Dr. Sara Soumeeh is easily the best endodontist I've ever had. If you're on the fence, do yourself a favor and ASK. FOR. HER. I was previously seen by another endodontist at a different location who attempted three separate times to numb my tooth for a root canal and was unsuccessful each time over the span of three months. I was in unbearable pain and was considering paying $5,000 to anesthesia. At that point, I was convinced an extraction was my only option. After telling this story to Dr. Sara all she said was "okay great, I love a good challenge." This is not your parents' root canal, or even mine from 10 years ago, and Dr. Soumeeh and her team take full advantage of the newest and best practices and procedures!! I could tell I was in good hands at the outset. Before my visit, Nyneth patiently checked (and rechecked) my insurance and assured me I was eligible, which relieved me of that pressure. Then when I arrived, Isabel made me comfortable with her positive attitude and offered me a coffee from the coffee bar. I loved that I was able to communicate via text. I was referred by my dentist to have root canal treatment. I can only talk about my experience so far which was just an xray, quick consultation and appointment set up for root canal treatment to come. I had been having issues with a tooth for over a year. My dentist finally saw what I was complaining about and referred me. I came in, Alfonso was very nice. Greeted me with a smile and guided me to the room. One of the girls up from greeted with a smile. The other was just very straightforward and I'm not sure if she was too tired to make you feel welcoming or if she was just over the day. The office is super clean. Great aesthetic. The physician was quick. Asked what I wanted to do and didn't push "urgent treatment". I said I would come the beginning of the new year for treatment. She looked at the xray and was able to diagnose me. It was a very quick visit. I was given antibiotics to hopefully clear the current situation and ibuprofen for the pain. Everyone dreads having to go the dentist. I know i did. That is until I experienced the care, quality of Endodontix. Dental work of any nature freaks me out and is my least favorite thing in life. With that being said, I have never had a better experience than I did yesterday getting a thorough exam and consultation followed by a root canal. Yes, I had a better time getting this ROOT CANAL than I have getting fillings, etc, at other offices. Evelyn, the dental tech who assisted the doctor, was great communicating with me every step of the way and made me feel supported and comfortable from the moment I got there. Dr. Vahora was great listening to my concerns and needs as well as having SUCH an amazing root canal technique I felt nothing. The relief I felt afterwards both physically and mentally I can't talk about enough. I had what I 'thought' was an alarming concern during after hours shortly after and reached out. I came directly into the office not sure whether or not I needed a root canal and Dr Gabbay tested the tooth in question in various ways to be 100% sure it was actually dead and needed the root canal to stop the painful infection. We had the BEST experience with Dr. Sakib Vahora. My teen daughter needed a root canal and was absolutely terrified, and I was honestly nervous for her. But the moment we met Dr. Vahora, everything changed. He was so gentle, patient, and reassuring -- he explained every step in a calm and friendly way that made my daughter actually feel safe in the chair (which is rare for her). During the procedure, he constantly made sure she was comfortable and okay. He worked with such care and attention to detail -- you can tell he really loves what he does and genuinely cares about his patients. The root canal went so smoothly and pain-free that afterward my daughter literally said, "Mom, I want him to be my dentist forever." ...and that says EVERYTHING. This is the third time I've been to Endodontix in the last 12 years and I have to say each time was a good experience, but my latest visit this week was the best. Not saying root canals are great, but my experience with Dr. Gabbay and his assistant Al, was almost painless. I needed 2 root canals and decided to get them both done. I barely felt the anesthesia (which was amazing because I hate needles) and they made me feel at ease by explaining everything and checking how I was doing the whole time. I followed the instructions on care and the next day actually had no pain or swelling...again amazing. If you need a root canal this is the place to go! read more

Dr Safa was amazing. He was very vocal throughout the entire root canal process and constantly checked on me to make sure I wasn't in any sort of pain. Personally, the hardest part of any dental procedure is the administering of anesthesia but Dr Safa was very gentle and all I felt was a small prick, then almost nothing after. Dr Soumeeh and Al are a dream team. I have never had a root canal and admittedly was quite anxious about the procedure. Dr Soumeeh was patient...extremely patient even after I experienced a slight panic attack. She gave me time to regulate and breathe...made me as comfortable as she could and explained every step of the procedure so I knew everything that was happening. It was all over within 30mins. My rating is solely based on my interaction with the front office staff including the back office staff. Not all dental procedures are nerve racking in nature, however.. the procedure I needed to have done was nerve racking due to previous experience with a different practice. Front Office: 1 star: keep in mind I'm hesitant in calling any office due to being traumatized and speaking with the receptionist wasn't a pleasant experience. It's not what you say, it's how you say it and the tone was far from inviting. I did express that after hearing her tone it made me feel even more uncomfortable of having the procedure completed. Again, I understand that most businesses will Always defend their employees.. however, sarcasm and unprofessionalism should never be defended. Aesthetics: Clean, spacious, organized and bright. Back Office: 3 Stars. my procedure was completed by Dr. Soumeeh and Al. The doctor introduced herself and listened to me as I expressed my concerns for my visit . Both the doctor and Al spoke to me throughout the procedure, checked on me constantly and made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. Prior to the procedure Al handed me an iPad to watch aftercare instructions which were great... after the procedure I was given a hot towel to clean up which is a plus an unheard of. Most practices say, "you're done byeeee". Please note if you feel like you're the only patient in the office.. more than likely you are. Al mentioned that patients are scheduled every hour to allow the doctor time in between each appointment along with giving each patient the 1:1 time. Such an amazing business attribute. All in all.. The dentist especially was very reassuring, direct, and was extremely experienced. He got the job done quickly, efficiently and well. I visited this location twice: first for a consultion after being referred by my dentist and second time for a root canal procedure. Both times I was seen by Dr.Vahora and DA Wendy. The first visit was about 20 mins. Wendy took an xray while I sat in the chair and was gentle when doing so since I was in pain. She put the lead apron on me during the xray and held the other part of the machine while she took the picture. Afterwards Dr. Vahora came in and reviewed the xray, and did a visual evaluation and inspection of tooth. He went over treatment options and answered all my questions.Both Wendy and Dr. Vahora introduced themselves when they entered the room and I appreciate that. Second Visit was for a root canal. I arrived 10 mins early to my appointment and the staff was ready to go. There was no wait time which was great. Wendy asked me to sit in the chair gave me some glasses, a bib, numbing gel prep for injection and handed me an ipad to watch a video about post treatment care. Dr. Vahora did a good job with the anesthesia I didn't feel pain but did feel some tugging during procedure and some pain when he was injecting the anesthetic which is normal. During the root canal Wendy did accidently suction the plastic covering the overhead light. I couldn't tell if the suction tube was changed before it went back into my mouth but I sure hope so. Staff came in right after Dr. Vahora finished what he was doing and started cleaning and preparing room for next patient. Wendy took a post procedure xray while the other staff was fixing things. I know they are trying to be efficient but that was kinda weird and overwhelming after going thru a stressful procedure. If you dont have any kind of anxiety you might be ok with this. Dr. Vahora came back in and quickly reviewed the xray and went over some post care key points and next steps. Facility Pros: This location has an ok amount of parking. Lot is shared with other businesses so not sure how full it get during peak hours. Pay attention so you dont miss the entrance as its located on a busy street. The waiting room was clean and had water, tea, hot chocolate and coffee available for patients. The procedure room also appeared to be clean and organize. Cons: Procedure room has a big window from which intense light shines through and hits you right in the face while sitting in the chair. It does have a shade that helps but not too much. I suggest they invest on UV film to minimize the amount of light coming thru. Reception Staff /Check In Process During check in staff was nice, welcoming and professional. They reviewed my estimate and ask to pay all co payments and share of cost before procedure. One is also asked to sign a payment authorization form to process payment. I usually ask all treatment to be sent for preapproval to insurance to get an accurate cost and avoid suprises. One con during checking was that I was asked to sign a treatment consent form by signing my name in a little black box on the counter. This doesn't allow the patient to read what they are signing or know what you are agreeing to and consenting too. I had to ask for hard copies and signed those instead since they werent offered. I suggest they have ipads or laminated copies available for patients to review so that they know what they are signing. Post Procedure Care info is also sent to email in case you need to review. Staff is kind and willing to answer any questions you may have. read more

This is the place to go if you're in need of help. I came in 34 weeks pregnant with a very painful infected crown. As an absolute "dental chicken", I was pretty scared when I was told I needed a root canal. Dr Vahora was patient, kind, reassuring, and so gentle when I was experiencing pain. He made sure to give me the best possible experience while delivering expert care. The entire staff was kind and professional, and the office itself was calming and really nicely designed. It's only been a few hours but my pain is already nearly gone. While I hope to never need another root canal again, I would absolutely come here if necessary! I went in for a root canal and had the best possible experience from start to finish. From the start the receptionist Nina was very understanding to the pain I was in and tried her best to get me an appointment as soon as she could, even calling me when a cancelation happened and a sooner appointment opened up. Then the day of the surgery I had asked dental assistant Ashley and Dr. Vahara to please let me know what was about to happen before it happen and let me know when we were half way done because it would greatly help with my nerves. They graciously did just that and it made a huge difference. Ashley was very thorough and professional, I could tell she was on it. Dr. Vahara has a calm confidence and welcoming additude. I strongly discourage anyone from using this practice as I experienced very poor treatment here. First, the actual treatment was nightmarish and very painful. I pretty much cried the whole time. The dentist had no bedside manner at all and I wouldn't even send someone I really disliked to receive dental treatment here. Second, their billing and business practices are shockingly dishonest. I made a single appointment in September of last year and visited the office ONE time to have a single procedure. I provided my insurance information in advance and they told me my portion, which was several hundred dollars, and I paid it in full. Then, a few months later, they sent me another bill, stating that, in addition to the procedure I had actually scheduled and attended that I was being separately charged an additional $150 for a "consultation." I never received a separate consultation. I was never examined by this dentist before receiving the sole procedure I visited to get. My real dentist sent a referral in advance, prescribing the exact procedure I needed and which exact tooth. That's what they did. They did not do any type of "consultation" to arrive at this decision or discuss any other options. I've now seen my chart and they apparently didn't even receive records from my real dentist prior to performing the procedure my real dentist had ordered. Yet they tried to pad their bill with an extra $150 charge, claiming that they had separately conducted a "consultation" with me. When I disputed the charge, they left me a voicemail, explaining that we had stopped in the dentist's office on the way to the dental chair and that the dentist told me what procedure he would be performing (again--the exact procedure my real dentist had already referred me to receive). This moment-long discussion was the separate "consultation" for which they were seeking to bill $150. My insurance, unsurprisingly, refused to cover this, so they tried to bill it to me directly, months later, in addition to the significant amount I already paid. When I refused to pay for a separate visit, they made threats about sending me to a collection agent and ruining my credit. (I now understand that this would be against the law, but they do not appear concerned with being truthful on this point either.) They then compounded their misconduct by claiming that I had agreed to this separate consultation appointment and showed me a document with my e-signature on it. But this is even MORE dishonest because, what they did was, when I arrived at the office for my appointment, they told me to sign a grey electronic signature pad, which was blank and not connected to any electronic or paper document. I assumed it was related to my payment of the fees. But then they TOOK my e-signature from that pad and appended it to various OTHER documents, which were not even provided to me until I left the office. So, the first time I saw these documents, my electronic signature had already been affixed to the bottom--by the receptionist, not by me. I'm now in the process of addressing this situation with the insurance company and through the appropriate legal channels, but I would suggest you skip this hassle altogether and find another dentist. Maybe if your insurance is really good, this kind of bill-padding may not be an issue for you since your insurance may just go ahead and cover it. But if they will not, then you'll have to deal with this office trying to dishonestly extract extra money from you for phony extra "procedures" that you didn't ask for or receive. P.S. Their comment about not being able to "confirm or deny" that I'm a patient of record as well as their suggestion that I haven't already contacted the office about this multiple times is absurd and just MORE dishonesty. read more

I was referred to Torrance Endodontix by my dental office since Torrance Endodontix specializes in root canals. I must say, I was very impressed from the minute I scheduled my appointment. I like that the assistant was able to verify my dental insurance benefits prior to my visit. Unfortunately, since I've had multiple dental visits this year I had to pay quite a large amount of money out of pocket. I arrived on time and was taken in right away. Took X-rays and the doctor went over the treatment and asked if I had any questions. Plus while preparing I watched an informative video explaining post treatment indications and everything mentioned was also given in writing! Overall the root canal took about 30mins and 20 minutes for the numbing to kick in. I have had multiple root canals over the years and I have to say this was completely painless and very professional. I like how they placed a drape over my entire mouth to block anything going to my throat, this was the first time I had experience this and it was GREAT!
