there was something serious going on. I messaged the business and Jay was very prompt in responding to me and getting the car in. He checked the car out thoroughly and ensured that there was nothing serious going on with the engine itself or with any oil leaking. Before I start this good long review, I just want to say I just love and admire a honest repair shop. Jay is a good guy. I went on yelp about the problems with my car, within 10 minutes I received feedback from Torrance motors with about 4 other shops. So I went with Torrance motors after reading all the shops reviews. We texted back and forth and they bring it in at 10 tomorrow. The next day I get there about 15 minutes early, and the mechanics jumped on it right away. After accessing the problem, I needed motor mounts because of a rough noisy ride. They said leave it and it'll be ready tomorrow. I was quoted $1600 dollars but when I returned the next morning, Jay said I only owe $800, boy what a honest relief I was expecting the worst, but now I have an extra 800. The dealer would've been thousands and other places would've said we had to replace all the mounts, when that wasn't the case. Torrance motors can do no wrong I'll be returning for more service. I've been having car troubles for a while, I'm in a 2005 Toyota Camry with over 200,000 plus miles, but this thing has been pushing as much as it can. But I had a few months ago went to Jiffy Lube to get an oil change and they said I needed a ton of stuff done. I spent almost 800 dollars cause they said a hose was loose. Then a few months later I was having the same issues and went to another mechanic and spent over 2 grand on repairs! So again recently my engine light comes on and guess what!? It's over the original hose issue. I should sue Jiffy Lube for their Terri of service. Huge disappointment. Took my old MBZ there to get it up and running after years of sitting idle. Long story short, spent about $5000 and they messed up my transmission. First, they fixed the leak and it started to slip out of gear after 20 minutes on the road. Towed it back to the shop and claimed it was fixed and test drove it for a few days. However, after 30 minutes on the road, the same issue occurred plus the transmission was smoking. Now I have to bring it to another shop to see what kind of damage they caused. read more

Honestly, this is the most honest respectable shop I have ever been to. I have been having issues with my car and thought it was the tires. I got my tires replaced at another shop and realized the issue with the shaking was still going on. The shop told me I needed a new transmission. My car is only three years old, so it was hard for me to believe that I needed a new transmission. One of the parents at my kids school told me that they only take their cars to this shop and that they are very fair and trustworthy. So I brought it straight to them. Even though they were very busy, they fit me in and let me know what was going on with my car. Engine mounts. My car was ready in the amount of time that they told me it would be. Apparently there was an additional issue with the car that they had to fix and did so in heat of moment. The additional issue would have cost $140 but because shop did not call me before doing the work the owner ate that charge himself. The owners father rang me up and he told me that they took a loss by doing that because on top of the parts needed for the additional work, they had to pay labor for their mechanics. Thus doubling that $140 Not sure any other shop would have done this, and I felt bad after he mentioned this to me. They ate that charged themselves because they wanted to do good business and showed extreme work ethic. Thank you, Jay !
